My mother, Mrs J.Syed Hussain has worked very hard for the bakery. She has grinded Sugar with her hands, made garam masala using mortar and pestle not mixer and grinder, just to retain the traditional taste. My mother has been a great support in running the Bakery. Mr Ismail is handling the bakery single handedly only from 2005, Till then my father was running the Bakery.
Hi Krupal, I'm from KGF and indeed Ismail is very humble and warm welcoming person whenever we visit the bakery. The snack is very tasty and good. Thanks for your video really loved watching it. 🎉
I also remember we used to clean Raisins and Cut Cashews in huge quantity to make plum cakes Especially for Christmas and New Year. Making Cross Buns. It was a big Celebration for us during Christmas and New Year. The Entire bakery would be illuminated with Lights and Cakes of different colours and Designs. It was a feast for the Eyes and our tummies too. Golden Days. Will always miss those days. I love my KGF, my Love and Favourite Destination.
Worth a visit to KGF BAKERY. The people cook one of the simple & best food. All due water in the soil. I think still the water has not spoiled the entire Kolar district. My mother was born & brought up in bangarpet. She brought cooking skill to our house from that soil.😊
Mr.Syed Hussain's Wife used to make masalas for the puffs and masala biscuits, they used to prepare masalas with hands in large quantity as the buisness was very good those days. She used to cut, grate and grind everything manually as there were no machines like what we have today. Nowadays peeling, grating, grinding, Everything has become so Easy, but it was not like that in the good old days. My mother used to get lunch for my father and Run the Bakery for the Remaining Half day till Night. My mother would walk from Andersonpet to Champion Reefs to give lunch to my Father and help him in the buisness.
This is probably one of the oldest bakeries in the country but I'm sure Goa, Surat, Kolkata, parts of Tamil Nadu, and perhaps even Bombay have older bakery traditions, or at least ones that are fairly concurrent. Right now, the oldest one I'm aware of is Dotivala in Surat which is probably the origin of the nankatai
Good Morning, Sir I am Ravi from Kolar Gold Fields. Thank you very much for visiting KGF and the Bakery. Ismail is indeed a kind, humble and a warm hearted person.
