Hey Folks! I really hope you enjoy the warm-up 😁 Ive created a FREE downloadable version you can save to you phone. Just in case you didn’t have access to the internet. Oh and I’ve added a couple of extra exercises too 💪🏽 - Download it here for FREE ➡️ www.footballfolk.com/free-sessions/pro-warm-up
Awesome vid, lots of familiar stuff but it really builds up nicely in a coherent way. Probably will need to check my notes a lot to remember all this stuff haha
Dynamic stretching is the way to go, forward and sideways leg swings have been the way to go for me for a good while now, usually warms me up enough to go for a run, for more laps to start kicking a ball.
I have been doing a shorter, less thorough 5 min version of this for a year or so now and it has massively reduced the frequency of niggles/injuries. Look after yourselves!
Hey Tony, Excellent to find your channel, very good content. I love the 10min Amateur Warm-Up, I am 56 years old and still trying to play at a high level.......My only feedback is to incorporate more backwards movements especially how important being dynamic backwards is for our human body, especially related to -Knee Health- keep up the great work!
Great tip, I was looking for something like this, I usually time my warm up between 10 and 15 minutes but I wanted to incorporate different routines such as the sit ups, the karaoke, lawn bowls and the like. Same as the other guys, the few times I didn't warm up and stretched properly, I ended with a pulled muscle or some micro tear so it is crucial we don't skip this step.
Love this!! One of my favourite striking techniques. I’ll try and break it down in a future video, but essentially reading the spin on the ball is crucial. If you’re right footed and the ball is coming from your left, the driven shot, and side foot passing shot is the most consistent. From the right side, the best for me is to wrap my foot around it, but be aware not to lean back. That goes for all of these techniques. Head and torso forwards :) Lasty, if these are too difficult, then I would always recommend taking a touch to set yourself 👍
@@thefootballfolkAlso interesting thing I saw from All or Nothing Man City documentary, Arteta improved Sterlings finishing of cutbacks and low driven crosses by telling him stop waiting for the ball, instead attack it. Thought its very important advice, most players wait for the ball to come to them rather than attacking it.
Really enjoyed the video, just subbed! can you maybe do a video with the best exercisers to do in the gym to benefit football players? Both upper and lower body 😄
Useful video as always👍, could you maybe do a video on how to shoot properly, I know there's plenty of other videos on how to do it but I feel like you'd explain it the best.
So question: Do you still stretch after a warm up like this? I’ve been struggling with a tight quad getting back into 6v6 and it’s been frustrating not being able to even bring the leg all the way back.
new suscriber :) the first video that i saw from you i thought that you had at least 1 million subscribers and now i realised thats not the case i hope everyhting goes good for you :D
I think the most common cause for injury is, DUDES SHOW UP HELLA LATE!! LAMO...I already lost count of the times I broke "The 10 Commandments of Pick Up Games"!! Thank God for forgiving me the sinner I never ever ended up in the ER!! 😀
Feel disgusted in admitting im joining you from the toilet seat with an hour before I play footy. Nevertheless, thanks for the workout routine will give it a go in about 8 mins😅
I have hyper mobility and something which I can’t remember the name I get a mini injury every game cos my team don’t warm up properly thank you so much sorry if bad English I’m from Iceland 😅
I came in late to the race getting completely absorbed in playing football at the age of 28, as for some reason I just stopped at 14. In the meantime I've done other sports casually on and off, including martial arts. But I have to say I'm simply astonished at how especially atrocious all footballers in particular, apart from the ones at the highest level, are when it comes to doing these simple yet highly effective and preemptive exercises and stretches. I'm amazed I don't see way more pulled muscle injuries of all sorts in my practices and when watching other people get about their bizz. Volley exercises for instance? Forget it. Most are so aware and weary of their own limitations and tenseness that they always struggle to get over the ball properly, also resulting in a hella lot of running across the street to fetch home-run balls, lol 😀It's clear to me that everyone's performance would be WAY better if they just took that little bit of time to get a little warm in directed ways and even stretch a bit before going about it. I always stretch for a good 10-15 minutes after every practice and workout too, and it's just an amazing feeling over time how much more comfortable your body is reaching for those balls that others won't even bother reaching for. Great content. Peace out!
Iam like a special species. I cannot warm-up at all, if I do, ill tear something mid training or ingame. Ive tried it many many times over. I just need to go straight to action to function well. Weird...
@@alqpwoeiz_mxncb nice!! Feel free to repeat some of the exercises too. Just feel what your bodies calling for 😁 Did you do a training session after the warm up?
This is really great for young players like me who get injured constantly because of not having good warm up and stretching. Thanks a LOT ⚽️
You’re so welcome!! Always remember to warm up 👍😁
@@thefootballfolk Yo coach do you have a group like other football content creators to helo and answer other rookie footballers?

I alway have a muscle strain at the end of the season in an intense match due to lack of proper warmup. I think this will be a helpful tip for me❤

Carioca. Karaoke is a form of entertainment in which people take turns to sing popular songs into a microphone over prerecorded backing tracks.
I loosely followed this before a practice session and it works great
Used it again; gonna make it a regular for my routine feel great after all around
So glad to hear 🧡🧡🧡

I’ve noticed I play a lot better when I warm opposed to just kicking the ball straight out the gate. Whole body just gets unlocked.
🧡🧡🧡
1:07 you sound like those visualization commentators lol
Is it good to do this warm up and dynamic stretches ?
What I do is stretch then plyometrics and then ball mastery and fast feet and shooting and that it
I will add some stretching to my waist and hip
Nice work! We use our hips a lot so that’s a good move 👍👍👍
Stretching the hips has been a game changer to increase my mobility and recover between matches.
