    I understand about eye site problems! You can get stick on readers. They stick on the lower part of your riding glasses so you can see the TTF easily. They come in different strengths to suit your needs. Inexpensive and stay on the lease even when washing them. Makes riding so much more enjoyable! Thanks for posting!

    The zumo xt on my wr250r works great, I have now added a small tablet for my roll charts that I write myself with the Rally Navigator software.
    The combination is really working out for me on the trail.
    Keep up the good work 👍👍👍

      That must be a great combo, a digital roll chart is next level and one I've been thinking of to replace the paper roll chart which is hard for me to see at times. I'll check out the Rally Navigator software. Glad it's working out for you on the wr250r. Cheers and thanks for the comment!

      Which Rally Navigator software do you use?

    Great tip! I run roll charts all the time and never liked resetting mileage as I use the trip to monitor fuel. I’ve been using a rally computer app on my phone for a while but I think it’s time I grow up and get a proper GPS.

      Thanks! It took me a while to finally purchase a proper GPS and like you I used numerous apps. The problem was when I was in the deep wilderness with zero phone reception, the Garmin made a big difference. Thanks for watching, cheers!

    Not sure if anyone cares but here are some helpful sites for creating your own onroad/offroad adventure using zumoXT. I plan 700+ off road mostly rides for a group of buddies and after many hours of research here is how I made custom tracks for my ZumoXT.
    Download Garmin Basecamp, Garmin express, and Garmin Explore. Garmin express allows your gps to get files directly from your pc when it is plugged to it. Garmin Basecamp allows you to custom create any GPS route and upload it in GPX or KML, and Garmin Explore acts like the cloud. Any track or waypoint you put on Explore will sync to your ZumoXT when it is turned on next.
    So I create a set of tracks on garmin basecamp. Upload those to my computer in GPX format, then I go to Garmin Explore and Import the file from my computer I just uploaded and next time I turn on my ZumoXT the tracks are on there.

      Thanks! Very helpful. I only have Garmin Express and Drive. I'll look up Basecamp and Explore on my PC as well. Enjoy your 700+ mile trip, wish I could join you!

    I bout the Zumo ct too.
    It does not come near to the old Street Pilot onto which I put 180,000 km on an RS1100 BMW. I need 3 things only which were easily get on that one:
    Pull up the map, then you’ll see where u are. Then put a point onto the map and press go there. And he was telling every turn till you get there. Second:
    Off road mode: pulls a yellow line from ever u are to the point you want to go. This line always the where ever you are, áll You have to do is shorten the line till the end and u r there.
    Third: find a motel.
    There are many other convenient things if you want it by pressing buttons and no thing hidden behind other screens. Look it up.

      Thanks for the info, I'll look it up. It seems as more technology becomes available, the GPS units become more complicated when the real intent should be to help us simply get from point A to point B. Thanks for the comment.

    Your road book holder looks really neat. Is it one that you bought? If so, could I have the details please?

      It’s the Moose Racing Side Load Route Sheet Holder. It’s worked well so far, used it for numerous events in all types of weather. Easy to load and use. Thanks for watching!

    What if you pass the point and your overall mileage is off? You need to be able to subtract that extra distance from the main mile counter.

    • @theEHWAZ
      @theEHWAZ  Рік тому

      That is correct and it happened to me a few times. There is no way I'm aware of to adjust the mileage if you get off route and get back on again until the next reset.

    What is the brand of mount you have for your KTM? I have the Zumo 396. I'm looking to upgrade but want to mount my GPS above my speedo display like yours.

    Can you let us know your GPS mount , is that original plastic and drill 4 holes to it?
    Also a seperate question - are you using stock R seat for off road or other choice?

    • @theEHWAZ
      @theEHWAZ  3 роки тому +1

      For the GPS mount, I ordered a CNC aluminum GPS mount to replace my KTM 790 ADV R plastic mount. I also ordered a RAM Mount ball adapter that matched up perfectly to the Garmin Zumo XT base. The R seat is stock. Thanks for watching!
