de esser should be placed before the compressor. It will have an easier time finding offenders. placing after is not the best
You’re absolutely right! I made a mistake. I usually use pro tools and normally send all my main vocals to a bus, and I put a DS on every individual track before it’s sent to the main bus but in logic I just completely forgot. And I was so focused on making the video I didn’t realize my mistake, thank you for correcting. I’m going to pin this comment so it helps others

Interesting. I’ve been pretty unsatisfied with DeEsser2. Maybe I should go back to this one instead.
When you demonstrated it with the Eq to analyse where the s-es are it was heavily effected from the hihats of the beat! .....In genereal I would recommend when you're doing a deessing tutorial to play the vocal without the beat, because like I've mentioned already it's pretty hard to hear the s-es for beginners when the hihat is playing at the same time! Maybe that you play it only at the end with the beat, because at the end of the day, of course the vocal must sound good in the context of the mix!

Yeah I was having the same problem, did you upgrade your logics to the latest version?
@@hihaterzitzme I think desser 2 comes with the latest versions of logic. I would think the #2 is better anyway ?

When I Play with the upper left frequency setting i can see the upper Windows in the Middle Is moving. Ok good.
But when I Play With the upper right frequency setting. Than the Window in the middle down below moves.
U said it Is the space between the left setting and the right setting. That All S frequencys between These two settings. Is that right?

this is the older version
new one is simpler
I've only got desser 2
That works too, it’s the updated newer version of my deesser
Same exact concept, mostly same buttons too just looks a lil different. Might even be easier to use.
