    I kind of get the raise turn by Ryan but once he’s called he has to realise Nik has AK minimum, or a pair with A of Hearts even and can’t get him to fold when the heart comes on the river, it’s just probably the most ridiculous torching of money on the river I’ve seen

    • @sinatra222
      @sinatra222 10 місяців тому

      I'm not justifying Ryan's play, but Nik could have just as easily had a set, as played. Remember, it was a 5-bet pot pre-flop. Set of queens or jacks makes a lot of sense. And he probably folds a set on the river heart.

    • @jamesdslaughter
      @jamesdslaughter 10 місяців тому +1

      I wonder if Ryan torched it to keep Airball around for more shows.

    • @petergiacalone7519
      @petergiacalone7519 10 місяців тому +1

      @@sinatra222 I'd be surprised if Nik 5 bet pre with 10's or JJ's, but maybe. The problem is Nik also could easily have AA or KK with Ace/King of hearts, or AK suited with Hearts, Nik was the 5 better. Does Ryan think Nik is going to fold KhKx against that river shove? And knowing how Nik plays, he definitely could have AK with only one of them being a Heart, which is also calling the turn raise and river shove. But Nik doen't even need that good of hands to 5 bet pre, which he showed in this very hand, so there are just way too may Ace and King high flushes Nik could have on the river to shove like that, IMO. Would you really be surprised if Nik 5 bet pre againsts Ryan's straddle position with Ah5h as a semi-bluff? Because I wouldnt, and Nik also plays the Ah5h nut flush the exact same way as he played this straight flush.

      @@jamesdslaughterhow much do you think they make off these streams?? 😂

    • @jamesdslaughter
      @jamesdslaughter 10 місяців тому

      @@philivey06 This is a quote from another site. "Viewer donations are likely insignificant, but they have paid chat subs and probably do very well with merch revenue selling things like Bleff and HCL hoodies, chatpros caps/shirts, etc. Their initial revenue comes from the contract with Hustler to get paid to run the show, and yes- the livestream 100% exists to promote the casino and the casino pays them for it. But I think aside from merch, the biggest revenue is from selling advertising and offering multiple sponsorships. WPT appears to be their title sponsor, plus they do a number of paid promotions for mostly gaming industry companies, like Prometheus Poker, StakeKings, OnlyPoker, etc as well as ad space they sell on their felt. They also make alot of ad revenue from pre-mid-post roll commercials and the ‘Gaming’ category has a higher ad revenue tier on UA-cam, and they generate alot of ad revenue from their streams and livestream recorded content. So overall they have a ton of revenue streams and are doing really well."

  • @legendary.super.shannon9699

    Nice call by Ryan in the pocket 9s vs AK pot. Vs someone who plays like Nick (whose entire play-style & reputation is essentially high V-pip big stack bully, capable of making that play w/a wide variety of hands), w/the line he took, check-calling is almost always the best option there. Unfortunately he got hit by a brutal cooler the subsequent hand, & then got gifted a miracle boat in the 1 that followed (which he played way too passively btw; w/out question he should've re-raised huge on the river after hiting the 10 w/7% equity, because there's really no reason not to) & then proceeded to pick the worst possible spot to attempt a bluff, given he had no blockers to any made-hand, much less the stone-nuts & there was really no logical reason to do so other than he just decided in his head was gonna try to bluff before he even saw his cards, which is especially dumb considering meanwhile Nik's sitting on a flopped straight-flush, praying for him to have a big enough hand, worthy of leading out into him - basically what I'm getting at is, everything he did in this video besides the 1st hand was the exact opposite of what 1 _should_ do in those situations, which completely negates every good thing i pointed out initially about how well he played the pocket 9s.
