Madness? Yes! In one month of my first Scx24, I bought 3 more. I used to live in a little town called Mira Loma. Now I so wish I still did… I’m up in Landers now, on 2 1/2 acres. I only have a small course so far. 1 ton. lol. You have a great style, and your passion is over the top!! Congratulations!!! Big milestone

If by some miracle I ever got the chance to visit USA there are two places I would want to spend time at, one made by nature and one man made. The Grand Canyon and Crawler Canyon. Getting across the Big Pond is impossible for me so I have about 5 tons of crushed stone/brick from demolition of some houses in the village and a growing collection of rocks from around my local area slowly becoming my own crawler course at the back of my house. Almost every time I take the 1:10 defender pickup out it comes back with a rock or two on the bed, I carry the batteries and spares, the truck carries the rocks. I also have many fun crawling spots within walking / RC trailing distance as Scotland is kinda lumpy with many old mining sites within range of a battery or two when the weather is decent. Keep On Buildin' Sir, so many cool courses in one place is pretty amazing. Above all, Have Fun !

I'm over in the UK unfortunately, we have something similar but not as good called river side rc crawlers and bashes not bad but 10 minutes and you're done, your place though dude i could spend all day probably destroying my rigs but mending them is part of the fun.

that middle section keep it and make a track with a few dips and jumps for those rigs you can rip around a little. save some work, water, and other resources for rigs you already have.

I blame YOU for my crawler addiction. I bought the fridge foams today you mentioned in the live stream, along with another $31 set of beadlocks for my TRX-4 Defender from Amazon. I live on the East Coast mostly wooded trails with a few rocks. I wish I could build a course like yours. Thanks for the tour.

You need a 2nd thermometer that reads in Celcius for us foreigners!
I have been on the hunt for a thermometer that has the trifecta: Temp in F and C, and humidity. I can only find two out of three.
@CrawlerCanyon you can get digital ones that read all 3, but it wouldn't seem appropriate alongside the much nicer one you have!

Dam it. Build a dam all the way around the 10,000-ish sq ft, and flood it to 6-12" deep with water, and you'll have a helluva Tugboat Course!

Crazy… so are all the areas labeled or have some sort of grading system or difficulty rating posted? Seems possible to make a crawling track/path for all levels

I love how you completely avoided the question about how you afford everything. Of course how you earn an income is none of our damn business....but it would be interesting to hear how you budget for your hobby. I dabbled in a bit of Forex bot trading which went well for hobby money until it didn't one day! I keep telling myself to just set aside a manageable amount every month but still find myself just buying bits on impulse as and when.
How I avoid everything? I thought it was pretty self-explantory: I do this. The wife said, some years ago, "this thing needs to pay for itself." So what you see is the result of just putting in full days, seven days a week. I do this. I don't budget for the hobby, because I have no control over how much I make in a given month. Hobby money is hobby money. UA-cam is the snake eating it's own tail. I got "paid" ten days ago, and I'm basically broke until I get paid again in 3 weeks. That's how it goes.

Basically all evidence of it's construction lost to the sands of time, gone with the Ultimate RC forums. I built a mid-motor 2WD based around a Slash gearbox, with a 15" wheelbase to fit an Associated SC8 body. It was a blast. It now resides in that case, because pretty mush all of the vehicles I built it out of are long discontinued.
Oh ya, you've mentioned that one a few times. The build was posted on the ultimate rc forum which is now long gone. The extra size really suits short course bashers, easier running over crappier surfaces. I have something half built right now (kindof stalled out) that is about 15in wb and uses two slash gearboxes in a 4wd setup. The parts for that came from a couple traxxas stampede so I was going to call it the 'Stwopede' haha

Like... making enough that I don't spend every dime and then some back on toy cars and to car related shenanigans? I have no idea. I can tell you that at 10k, it's not self-sustaining without sizable member contribution. At least not in the vein of having enough material to generate daily content.
