Glad to hear that she's pursuing a higher level of education, but at the same time. ...there's so much raw talent here that should not be tossed aside. This girl needs to be onstage sharing her gift with the whole world. She'd be a perfect fit in the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, a perfect marriage of classical and metal. Which, IMHO, are truly one and the same. Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Paganini were the first metal musicians, they just did it on the piano instead of the guitar.
@@Impalaman1968 she had a good time on youtube as her stage, I don't know of any concerts of hers but there are youtube videos of widely known guitarists reacting to her playing their songs... the guitarist from Dragonforce (Lee) watching her play through the fire... or Steve Vai watching her play For the love of God. Listen to it... she is playing it at the tempo called out by Ludwig Van himself - "presto agitato" which is about 255 beats per minute. The Sonata was written for piano. He was the flat-out best pianist of his day. Not more than a couple dozen people in the world can play this brutally difficult piece at that tempo. And she makes it look easy.
Ah! You finally discovered this exceptional young French lady. Check out her other stuff. She is really, really something else isn't she! 17 years old at time of recording...17!!! And the smile when she finishes...Nailed it!! Love this girl!

Without a doubt, one of the most amazing things I have ever seen and heard. I DO take in her age, this is what set everything apart. A Master. I wish I could explain it all to everyone that does not understand what is going on, I feel it would have no place as those of us that know, can understand. Just Magnificent...

"Prodigy" is a word we came up with to explain why the child is so much better than most adults. We can't deal with it logically, so we have to redefine the situation.
"Don't want to interrupt the greatness". Yeah, Jamel, that's it. I've been playing guitar for 43 years now, have taken lessons from one of the very best- Rusty Cooley- and I understand what she's doing, but I can't even come close. Neither can 99.999% of guitar players.

No, no. No No. Looking is something you get over fairly early on on any instrument. Things move far too quickly for visual feedback. Anyone who can't play in a pitch black room hasn't spent enough time to be a journeyman, let alone master-level playing, on any instrument. You don't try to do this it just comes as a side effect of playing the heck out of something for long enough. And there a plenty of 'journeyman' players who are terrible musicians so it is definitely not any measure of quality. Please, meet a musician, we don't bite, or not a lot!
If you haven’t heard the full Moonlight Sonata, I highly recommend reacting to it. People have been reacting to it lately, really appreciating great classical music and it’s beautiful to see ^_^ Beethoven’s 5th Symphony is also great
And the 3rd, 7th, 9th, all the symphonies in fact, and sonatas, concertos, etc, etc, etc. And he ended up totally deaf. He couldn't play the piano anymore. But he could still play inside his head and he wrote it all down for us to enjoy. Hail LvB and all those who are skilled and dedicated enough to bring his music to life. And Hail Tina S. This is difficult enough on the piano. Insane for a guitar.
Tina S is a fantastically talented young lady. I truly hope she comes back some day. I also hope that she has a wonderful life other wise. She seems to be a very nice person. Cheers, Steve
Beethoven wasn't deaf at this time, although he was begninning to experience some of the early symptoms of the condition which would later lead to his deafness 🎹🎼🎵🎶🎶
Beethoven’s most famous piano sonatas are from his early-mid career, before his deafness had set in. And the piano was his instrument, so he played most of those Sonatas live to Viennese audiences back in the day. And had a reputation for playing loud-with enough force in his fingers to break lower-end pianos of his day.
I've watched her video of this song at least 20 times and I am amazed every time. I love the expression on her face while she is playing; almost like she is bored with the whole thing. I’m in the UK for information and subscribed to your channel several weeks ago & I’m glad I did 😀.
She started with classical music and acoustic guitar when she was 6. She said in an old interview that this was like what a video game is for some people. She just focuses and practices until muscle memory takes over. That's lots of work even with her skill(s). Rumor is she hung it up when she went to college to concentrate on her studies. Also, some say the trolls got to her. When she quit, she wiped her channel. Folks cried so much she brought back some of the clips and that is the way it has been for 4 years now. The "S" stands for Setkic.
I've watched her video dozens of times and each time I'm astounded at the way she plays, at 16 or 17 in this video. And yes I made that same face you made brother when I first watched her play.

Jamal I can't believe you're just now getting to Tina she is a beast you got to check out all her stuff she's a true prodigy 🤘
.....And people wonder why i listen to classical..
sometimes it takes a modern instrument to show you the shoulders you stand on..
Good morning,Jamel! Your site is anything.
She played to the end.👏
The viewpoint is very sharp.
This is a little revolution?!✌️
Might as well check out her playing DragonForce Through the Fire and Flames.
Over the past couple of years I've watched this video at least 50 times and my reaction is still the same as yours!
Ive been trying to tell the world,
CLASSICAL IS METAL AF!!
More accurately - metal is classical AF.
@@ibuprofen303 Thunderstruck by 2Cello's.
@@derekbowbrick6233 How about Slayers Reign in Blood by the North Yorkshire district recorder group?
Jamel, you crack me up.... staring straight ahead when it FINALLY ends... PRICELESS. LOVE your channel, keep em coming. Peace Out
Another vote for Tina S. doing Steve Vai's "For the Love of God". By far my favorite video of hers.
Agree!
Ditto!
Jamel the look on your face was priceless and pretty much summed up what everyone watching this video faces looked like 😅. She looked so relaxed during the entire performance, even though the fretboard looked like a 2×4 in her hands. To all of the current guitar greats. ... it's time to move over, Tina S is here. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
She almost looks board.
For the love of God(originally by Steve Via). Extremely good
She’s good! 😎👍 I only came across your channel a couple of months ago, but I really like your take on music and your style of presentation in your videos. I don’t enjoy absolutely everything you do, but you approach it all with joy, which is so nice to see. I’m in the UK for information and subscribed to your channel several weeks ago & I’m glad I did 😀.
some people play guitar, others can make it talk with their fingers.
Try anything from Tommy Emmanuel - like "Classical Gas" or "Guitar Boogie"
he sure is a legend eh? .. but he practices 6 to 9 hours per day so he stays sharp with his skill and it shows
the smile on her face at the end says EVERY THING WE NEED TO KNOW
She's every bit as good as Yngwie Malmsteen and a fraction of his age. She'll only get even better.
Absolutely brilliant talent, Amazing, Wow...Thanks J. Peace
Jamel, Tina S was 17 years old in this video.
When you realize how little musical talent you truly have!! Thank you
Looks like they should remake “Cross Roads” with her as the protagonist.
I've watched her video dozens of times and each time I'm astounded at the way she plays, at 16 or 17 in this video. And yes I made that same face you made brother when I first watched her play.
