- Hi, my name is Claire. I'm slowly transforming our English country style house into a home, while creating a cottage and kitchen garden at the same time. This ASMR silent vlog is about adding some cottage charm to our new greenhouse. I use handmade and upcycled items to add cottage charm to this new space in our kitchen garden area. I plant spring floral containers and replant perennial plants I dug up a few weeks ago to the cottage charm. I love all aspects of a simple life. This week, the area around the greenhouse has been transformed and I look forward to watching the plants grow and fill the space as the spring season progresses.

Glad you like them! I used to visit Hastings all the time. Loved the black fishing huts, fish and chips at Maggie's and then a wander up the old High Street to visit Made in Hastings.

Just beautiful! What was the purpose of the plate and turned over pot? I thought you were making a bird feeder with it, but then you put it on the bench?
Thank you! The plate and pot are a twine holder. The end of the twine stays outside of the pot so it never gets lost or tangled. It also stops the twine from zooming all over the place when I'm trying to get the right length. Hope that all makes sense ;-)

Thank you! We live in the United Kingdom. It is early spring and I can't wait for the garden to fully wake up.
Oh and a question: I understand you build the greenhouse yourself? Is it your own design? And since we're going to build one as well but want to design it ourselves, is there a video about building the green house?
Hello, ours is a greenhouse that we bought as a kit and unfortunately, there isn't a video of us building it as I hadn't started my UA-cam channel at that stage. Now we have an understanding of the process, I think it would be quite straightforward to design and build your own. I've seen some amazing ones built out of reclaimed materials. Good luck with your build!
A suggestion, to place some slabs of stone inside on the south wall of greenhouse so that you benefit from passive solar heating from the sunshine during the day and then at night will release too. if you research some of the large estates in UK you will see they had the means to build greenhouses to feed the household and they were in a walled garden and the wall that would receive the most sun was stone or brick. In the 1800's, they were smart back then. There is a yt video of a couple in Wales and they video building a passive solar greenhouse and document the temperatures and produce results.
