I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Aurora live in concert 3 times and I have no hesitation in saying that out of the scores of artists that I have seen over the last 40 years,no one has moved my emotions like this young artist.as a live performer which for me is the best way to see her,she is simply head and shoulders above anyone around,as a singer songwriter Aurora is the most talented artist to have come out of Europe in a very long time.❤️GENIUS

there is a very early version of 'runaway' at the Øyafestivalen, 10.08.14. that's the first bigger concert of her. the whole concert is so raw and beautiful. it has some really nice songs, like 'getting colder'. 'we are going to do that' and 'awakening'.
Definitely want to listen to those as well. Always impressed by her performances.

On the topic of Aurora going somewhere else while performing, check out this video. It's this same performance at the Nobel Peace Prize concert, but right at the end of Runaway there is a different camera angle. There you can clearly see her struggle a bit to keep her composure and come back to the stage. See timestamp 7:55.

At that age she didn’t quite understand the meaning of the song, and has said it was a gift from young Aurora to the older Aurora.
It has had different meanings to her, but “home” means home to her parents❤️
When she’s been on tour for a while she often gets emotional singing this song, because she’s homesick❤️
This is a fan favourite, but I also love her performance of this at the Honda Stage (emotional) and Nidarosdomen ++

Love this one! Although I have many others I prefer, I think this is her best (and most popular) live performance of what is her most popular song.
It's interesting that you kind of intimated that she went somewhere else, but I don't think you were just imagining that. This was very early in her career, and she admitted to being very nervous here, and wasn't crazy about performing back then anyway. Back then I think she often went somewhere else as a way to deal with her anxiety. You would often see her come back to reality at the end. She once joked that she didn't think she ever opened her eyes during her first couple years of performing.

I cant even imagine going on stage to perform, the anxiety would kill me. I mean i did a couple of book presentations and readings, but my heart was going pretty fast. 😅
