Guys I don’t think you two have ever visited India. Your knowledge comes from Twitter. Of course there are stray incidents of Hindu Muslim riots which should get reported,but we get along very well with each other, stay in the same colonies, friends eat the same food from each other’s plates, celebrate each other’s festivals and work in companies owned by people who follow their own religion.

It is best for Pakistan to forget about India and the problem of Indian Muslims. This is because those problems are internal to India and Indian state will take care of the problems. Pakistan should worry about its problems. If Pakistan concentrates on solving its problems for say 15 years then I can see situation for peace talks.

You should listen to the full podcast then. These two and a few people from Pakistan including Syed Muzammil etc talk about their minorities and they do care. They have clearly mentioned what Pakistan did in the past was wrong and they are suffering due to that while India has started doing it now and there is nothing good that will come out of this

For the record, let me say that visa free travel was the norm between India and Pakistan till 1965.
As for religious tolerance, my school classmates in Karachi were Budhists, Christians, Jews, Muslims and Parsis. We were all friends and friendships continue to the present day.
Mindblowing to know Shehzad balanced 7 jobs at one time to survive, and all respect for him. Admiration that Shehzad talks about issues such as therapy and depression, and wonderful to know that his talk positively helped some listeners.
Geo political situation from 70s put a heavy toll on our nation, and we are still trying to sort things out.
But with sincere, analytical well read youngsters like Shehzad, Syed Muzammil, Jibran Nasir out there, i may not be around, but I'm very bullish about a better future for Pakistan. Daniyal, this is the first podcast i watched of yours. I have been watching Abrar Hassan's biking vlog for many years. He was suggested to me by UA-cam when i was searching for a motorbike.
50 years ago i tried coming back from England on a Triumph 650 bike, but failed miserably. I'm a great admirer of Abrar and live out that travel dream through Abrar's Wild Lens.

Whenever I have listened to this man and Muzammil Shah it certainly has ignited a spark in me to atleast have this sense of what is right n what is wrong and to work towards a more equitable and inclusive society. 47:35 I grew up in a society filled with Hindus, Sikhs, Christians and Muslims. Not a single problem since my parents moved here 5 years before my birth. I didn't know who a Muslim or Sikh was until I was 13. The memory of coexistence is still lived by us everyday. It's far from it's last breath.
The thing about India is, India always gives a very wide berth for radical ideas. The tolerance level of people is very high. But Indians are also good at discarding ideas and governments that threaten their comfort and social fabric. In my area, everyone voted for BJP, including Sikhs and Christians, because we don't have to worry about communalism at our level. We can simply watch the massive infra boost without worrying about communal politics. The day BJP deviates from it's core (infra boost), we will change sides to the one that is closer to our needs. When a society can deal with a far-right wing group without worrying about the influence it might have on the social fabric, that society is a strongly connected healthy unit that can focus on a better life for themselves.
My state is Odisha. Odisha has millions of such societies. India can learn a lot from Odisha. Apart from two incidents, Odisha never had communalism. Ha yeh alag baat hai ki we are too lazy to do communalism.

RSS has also changed their track regarding the anti-muslim propaganda since more than a year now, of course they had to, economic growth is inversely proportional to violence in a country. Muslims are an integral part of all our "celeb" domains, be it cricket, bollywood etc. Muslim politicians win elections, muslims exist in great numbers in our armed forces. this is one of the best podcasts I have watched. Shehzad's views and the way he expresses it is really admirable. He never hesitates on raising his voice for the marginalised and speaking on controversial matters. Daniyal also comes across as an intellectual guy. And to see 02 young men speak about these issues is really heartening..

There is a fundamental disconnect between what is being discussed and what the ground reality is. India is not concerned about Shezad coming to India and Tanmay going to Pakistan. The problem is state sponsored cross border terror. For Indians the pain points are Hafeez Saeed and other fanatics that attack India. Bangladesh does not sponsor terror against India and hence the good ties between India and Bangladesh.

I vote for Modi and absolutely think Indian muslims are an indispensable part of Indian fabric- Like Christians and Jews.. . So much of my Vaishnava spirituality is influenced by sufism. The people who hate are very, very few and they do end up loosing elections. The thing India's is more scared of pak's terrorism after so many incidents rather than ego issue. You can interview Dr.Ishtiaq Ahmed how he met so many people in India from across the political spectrum from RSS to lutiyans. He would tell you it's not ego issue it's fear. I know many pak are proud of that Indians fear from pak. 😅😅but that's what keeping India pak apart to build any diplomatic relationship.

