Buvey needs to understand that the charges are not about Manchester City from 2019 to 2024. They relate to breaches of Financial Fair Play regulations over a nine-year period, from 2009 to 2018.
Even if Manchester City had sold every player in their squad last summer, it would have no impact on their case with the Premier League. It's embarrassing that he doesn't grasp the basic premise of the case his club is involved in.

The way fans and pundits talk about Arsenal is so disingenuous. Playing Villa, City and Spurs away in the first 5 games of a new season is no small feat, travelling to Italy and playing the Europa League Champions on a Thursday night in no small feat. Baring in mind we haven't lost yet? For years we were bullied at away grounds, losing 6-0, 5-0, 4-1, regularly. Now we've toughen up and don't allow other teams to score, it's "Arsenal park the bus", "Arsenal play negative football". It's hypocritical and disigenous.
It's because they don't want to see Arsenal do well. They enjoyed the seasons where we were technical and weak physically. Now we're one of the most physical, and one of the most technical teams in world football they can't find an easy weakness to the team. So it's time to pull out the "You've not got a striker", "You play boring defensive football".... ignore that we scored the second most amount of goals last season, and that we press high up the pitch when we need to.
Can't believe they have let rory and buvey on first time I've seen them on for ages represent both clubs very poorly.

All these ex United players analysis when it comes to Arsenal is so basic and clearly from a bias standpoint.

Comparing the City situation to Rangers/Celtic is ridiculous. The Scottish league had two teams that matter, one was dropped to the bottom league, the Premier League has teams that finish 7th and win the Champions league. If the City left the league it would only be bad for City, the league itself would carry on as normal.
It still puts a huge question mark over the integrity of the league though.

Demotion to the League 1 is not enough if City are found guilty. They should be banned from competing for 2 years and demoted on top of that. A demotion for these owners would mean that the investments would be worth it. Because they can easily make sure they have a good enough squad to go straight back up. If you think Arteta's strategy is to prioritise defence and cling on, then Moyes is the more likely influential manager - 04/05 Everton achieved their best Premier league finish using that approach. Arteta was superb that season.
