Looks like this was filmed in the old Center Line, Michigan training center. They had a studio set up in the basement of the building. The building itself was a Chrysler Defense facility during WW2, designed by Albert Kahn. I worked in that building for 15 years for Mopar Service & Parts.
Moral of story nobody knows how people really drive cars out here in the real world except most people somewhat abuse cars so use the best quality oil and change it often. As my dad used to say "oil is cheap and replacement engines are expensive". A side benefit is cars with relatively clean oil have lower friction and get better gas mileage.
I was in an automotive class when the teacher said "Chemicals are cheap, cars are not." He said that when he asked us about when we all replaced our antifreeze. I said that I wasn't worried because my car was 3 years old, and the manual said I have 5 year coolant. He asked if I drove in the ideal condition. I said no, and he explained that changing more often than the manual says is important.
It's necessary because these were not originally videos, these were slideshows- you would get an actual vinyl record for the audio, and a set of slides for the visuals. That beep was let you know to change to the next slide.

It'd be great to spend the evening with Tech at a local bar and listen to his stories. Stories of Booze, Broads....and Regrets.
