ABOUT BROOKLYN NINE-NINE
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" follows the exploits of hilarious Det. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and his stoically ever-professional captain, Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher), along with their diverse, lovable colleagues as they police the NYPD's 99th Precinct. In this final season of the series, Jake and the squad must try to balance their personal lives and their professional lives over the course of a very difficult year.
Rounding out the ensemble is Sgt. Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumera), who has a passion for organization and a weakness for dork dancing; Lt. Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), a mountain of a man whose most powerful muscle is his sweetheart; Jake's best friend and human puppy dog, Det. Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio); and the incredibly secretive, tough-as-nails Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz). Also part of the Nine-Nine are veteran officers Det. Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) and Det. Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker), whose only skill as police officers is their ability to make a passable pot of coffee.
Created by Emmy Award-winning writer/producers Dan Goor and Michael Schur, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" won the 2014 Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical (Samberg). Emmy winner Braugher earned four Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Capt. Holt.

I absolutely adore Holt's "Ive never been more shocked." Completely deadpan. Andre Braugher has perfect delivery.
One of the very first episodes showed him on the phone saying "That is without doubt the funniest thing I've ever heard" in his usual monotone delivery, I think that one and the scene where Boyle runs over his foot with his medical scooter and Holt says "You ran over my foot. I am in incredible pain." same delivery, are the ones that make me laugh the hardest every single time, and by now I must have rewatched all the episodes a good dozen times if not more

@@MiyanoShuumei I know what you mean, but I think it just happens when he's in extreme situations-bluffing at cards, or being caught by surprise and threatened by an old friend. Like the way the polygraph doesn't detect lies, it detects stress.

@beggingbugger just took the office forward, I don't think Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant would agree he deserves all the credit for that one!
Hard to say who deserves credit for that line. They would act out the scenes as the writer/s wrote them, but then the director would reshoot the scenes when someone had a “funnier” line to add. You wouldn’t know which is funnier because funny is a relative term, but it’s possible than one of the actors came up with that line.

@@vexxamai googled it 😂 there’s 411 calories in 100g of fudge. So a single calorie of fudge is about 0.25g or 1/4 of a gram. Very very tiny 😢😢

When Holt asked Boyle to teach him how to cook for Kevin, he did say that he doesn't care about food and "if it were possible, my entire diet would only consist of flavourless beige smoothies", but he really appreciate the stationary supplies, so he's right when he says "that man really knows me", he just doesn't know that the man in question is Jake, who knows him better than his own husband! It's so wholesome 🥲

About 200 times S1-7 Season 8 didn't do it for me for some reason
Saw almost all the seasons like 10 times now, except the last one, they got really woke and boring in some of the chapters.
I love hw Kevin never once questioned them and immediately played along no questions

"EAT THE NOTE!" makes me laugh every single time, and I've rewatched every episode so much so that I remember very well ALL of these, and it still makes me laugh!

Can I just say that the addition of Pimento was spectacularly brilliant. Someone needs to dig into that decision because it could've gone horribly wrong but instead absolutely redefined the zeitgeist and tee'd up the following seasons,. Genius, talent, and amazing casting!

The closest I got to “forgetting” a cold open was the “pity Holt cold case”, and even then I remembered it for those details.
The "Daniel Craig hands + closeup" is less weird than you think. In the bond film "Skyfall" There was a scene where bond had to be barehanded but was shot with him wearing gloves, so in the scene his hands look al bulgy cause they had to digitally paint over thick leather gloves with Craigs hands.

@@lucifermorningstar8098 Personally I think it's awesome for the first 4 seasons, then dips a little for the next 3 (but still really good). And I never made it past the first 10 minutes of season 8.
