That is a nice 2 nights episode with the roof top tent, putting it thru the test of strong wind and down pour. The set up looks easy, just the packing need some practices perhaps. And, you remember the dog treat this time, haha. The camp site is nice, is there any mosquitos issue? Btw I cant help but have to share with you that the 20:09 lovely morning secene outside the windows might get you a S rating. LOL. Thank you again Jun for another nice camping episode.
Yes definitely need practice with this new tent... needs abit of getting used to but so far I love it! The campsite ticks all the boxes for a nice camping experience. Mosquitoes - minimal to none, but at dusk there may be some if you camp further from the river and near the bushes. Alamak I didn't notice that scene laaa... Your eyes are so sharp!

Yes you are right, definitely more relaxing with less crowd. I'm allergic to noise and big crowds, hence always try my best to go on weekdays :)

Hi there, campsite walkarounds and reviews aren't my thing, but I'll try to do so whenever I can :)
I saw hard case rooftops tent used rubber/elastic band hooked (carabiner) to tent wall to help pull/tuck the tent fabric inside while stowing it.
Maybe it helps in your case too.
You have pointed out an important component of roof top tents! Yes indeed carabiners will be helpful. And this soft shell RTT has a set of 4 carabiners (which I forgot to show in this video)

Hello! For sedans, need to be really careful, and find out the load rating of the vehicle first. This tent is about 60kg, even on a SUV like mine, it's already approaching the limit :)

Hard shell RTTs have hard solid top - easier to use and more secure. Indeed I should get a windproof tripod, before I kill my camera! Thanks for watching :)

I think when I was there, the river was just low-key scary, not too crazy. But i believe if it has rained for a few days consecutively, must have been super wild!
time to get a 270 awning!! hahahahahahahha
Ahhh that would be ideal... however the Forester's open tailgate hinders the awning at the back, hence not really feasible :(

Hi there, have not checked. What I know is that the addition on the roof is about 60kg
@@JunOutdoors if you have excess to weight bridge is worth checking it make sure you fully load your car as you going camping before you go there.
Hey Jun! Is it possible to clean the car roof and polish it properly from time to time, with the rtt on?
Hey! Usually there is a 5 to 10cm gap between the roof and the tent - that's where the roof rack or cross bars sit. Cleaning is possible, but proper polishing might not be!

Yes the new toy is awesome...and yes the packing part needs abit of getting used to. But for the comfort and security it provides, I think it's worth it, quite honestly.

Hi there, I believe roof top tents don't require as much cleaning as ground tents, because they are always off the ground and can be kept relatively clean for a longer time. Hi there. Roof top tents are usually mounted on a roof rack or crossbars on the car roof. It's not permanent, but most people just keep it on their cars all the time because its not easy to remove it yourself. Price varies depending on brand, type and size. Ranging from rm3k up to 15k!

Yes can, the capacity is 2-3 person, max load is 250kg :)

Jun tidak pernah guna wind rope buckle sebenarnya, sebab takde bende tu. Jun ikat tali dgn teknik Taut Line Hitch + Quick Release Simple Square Knot... belajar dari UA-cam je :)