With all due respect i think you forgot to take into conideration our perspective. We Indians kept voting for "Secular" Congress for more than 50 year . I am 36 and i too was very secular in my youth but i saw the actions of mulims minority their thoughts about Hindus and i thought it seemsas if the Hindus are a minority. The hatred against Hindu was so open , they support palestine and hate israel when Israel is the one that supports india. I am an atheist since i was a child but when i finally decided to read Quraan to see what the fuss was about i found out that Islam is not a religion but a cult and is inherently against Co existance with other religion. Muslims need to follow Indian values of coexistance and become Hindu( by culture even if not by religion).

Her jeering continued for several weeks. Then one day I found my voice and told her I am going to report her. She stopped. That and several such jabs hurt me, and I am still trying to undo the harm! In my 60s. Kindness is universally the best attitude.

Those who become CEOs are top cream and grade from the south indian ethnic groups. They speak English much better than 99.99% Pakistanis. Maybe lower middle class and lower class south Indians speak with an accent but most professional ones speak very chastely.

This is 2023, I live in a top metro city in a hindu dominated area in India. I've been threatened openly in front of a big crowd by muslims, not once but thrice by 3 different muslims in 3 separate situations. In every situation they have behaved rudely and tried to bully me even when I kept my cool. I always ask myself "BJP ke hote hue yeh logon ko itni himmat kahan se aati hai?".
My observation about muslims
1. They are mono-theists. So they blatantly reject others beliefs even if others are in majority. They think their teachings are right and they don't feel the need to question it. Instead, they want to unapologetically push their religion upon others.
2. They feel protected and empowered because of Ummah aka Muslim Brotherhood. I've seen this first-hand, I honestly didn't know about it till I saw. Even in non-muslim dominated areas if you have a conflict with a muslim, suddenly 3-5 muslim will come out of nowhere and support that muslim. You will feel singled out in that tense situation, whereas not a single hindu will come to your side to help you out. We don't have that ummah culture.
3. They enter politics and climb up the ladder to protect their muslim brethren and pledge support to left wing parties. It's a quid-pro-quo for the parties and muslims. For example: Atiq Ahmed, dreaded gangster (more than 100 recorded cases) was 5 time MLA & MP. Mukhtar Ansari (5 time MLA)... there are millions of muslims into politics winning seats irrespective of religion demography off their area. Not all are bad but getting into politics safeguards their interests of doing gundagiri even in BJP rule. They openly threaten people knowing ki koi unka kuch ukhaad nahi sakhta, also they assume that hindus are darpok, agar daraoge to yeh log asani se darr jayenge. If you're still worried about muslim rights in India, hats off man. By the way, can you name one Hindu gangster-turned-politician in Pakistan?
4. Muslims don't know how to talk politely during an altercation. They have these evil teachings given to them when they were young. They've been taught to hate hindus and I dont know why. Hume kisine nahi sikhaya yeh sab bachpan mein. During childhood they don't appear hateful but as they grow older they act like bruts and discriminatory towards non-muslims especially hindus. They don't trust us and are always trying to dominate us. In fact, hindus themselves sometimes hire muslim goons to do their dirty work. Imagine that's the kind of reputation they've earned for themselves.
Despite all the bullshit that I've gone through, I still believe that we need to co-exist peacefully because at the end of the day our country matters. Not all muslims are bad, I have plenty kind-hearted muslim friends who've helped me in need. I wish them well. But this umaah culture is what bothers me. It scares me because I cant negotiate with devils when they have the free-hand support of Umaah.

Co-existence is depleting in India day by Day . We already had Hindu Mohalla , Muslim Mohalle since 1947 but the Hatred wasn't this big. Now many Hindus openly abuse Muslims and use slurs against them especially on Social Media . This is especially true for U.P , Bihar , Rajasthan, Haryana , MP ! South Indian states are still less on this Trend but it is spreading like a wildfire . I just hope it doesn't ruin the Dream of India. Being Secular is somehow a bad thing now .
