What I like about these videos is the educational elements - snippets from history, how to catch and preserve fish, how to fix broken boat bits, how to snorkel etc etc etc :-)
Every episode pushes the Kimberlies higher on our list of dream destinations. Thank you, for yet another beautiful, informative, and entertaining upload.
The Kimberley made providing you with beautiful scenery a lot easier thats for sure. The whole top end is fairly dramatic so we trust the new years videos will please.
Your absence of fear and your desire and knowledge when exploring everywhere and anywhere is what makes this channel better than any movie or other UA-cam channel. I've watched everything and now have to wait with baited breath for your next videos...
We channel the fear into respect but it is still there sometimes. We're so happy you have enjoyed them all. We try hard to keep making one each week so stay tuned!
so interesting to see the rock caves and sculptures with all the different colors and the sharks right by the boat. I love the adventures that you take us on with your travels. Very, Very well done channel. Kudo's on you.
We didn't realise the pot of gold waiting for us in our own back yard till we came for a look around. We really enjoy that we can share the experience with people from around the world.
That landscape is amazing. Love the balancing rock formations, caves and waterholes. Beautiful country. Thanks for the video, great job. Cheers for now... ;-}
I’ve now binged watched 11 episodes. I’d better put you down for a while but I will be watching through all of your videos. They’re great and I’m so impressed of how you really do live off the land. Great to watch and thank you for sharing 👍⛵️⚓️ Warren s/y Legend
Beautiful video! The history in the rock. Wow! Sure like the way you chatter back and forth: true signs of a perfect Match 👍👍 Hoping you two: tie the knot in distant future💥 B Deacon Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦
I'm amazed at how much gear you guys pack into your boat. I've seen gear for snorkeling, fishing, climbing, fishing, brewing, fishing - and who knows what else you've got in there.
Great video. I thought there were a lot of poisonous snakes and spiders down under. I would have thought in those caves it was prime snake country. Keep up the great work and having fun.
The top ten most venemous snakes in the world live here but by keeping our eyes open and excercising a little caution, we avoid 99.9% of them. We appreciate every one we see.
Just wonderful footage of ancient grounds. The outdoor shower looked extremely pleasant. I think you could take that girl any where. I think she's going to get to dislike civilization.
Another great episode. Can you do one on tips and tricks on fishing. Where to fish, rigging, lure specifics to type of fish, time of day or night for fishing, what are good eating fish, etc. thanks!
We are planning on doing some segments; 5 minute FreeRange, where we address requests like yours for info related to how we live. There will definitely be some fish catching and preparation content.Stay tuned and welcome aboard!
I love your videos so much I'm going to try and sail to Australia to visit that area! On a different note, do you have to worry about snakes in overhangs/caves?
The small crabs in the mangroves or ghost crabs on sand do great for tusk fish. Some of the aboriginal women in northern Oz are pretty deadly with a handline and a tin of crabs.
They're not so bad. We see a few Taipans and such but we move very carefully through country and live by a few basic rules that keep us out of trouble. At least we're nowhere near auto traffic!
So I guess you's wouldn't be interested in a pair of leather cowboy boots then. The only thing that we need to be aware of here in Canada is bears. A 400 lb bear is as strong as a gorilla can run 50 Km /hr and climb a 20 meter tree in 4 seconds with daggers for claws. If they're hungry they'll just consider you a quick meal, but no poison snakes. This was a great episode . You broadcast my favourite channel. Keep up the fantastic work ! (and have a good time while you're at it !)
Reminds me of a Masai guy I met in Kenya who married a Canadian and was confiding in me that he was terrified of bears. I said sure but you've killed a lion. The reply, yes but I can climb better than a lion. One day we're going to Vancouver and you will be our go-to guy.
I might be in Australia when you're in Vancouver. I have plans to set out to sail the world in a C&C 31 in the summer of 2018. Our paths may cross one day (I hope so) . As long as you's keep making videos I'll keep watching. Fair winds.
The art we featured is a mix of work spanning 500-40,000 years by current estimates. It is the legacy of vastly different tribes of people who moved with the receding and advancing sea levels during the last glacial maximum. The pigment itself is still a mystery but is ochre based bound with some type of fat and resin. The research is limited to a few experts and a lot of it has no oral link in the present day traditional owners body of knowledge.
Love these vids, one of the best sailing channels I've found and I watch too many. I reckon you guys will give the big channels a run for their money before long.
This is another very interesting episode. I love the Kimberly areas that are old as time and I'm thinking the Aborigines in this area had a good life before the Europeans showed up.....same with the Indians in the USA. Too bad that the first Europeans were not respectful and caring like you two. Technology will win over tradition but only at a very high cost.....
You are so good in living of the Land, why don´t you hunt, as little as I Know the northern Territories are crowded with wild Pigs and also with Water buffalos, and even cut in smaller slices, salted and smoked and or dried, would make some fine food. A small 22 LR Rifle would do the job.
Beautiful...and 5 years on you guys havent changed a bit!!
Having a good binge right from the beginning, really enjoying it, you two are the bees knees👍
Love hearing the way you both speak about Aboriginal peoples with such curiosity and respect.
I wish I was 40 years younger, know what I know now ,educational enjoyment and laughter love your channel.😍😍😍😍

