      hey. yeah, the hinges replacement on e93 probably pretty hard process! I did see the assembly, and it looks like a birth nest, mechanical part is sims straight forward, but the elighqment is probably nightmare! Thank you for commenting! Glad I helped you somehow. will be having more videos on covering the convertible roof and and some of the similar pieces!

      There drain's going through the seals, every seal in between roof panels or door gems have seal, and inside each of them a whole, that is a drain system kinda, i would make sure they clean and don't have any debris inside. I was using the tire air pump to see if there no clogs, have another person on other end of opening, also be gentle, you don't want to damage it even more if so, make sure the roof section are even on every corner, also there's drain under back trim piece, which is on the middle panel, it goes to the trunk draining system, they pretty often get clogged. Good luck!

    • @Makhnovets
      @Makhnovets  2 роки тому +1

      In between roof panels there rubber gaskets and they all have hole inside! Just make sure they not clogged, preferably to use compressed air, u can use the tire air pump with cone nozzle, that should get you an idea, another good point is to look where the leak coming from, i would take a water hose and will start poring water on every roof joint, just hoping to find where the water coming from…

    • @Makhnovets
      @Makhnovets  10 місяців тому

      Technically they do the same thing, the sonax is US company, the pflege is German, basically any rubber solution will work for the gaskets, all though the pflege was recommended by BMW, not 100% positive, but BMW community proffer pflege.

    • @Makhnovets
      @Makhnovets  Рік тому

      Compressed air, or metal wire, metal wire soft, compressed air no more then 20PSI, if you can't get it with the air, go for the wire, I would recoment one with the shrink at the end, or get one with insolation, because you don't want to make the hole in the hasket. you can get one from the chain and wire section of ACE or HomeDepo.

    Hey great content buddy. I have same noise issue,bthanks for sharing I'll try to grease it. Since I bought the car Im missing that small plastic cover on a front by the interior light. I guess its for manual opening of the front lock.
    Can you tell how to find that part since I dont know proper name of it.
    As well from time to time there is message "hard top not latched" and I'm not able to open the roof but after short drive beeping stops and roof is working again.
    Strange error.
    Thank for sharing.

    • @Makhnovets
      @Makhnovets  3 роки тому +1

      yes. under that cover is a threads for 8mm bolt, you an screw it in just a little and pull it down, that will expose the square pole, that can be rotated, i will have video in two days in terms of fixing that noise permanently, i finally found the way, after assembling the front portion of the roof, it's all came down to simple procedure!)) also i will have video in terms hinges and adjustments so that will be also interesting topic, but that one will be ready in a week.

      make sure the trunk lid grue are clean, also, there drain on each corner, most of the time they got clogged. the simple test is to remove the padding in the trunk, and pure good amount of wanter on the roof and the trunk lead, then open the trunk and see where the water is dripping from. Most likely the one of the micro switches isn't working.
      The first question is: Does the trunk close all the way?
      Second: do the OBD scan, the car should have faulty code, it should point on exact microswitch that has no signal.
