I was about to write about Shenoy Stores in Jayanagar and realized someone has beat me to it. I am from Chennai and a great connoisseur of good food. My late mother was from Dharwad, my late father was from Kurnool and we have settled down in Chennai since the 50's. Hence I have picked up the cuisines of 3 states and having been in sales and worked the length and breadth of the country the various food of the various states. Thanks to Kripal I do look into his episodes while traveling. Keep sharing Kripal ❤
My grandfather was born and brought up in malleshwaram. When I was young he used to go to Mangalore stores every 2 weeks and get goodi for me ans my brother. Itd been a year sadly since he passed but i still go to Mangalore stores for the memories. Thank you kripal for showcasing this. ❤
True.I think the person in the photo who is no more was working in another Mangalore store opposite to Sampige theatre and he started his own here..The old Mangalore store closed as it's owner was old.But yes brings back old memories and Malleswaram is a home to Konkani Brahmins and Bunts along with other mangaloreans
? @4:00 Google map avoids taking u-turns which are rarely legal in US unless specifically marked .. so if you are on the left and the shop is on the right Google map will try to show a roundabout way but one that is the proper way … seems like the algorithm has difficulty unlearning to suit Indian driving style 😊
Amrith ice-cream has been there for ages and brings back good old school memories. It was popular back then as well but to see the gratitude they have for you, speaks volumes about the work you do. You are definitely throwing more than the light on these stores Kripal :)
Candid type video as a blog is excellent. Seems so natural and like any typical situation that any family normally sees itself in. It provides useful information on various snacks from Mangalore. As it's shot while running errands, you have probably not deep dived into the making of the items purchased which you normally cover otherwise in your regular popular videos.
Mangalore store is a blessing for Keralites too …we buy most stuff from here as we have similar cuisine with coconuts mango jackfruit and various root vegetables
Kripal sir.. amazing video.. everybody treats you with lots of love n treating their family member..even they are not ready to receive the money for your purchase also.. people are loving you a lot..mam speaks Kannada do well,I heard kannada 1st time from her mouth,u have nice home...u r the asset to Karnataka
1:10 Wow...cherry blossoms in Bengaluru India. Beautiful!🌸 7:34 I have eaten Pathrode ( colocasia leaf rolls ) before given by a Persian friend. Taste yummy!😋 9:39 For the moment I thought you are going to buy everything in the store.😅 19:36 It's always good to have more, Amigo!😉 Take care, stay safe & happy healthy eating!😊
After watching this video… the way the shop owners treat you tells the dedication and genuineness that you are doing in your work. Keep going sir… I am big fan of your channel and food lover too..👏🏻🤛
@KripalAmanna Sir you have to visit the Hotel Janatha and give it a try because it's one of the oldest hotels in Malleshwarm 8th cross and the food is really good over there;
Vlog on the go. Refreshing Kripal sir. So much love in all your work which is always evident through the faces of the people you visit. More power to you and all the people behind Food Lovers !
Nice to both the stores in the same video. We lived in Malleswaram 11th cross - Mallige Apartments growing up which is literally in between these two stores. Have fond memories of visiting these stores pretty much every week or so.
There was a mangalire store on sampige road diagonally opposite to sampige theathre and opposite to niligiris way back in 1980 don't know if the shop is there now or us this new mangalore stores there successors just used t8 get all manglirean items including South canara vegetables at that time will visit new mangalore stores while visiting bangalore from CHENNAI

Mangalore stores is a wonderful place, have always visited this place & at Amrith Icecreams, we used to parcel the stuff.... Another place for Icecream is at Rajajinagar Bashyam Circle, known as Shantala Icecream....
Great video!! Your house is beautiful. If we’re not invading your privacy, and if Mrs Amanna is ok with it, you could give us your house tour. I love the cabinet in behind the dining table.
It’s been over 20 years since I lived in Bangalore. We used to shop at the Mangalore store in Malleshwaram a lot when I lived there…and still shop there whenever we visit. Love the variety and choices….and some items can’t be found anywhere else. ❤️ thank you for this trip down memory lane. Ditto for the ice cream shop. My Mom worked around there, so we would get tubs of that amazing ice cream.
The solace for anyone from South Canara side are these Mangalore stores. It was surreal to see you there and I have watched your earlier episodes where you have binged on many things Mangalore - and even your visit to the Balli Shop in Mangalore was awesome!
Hi kripal, There are 3 mangalore stores in Jayanagar and 1 in basanagudi that are much older than this, not to belittle anyone but as a matter of fact..... There is pai foods in Jayanagar 9th block, Shenoy stores in Jayanagar 4th block, mangalore stores off dvg road and few more.
It is a vlog kind of videos. He doesn't visited shop intentionally. He got this shop when he is visiting amruth ice cream. If he visited particular shop,it will be in food lovers tv.

kripal sir this partiular vlog is so satisfying for food lovers like me as you have patronised 2 of the good enterpeanuers especially the ice cream parlour which they manifacture in their shop and use branded packaging for covers
Awesome episode Sir!! You have built such a good connection with people you meet. Recommendation: Just beside the Mangalore store, there is a chaat shop which serves the best chaats in Malleswaram hands down. Do give it a try - their kachori, alu Puri are the best.. Happy eating ❤
The new construction you mentioned in the video near mantri square metro station is a new apartment coming up within the vicinity of mantri mall Kripal sir. I am your biggest fan sir. Love your videos and thank you.
The problem with Indian businesses is we don't scale up. Shops like this should have branches in every Indian state but instead we have to overpay for foreign ice-creams - Baskin Robbins, Kwality - which I'm sure are of much inferior quality. COME ON INDIANS WAKE UP AND TAKE RISKS. 🇮🇳 Can't beat China playing safe!!
Hello Kripal, It's really wonderful to see this vlog of your visit to Mangalore Stores and Amrith Icecreams. Not just because I am a part of it 😀 but because we have a deep connect with both places and always visit when we are in Malleshwaram. Many of the items you selected at Mangalore Stores are what we regularly buy. It was indeed a privilege to meet you at Amrith Icecreams. Enjoy watching your vlogs. Thanks!!
There is a similar store in JP NAGAR 7th phase and named the same "Mangalore Store" too. Really mind blowing. We never end shopping there!!! So much variety. Please do plan to visit........

Wow, what a display of human emotions. This is what makes someone's day. When one's work touches people one is working great.

I love the way she tells " en bari onda tagond bandidiya" 😂😂
Mangalore store in Bangalore is an emotion for Mangloreans❤
True, it is.
Exactly!..my husband(who obviously has nothing to do with Mangalore) keeps pulling my leg about the same😅
If anybody says from they r from Kundapura, u hv to see his face it will become red & no end for his joy.
Kasal maraya….wonder why you Mangaloreans come from a clean city and struggle in a dusty city like Bengaluru and end up spoiling your health
Mangloreans / karavali peoples are so good
You should get a big award for saving many families ❤
Just doing what we can, Thejas. 🙏
A true gentleman this man is. A true connoisseur of foods and support the self funded entrepreneurs.