indigenous Australians will envy you guys. You have the means, and you teach! We are all learning from you.
You guys crack me up! I absolutely love your senses of humor!!!

Thanks D we were sure someone would eventually like our jokes!
Incredible scenery! Thanks for bringing us along for a visit!

Love that you are showing off the best of Australia - we are lucky to have grown up in such a beautiful country!
We didn't realise the pot of gold waiting for us in our own back yard till we came for a look around. We really enjoy that we can share the experience with people from around the world.

Hey buddy! I'm glad somebody enjoyed that dodgy joke.
There was two of us!
Right! Carry on then! Thank you for the journey into these crazy beautiful caves.
I'm amazed at how much gear you guys pack into your boat.
I've seen gear for snorkeling, fishing, climbing, fishing, brewing, fishing - and who knows what else you've got in there.
Like a floating TARDIS.
Great stuff! Please keep the videos coming!
Great channel, makes me want to go there. Can't wait till the next one.
So I think I am at episode 135 now so it is nice to get a throwback to episode 11 or wherever we are.
Good video. Balancing rock. I never seen Troy so animated about a pump. Hahaha
The outburst 🤣🤣
Very interesting video. Thank you.
As a climber, I was very taken by the rock. As a sailor, I loved the vibe.
you two are beautiful !... keep the clips rolling! :)
Another great one.
Always seems like it takes three times with those foot pumps and you have to use calking, That was a cool balanced rock!
Really well done! I love the unique locations you are exploring!
Thanks. We are spending cyclone season in the far north of Australia so stay tuned for more unique sailing vids!
very well done indeed
Just perfect stuff...thanks again.
Just amazing. Thanks.
Loving your journey and energy.
Thanks Mark

TNC pump outburst for the highlight reel 😂👌
love the rock art..nice mate.
Just wonderful footage of ancient grounds. The outdoor shower looked extremely pleasant. I think you could take that girl any where. I think she's going to get to dislike civilization.
You guys go to some amazing places.
Amazing videos you are making
If I ever get to go sailing like I want to, im heading to your country straight away

you guys are cool..
Great life..
lol tell us how you really feel about the pump lol Ive struck those off the list troy!!
Amazing landscapes. Thanks for sharing. What kind of sharks were they?
The Kimberley is one breathtaking vista after another and the sharks are Tawny Nurse Sharks (Nebrius ferrugineus).
Looking forward to you showering us in humerus puns. Just keep them clean. Otherwise I believe we should be a wash in jokes.
We make no puns when talking about people long dead. It's a very grave matter.
Awesome!
Lucky Aussies ;) fascinating Art. Any idea how old are those paintings; have they been studied?
Buy good quality parts for your boat. Good philosophy to live by.
seems like troy should change his name to jack, jack of all trades, master of quite a few! still wondering about the cookbook though?
I love your videos so much I'm going to try and sail to Australia to visit that area! On a different note, do you have to worry about snakes in overhangs/caves?
Not really. Pascale has a thing with bats though.
Glad the barefoot approach worked out. Did you see any snakes?
Watching missed episodes.
One of our favs
Stunning area, thanks for sharing. Hermit crabs make the best bait by the way. Learn't from Fijian women.
The small crabs in the mangroves or ghost crabs on sand do great for tusk fish. Some of the aboriginal women in northern Oz are pretty deadly with a handline and a tin of crabs.
Blows me away to see you's walking around bare footed in a poisonous snake and poisonous spider infested country. You's are very brave. Cheers

How old is the art work ? What was used for the reddish color ?

Just keeps getting better. Beautiful photography guys. What camera do you use?
Canon 70D Chris and sometimes an Olympus TG-860, though we aren't as happy with that one.
Love these vids, one of the best sailing channels I've found and I watch too many. I reckon you guys will give the big channels a run for their money before long.
Thanks qtube, we're very happy with how the channel is growing.

I think in general humans from all over could have been a little nicer to each other throughout history but with luck we are learning from our past.
must be natives! walking around in bare feet! although does pascal havea kiwi accent? keep up the great videos
Pascale is 100% Aussie but I will tease her about the accent.
nice
👍😊
