It’s not a downswing if you’re a losing player. Airball is a losing player in most streams he plays on, and most of the streams are pretty soft.

The fact he thinks he “won in theory” against Berkey is hilarious. You won two 500k pots and STILL got absolutely dusted. You were steaming half the match! This guy is delusional

@@lukamilas8648 Airball had the chance to keep playing and chose to wave the white flag. Noone who thinks they are winning taps out early, esp when they have a bunch of side action that they will snap lose on top of the loss in the match. Claiming to be 'winning in theory' after surrendering early is about as sad as it gets. But that's nothing new to Airball, he's the king of claiming to be the biggest battler out there and then bitching out of matches he asked for. Look at Garrett accepting his challenge after Berkey destroyed him and he tapped out early, all of a sudden Airball plays the victim and purports to take the moral high road while crying 'ohhhh there was a statute of limitations on my challenge, I don't like this toxicity'. Paaaaathetic.
@@paulpascoe663 plenty of very strong players have quit HU matches when they were losing. Poker is a game of momentum, people play better when they are winning as opposed to when they are losing. Airball was very smart to quit him. HU is merciless, you can go on a massive downswing very quickly and it’s very difficult to come back.

15min in...this is a bit like watching an intervention. I think players should have downswing thresholds where if you lose too much you just take a break no matter what. Breaks are really the only way to heal from severe tilt.
Yes we should all have a killswich, do bad our brains are wild the opposite way. A gamblers killswich is rock bottom. And i speak out of experience. We are no different from Pavlov's dogs.

If you play this game long enough it humbles everyone. I like this version of Nik and wish him better luck. I know when the down swing ends for him he will really appreciate the wins and win with dignity.
I had a horrible downswing after a sun run for several months. Took some time, studied more and took stock of the great things that my life encompasses. Now I'm back, better off for it and have been just playing more solid and things have really improved. Mental game STRONG
Just had a sun run with a 15k score then 13 sessions in a row winning in cash. Finally lost with 80% yesterday. Ready for what comes. Might even switch things up pre emptively.

Getting out of a downswing is a personal decision. Some people would need to take a break, maybe get far away from poker for a while. Others need to play their way out of it. Study more, look at hand histories, and remember: Volume cures variance.

With the way Nik busted onto the scene with the confidence he had in his skill reminded me of Durrrr when he showed up on Full Tilt and was stacking everyone, and then Antonius took on the HU challenge and kind of chopped his ego down some. But the difference between Tom and Nik, is Tom is a savant when it comes to Poker.
