I’ve had a similar keyed solution and I’ve never been near an Ann Summer’s stockroom.😉🤣 Gives you great peace of mind as I never trusted the button lock anyway, I take it off overnight or when I leave the bike in quiet situations.
I've seen this Zumo accessory a while ago, but the Stackry service is new to me and could be really useful. Did you have any issues with customs/vat charges, what did they cost? Does there need to be a customs declaration label on the package? I think a video on the details of the Stackry service (and perhaps some alternatives) would be of interest to people around the world, and extend well beyond motorcycling, also boosting your YT profile and views.
You can make the customs declaration via Stackry as they repackage the item for you. I put the price and what the item was and I had no further charges when I arrived in the UK
I had the Motopumps Xt lock or my Garmin XT on my Tenere, such a simple and great design, I bought mine Motopumps via UK Ebay, but they don't seem to be selling now.
Thank you for this, Thats good news re the shipping option. I had discovered the moto pumps lock a while back but had to give up when they would not ship to the uk. Still pretty expensive but it does stop constantly popping the bulky XT into an already full pocket every time I stop.
Hi Tony it’s great you champion useful products for us not just the same old bike reviews that other UA-cam pumps out, this product is a prime example cheers mate.
Yep I had no vibration when mounted to the bars, a different story on an arm above the dash. The Touratech is a good product, just not for all applications.
I've had the Moto Pumps lock on my Garmin attached to the bar above my screen on my Aprilia Tuareg since I bought the bike. It's an amazing device both deadly simple and on my bike it's tucked into a space behind the windscreen that to take my Garmin necessitates smash the windscreen and all the carriage attached to it. I feel so confident w/ this device that I rarely if ever consider taking it off other than to update my Garmin to my computer. I did buy extra tools lol, it's like losing a key, as there is really no other way to unscrew the rod, it's that theft proof really. Of course should a thief have that tool........
If you already have a mount for the Garmin to 12mm Bar connection, MotoPumps makes a cheaper $70 version that is just a thin plate that sandwiches between the Garmin and Bar mount that provides the exact same locking mechanism.
Looked at one of these for my XT, at the time it was only available in USA and the thing was with import way over priced. So went with a different lock from a company in Netherlands.
Great video Tony. I have the touratech mount for my tiger, and it does stop you using a tank bag. Also, a great work around on the shipping. Thank you👍
Great review, direct to the point with an also great idea to solve a "big" issue for some of us. It was just looking for such a solution...I will go for it too...Thank you for your advise
I have the Touratech mount and it is excellent but overkill and is a real faff to get the key in when mounted above the dash as there is so little space between it and the screen on my Tiger 900. Probably wouldn’t swap it but had I seen this before buying, suspect this would have won
Great video. I'm going to look into getting one of these. I currently have mine mounted on a Ram Ball mount on the handlebar but would like to move it where you have yours. Thanks
I purchased the security plate for my Zumo and very disappointed that i could still remove the GPS. There is a gap between the security pin and the release tap of the unit. The mounting holes are slightly out.
I have the touratech on a ms above the screen for a while and can confirm the extra weight caused it to shake like a happy rabbit, it’s on the bars now though, but I think with the touratech it’s clearly for theft but also wouldn’t shift offroad, this looks good though
I have the Touratech - mounted high behind the screen on my 2011 GSA and it vibrates like buggery around 70. It is heavy. This looks a much better, lighter solution. I think the TT item just ‘looks’ more off putting for opportunists maybe.
Thanks for the review, good, honest and clear. My own solution is just to put the XT in my pocket when I walk away from the bike.

exactly what i was looking for. Just what i needed. Ordered! thx!
Hi Tony, talked to you about this very thing at the ABR Festival. Fantastic solution for my AT. Thank you 🙏
No problem and great to meet you

Ive had the touratech licking mount for 12months no totaly secure and no vibration at all. Look very neat and tidy when sat nav monted

It still is only currently available in the USA. But I’ve found a handy option for shipping….
I found one in the Netherlands on an out dated web site but the company seemed to have disappeared into the ether.

Great video. I have a Zumo XT in a Touratec mount and I've been looking for a lighter-weight mounting option.
What, a youtube motorcycle channel that’s not hawking a free to them accessory? 👏 I have their basic mount with my XT2.
Interesting review but sadly, I can't see if working for my Zumo on my Victory Octane😢
Great video. I'm going to look into getting one of these. I currently have mine mounted on a Ram Ball mount on the handlebar but would like to move it where you have yours. Thanks
No problem
With this, have you ridden off road? I’m curious to see if anyone has had their Zumo pop off, vs using the Touratech cradle….
I have, and it hasn't, its very firmly fixed in place
I purchased the security plate for my Zumo and very disappointed that i could still remove the GPS. There is a gap between the security pin and the release tap of the unit. The mounting holes are slightly out.
Intersesting, did Motopumps have a response?
Hello, where can I buy that mounting bar you have on the bike? I would like to know what parts are required to mount this on a Honda fury ?
The mounting bar is from Givi, but I can't see how it could be made to fit a Fury, I suspect you'll be better off with a handlebar mount?
Hi there am looking for something like that for my cfmoto mt800 can you help me out were to order it as I live in Northern Ireland thanks
All the details are in the video

Yep, the Touratech is a great product, but it doesn’t work in every scenario. This one does a really good job at what I need it for

@@mancavemotoI wish these things were easier to get in uk, someone is missing out on a larger market, have a good day 😊
Very helpful, thanks for posting and the links.
Glad it was helpful!
Can't wait for (key) locking solution
?
@@mancavemoto Can't wait for (key) locking solution
Got myself a Zumolock wich works similar but uses a little key. Great little thing for only 79 euro's. 👍
Good to know!
Did you also get hit with import duty as well?
No, I shipped it via Stackry and got no further charges
Thank you, I'll give it a go, keep up the good work my friend even though every time I watch your channel it seems to cost me money.@@mancavemoto
