Fun fact for those less observant and willing to play this game for yourself, the lights will flicker in the presence of the monster. I haven't completed the video, and I will eat my words if kaifu mentions it.

@@Kaiff2 i like how the creepy fucker is completely unfazed by 2 shotgun blasts to the face, makes me think the shotgun is more of a safety blanket than actually being useful

In one of the audio logs, the people inside the bunker complained that they are just wasting bullets because the monster is immune to bullets
@@30cal23 All the guns are a safety blanket. It does basically nothing. You may stun it to get away but that's about it.

also a not so fun fact : this game takes place in the battle of verdan one of the most deadly battles in history reaching the deadlyness of the battle of stalingrad, they used many types of gas poison and experimental tanks further more the battlefield of verdan is still poisoned to this day and still recovers even after 100 years no one is allowed to live in the area

@@Kaiff2 i think a document mentions it and pretty sure a dev also said the game will be taking place in verdun, also the scenery for example the moment you stepped out on a bunker in the french land that would be somewhere near the belgian lands(also the gassing for a man to carry a gasmask you where either on the russian front or verdun)

The amnesia series were one of the few horror games to actually give me nightmares. Hope this can do the same

15:28 Is one of those little details that isn't needed but is a great touch.
Not sure if anybody has pointed this out to you Kiffy, but the weird cutscene you got when you jumped into the pit is a secret! The red-black light that rushes to you very strongly resembles the shadow from the Dark Descent, (same colour and sound). Implying whatever the big electric thing is down in the pit, is that it's actually a portal, somehow linked to the location/timeline of the other amnesia games! :D
You missed the monster’s origin from the pool where you got Lambert’s code.

The water you give lambert when you rescue him? That stuff turned him into the monster. It’s detailed in a note you find in his locker.

@@Kaiff2 It’s vague, but the implication from the sounds while the screen is black is that the bottle was empty and the protagonist filled it from the nearby water in the pit. That water is what’s contaminated and caused both Lambert’s mutation as well as the rats.
Wait what? Where do you even see that? I don't see anything about a lambert or water in this video, is that something not in the video that kaif didn't include?

The spinning rat at 14:33 made me think of the horizontal spinning rat with free bird in the background
The monster seems to work a lot like the xenomorph in Alien Isolation, that's pretty cool!
Alien isolation gave me severe ptsd of hospitals.
Moving from twitch to youtube is a great idea, views may be down for a while but the discoverability is higher and some youtube only peeps (me) sometimes actually check in on the stream since I dont have to go to a worse platform
I would say having versatility is important cause UA-cam is scary with its bans
He already had a UA-cam channel for discoverability. Twitch was never designed for discoverability, nor does it advertise itself as such. Apples to oranges

Funny thing, you can save the german if you hurt the monster into retreating before it kills him, and by closing the gate after getting the item
Qnd you can also kill the beast at the end :)
You gotta destroy the wooden bridge out from under him and send him to the shadow realm, you can break the bridge with the shotgun but he'll dodge it's used, you gotta use a nade

I hope we one day see an amnesia horror game where there are no jumpscares or monster hunting you.
Maybe you play as a detective looking into the aftermath of someone who had amnesia and already went about the story.
When playing as the detective the horror comes from piecing things together and the knowing that "these" scary events already happened and could happen again depending on how much you piece together.
Or some other idea playing off the idea that the horror doesn’t come from jumpscares but from what the human mind can fill in the blanks with as they play throughout the game.
The dark decent was amazing but finally an amnesia game that seem scarier then the previous one

As for you switching from Twitch to UA-cam is not much of a huge change [sorry if that one came off as rude. I just meant it as in like ''Switching from one platform to another wont change a thing. Only the Platform changes, not the shedule and everything else '' :,) ]. Twitch is a good platform, yes [not anymore in my opinion]. But UA-cam is actually way safer and less annoying with Ads [or barely has any Ad's involved when streaming]. It won't change anything though, cuz YT streaming is just the same as Twitch, just without ad's popping in every fucking 15 minutes in the middle of the streams :T

What makes this sad is that the soldier you play as is most likely just a regular guy who signed up to war, not even that old
It's been a long time since a horror playthrough made me genuinely stressed and scared. Not a huge fan of playing horror games myself, but the devs did an amazing job with this one.
@Kaif. Just so you know I watched a Tav episode prompted from 6:25 and found it engaging and of iterest, thus it worked as intended. ^.^ Deliciously ironic it was the Hot tub drama one and I've reached the point where you talk about tossing out info, shorts and clips in other areas/medias.

Honestly I loved this game, just finished it last night and it was genuinely one of the scariest and coolest horror games released since Isolation. Absolutely loved the story for it, and it just continues Frictional Game's track record of making amazing games.

Ngl i couldn't watch kaif live on stream much due to me not being a twitch person with the ungodly amount of ads i get like just watching a stream sometimes on the goods parts i get ads it's even more so on mobile(for me atleast) so its really nice knowing he is transitioning to youtube.
I enjoy watching kaif and the salt raiders since every upload gives me something to enjoy, afterall all during a tough time a while back watching kaif and the bois made me able to endure the hardships and made me try streaming once i get a good set up(or maybe judt after college)

Hey, Kaif, I think you might enjoy In Sound Mind. It's listed as a psychological horror but is probably only in that genre by technicality. Still a damned good game though, and it's short enough that you could probably finish it in one or two streams.
