Jake doesn't say a single word that doesn't start with B in the entirety of the last cold open. Even when he cuts off Sarge. That is incredible writing to be honest.
6:37 I love how Andy absolutely couldn't contain his laughter. I bet they just figured it wasn't worth trying to get a take without him laughing and honestly it actually worked pretty well lmao
I love how at 6:45 Rosa is grinning sardonically, Amy jerks her headback in disgust and Jake is just laughing because that's just Charles being Charles, while coping with the disgusting info he just processed.
@Epicthomas 2000 Well, Scully is a pretty sweet and genuine person, just lazy. I think Hitchcock, who is a bit more of a creep would be disgusted but also amused.
I just love how despite always being after Terry, Gina genuinely seems upset that Terry's relationship is "complicated" all of a sudden. There's no hint of "I see an opportunity" there.....Sincere disappointment......And also, she is pretty good at mid morning dance parties.
@@anirudhnavin4568 That's a theory but I really don't think so. Deep down Gina is a good person.......Like when she forces her mother to leave Lynn Boyle (What an amazing name :p) without telling him why because she was repeatedly cheating on him. Even though she admits hating having anything to do with the Boyle family, Charles himself realizes that she wasn't trying to hurt him and his father, but was actually trying to protect them. (I'm not sure that not telling the truth and just breaking up is the right thing to do in real life......but considering how Boyles are, that probably was the best option.) My point is, Gina is a good person and as a strange but pretty clear moral compass.....in other words, she's a rascal :p.
@@Lanwarder no no I'm not disagreeing with you I too truly believe she's good but i also think she's more complicated than that and genuinely was more disappointed that sarge didn't tell her the tea herself than sarge being in a complicated situation with his wife
@@Lanwarder honestly, I grew increasingly more annoyed with Gina by the end of the series. Moments like the one you described just get lost in her overall mean-for-no-reason attitude. I wish the writers gave her more growth in the later seasons, not just reduced her to this insufferable influencer who doesn't really have reasons to be there anymore. I liked her more in the first seasons.
Rosa is honestly one of my favourite detectives of the 9-9. Her smile is just absolutely stunning. And her personality is impeccable. I think she smiles more often than she realises and she is one heck of a friend.
I know the rest of these were all cold opens but I was still really hoping to see Jake winning his bet against Amy in here! Maybe a compilation of break room cold opens?
The fact that the last cold open (aside from Terry) are all words that starts with letter B, great writing. Jake: Bottles! Boyle! Bullpen! (Terry: What are you?...) Jake: Buh, Buh, Buh. Bottles! Anyone else notice that they are all just cold openings. There's been plenty of times where great stuff happens in the bullpen that doesn't occur in a cold open...
This show rocks. I don't have a favorite character, it's all good. Cool race, don't need a skateboard either. Fun scenes I like from comedy central, SNL. I love some shows that have funny moments and some nudity.
I will forever love how Holt goes from "Peralta" to "Jacob" to "Son"

I will forever love how Jake goes from "Santiago" to "Amy" to "Ames"

The fact that Joe Lo Truglio improvised the whole "older woman" bit with a straight face makes you understand how great of an actor he is
true dat
Didn‘t know it was improvised. Now i like this scene even more. But also good acting from the others, that they joined it.

ooooo, it was improvised, that's why Andy's laugh was so genuine lol

The power of alliteration
Yeah, I noticed that
What episode?
6:37 I love how Andy absolutely couldn't contain his laughter. I bet they just figured it wasn't worth trying to get a take without him laughing and honestly it actually worked pretty well lmao
Joe actually improvised that scene so they just kept Andy's natural reaction
Got Stephanie(Detective Rosa) to break character too 😂
If you listen closely he says “joe!-“
Holt's reaction to winning the "why is Amy late" game was a great foreshadowing to his gambling addiction
4:41
boyle's high pitched "stay off the ground" will never fail to crack me up 💀

andy's real laugh at 6:48 is my favourite thing ever
It literally looks unscripted

Jake is laughing that way cos Andy broke character 😂
@@TheDarkbluerock No problem. Sardonic is another word for sarcastic or mocking.

8:30 Stephanie's character break smirk is priceless

That moment when Holt held Jake's hand and raised it up and shouted was honestly one of the best feelings ever, lmao.
Rosa's face was perfect too.
At some point Holt just embraced the madness of the 99 and its hilarious
THE FULL BULL PEN
i love when Holt joins in, like dude is strict af, but dude loves his team
He did everything to protect them even step down.
i just realised at 4:46 hitchcock is holding his gun up for the spider
i get it honestly

this is a year old, but Amy or Rosa? Aim their gun at the rats when the rats break lose.

Anyone notice Rosa dying of laughter at 1:53?
Lol that's amazing, good spot
Thank you
i did, and when i noticed, i replayed that scene many times 💀

same at 4:08
The person who plays Rosa Diaz at 1:54 breaks character when Charles gets hit with the stapler in the background lol
That sounds pretty in character for Rosa.
Her name is Stephanie Beatriz.
Wonder if this was scripted

Did you see Rosa smiling as Jake rambled up a bunch of spider names? 4:10
I like how even Holt got excited for the Full Bullpen because of how legendary it is.
When Amy says "You calling Holt "Daddy"...", Jake is about to lose it.
I always can't help but wonder what the guys on the holding cell think when all these shenanigans are going on by the people that just arrested them
