Made this with my granddaughter. She was munching on some raisins and modified your recipe by making a smiley face in the middle of the sun's face. It was cute.
We always make sun tarts in France when people show up.
So fast and so pretty and cheap, too.
This guy is so kitchen I can't.
Way to go my brother in arms. I will try this soon.
Seeing this beautiful festive Sun tart made by you nowadays, moved me to tears. My heart, feelings and thoughts are with France and the French nation. Indeed may the Sun shine with all its glory on the horizon of this beloved country and people. Love your spirit. Thank you. May the coming Bastille day celebrated in France peacefully and joyfully. God bless you and all of yours, and keep you all safe 🙌
I'm thinking of the French people as well.
Goodness sakes-yum!
A few centimeters on the edge... Let s call it an inch 😂 Best regards from France 😉🇫🇷😂
Oh, you French. You always have to show your contrariness. :-)
@@WastrelWaywell, in order to provide an exception or a counter example to what you write, I do agree with you 😂 😉 Thanks for the post and take care!
A must with tapenade 😁
Love hearing you talk with your mouth full. Thanks for the beautiful demo and recipe. Cheers
Only a handful of ingredients, and look at that magnificent presentation. Okay, making this. Thank you, chef!
it’s easy and fun to do 🙂
Oh Ho!! This recipe has many possibilities! A very simple but complicated looking dish. A definite must try! Thanks for sharing, my friend! 🤌👌👍
Thank you Chef. A really fun and very easy way to upgrade your party appetizers. I would probably add some dijon to your recipe but otherwise this is perfect. Taking your idea of making it a dessert item... this could be a twist on a cinnamon roll with pecans, brown sugar, cinnamon & cardamon. Appreciate the time you have invested to share this with us.
thanks and yes make it yours 🙂
Magnifique!
"Operation sun complete" love it. On my list to make this summer.
Cuisine simple et délicieuse comme à la maison 🏠 miam 😋
OMG looks so yummy 😋
How cool! I need to make this!
Wow, what a tasty-looking tart! Thank you so much again for this lesson. 😊❤🎉
Julia Child has a recipe for Pithivieres (an almond tart which is delectable!) It's good to see how the same method can be used to make something that's savoury and equally delicious! I am fascinated by the way that the same methods in French cooking can have such varied results depending on the ingredients. Thanks, Stephane, for your excellent videos!
It was fantastic, Merci chez Stephan
Delicious 😋
Beautiful and what a fun idea! I'm off to think through a variety of fillings.
Beautiful
Thank you.
Have a good day
집에서 만들어 먹어봐야겠어요
Very yummy ❤
Old Beemster cheese! A delicious choice for this outstanding sun tart!
Looks beautiful and I'm sure it tastes wonderful. A duxelles would be great in that also!
Stephane! This so clever. Perfect for summer. I'd love to make this with apples or maybe blueberries. I love the savory version you made too. Pair that up with an arugula salad.......and wine! Thank you!
savoury gives plenty of option
Merci beaucoup ❤
Thanks!
wow thanks so much
Oh my the possibilities!!!!
Could maybe put some almond paste . Delicious.thank you .easy as well as quick.
Nice Very good Idea la Tarte du Soleil.

I was thinking of a sweet version of cream, cherries and almonds, yum.
Very French. it looks like the famous Oriflamme; the sacred battle standard of the King of France in the Middle Ages.
I have seen similar using a triangular shape with a filling of Nutella as a Christmas tree.
Could you make the tartiflette please?
Sounds like Stephen was in the wine cellar before shooting this video😂❤
How about a "galette des rois" ?!
When is the book coming out please?
Ah, The Sun Tart! Ah, the memories! I met her on a beach in St Tropez. But of course, who didn't? She had a lovely tan, but it wasn't until I returned home that... wait... Never mind.
Is the cream you use crème fraîche? I've never seen cream that thick in the US.
The printable recipe is from Red wine onion confit tart.
oops
ok should fixed now
I cant find cream that is rich and thick like you use. Here in USA it is all a liquid even the heavy whipping... How and where do you get this wonderful spooning cream?
Can you try the sweet version of this tart?
I think with pistou it will be delicious le tarte solee i think is the name from which region of France it is?
Chef how can I buy and get your book I'm living in Uganda.
Make it spin.
😂
Come in Romania and the lady will teach you to make perfect this tarte. Hahaha
I am wondering how long a student has to complete a course. Does anyone know?
What do you mean by cream? Whipped cream?
Looked like clotted cream to me, definitely not whipped cream. Perhaps sour cream mixed with creme fraiche?
How can i make it provencal way maybe by adding tomatoes?
Sun dried tomatoes would be yummy
Is that cream or creme fraiche?
Looks good (great presentation to be honest), but do much decorative work for me. I'd just cook it up like a medfouna/tabadirt.
Жизнь слишком быстро заканчивается, а дальше вечность и куда потом?
grab a ray of sun tart and don't worry, be happy!

@@XRISTIANIN.496sez who?
Thank you for your great idea. I like to make it with eggplant, onion and garlic and tomato sauce. Middle eastern version but looks great and I am sure tastes great too. Thank you chef.
Some pineapple would have been more tasty.
Your tart look very burned. Hahaha
WhWhat...did you come across your'e mum's 60's cook book...
I,gotta admit...I gave this a thumbs down.
I'm not convinced this is an original "French" recipe as I have seen these types of decorative tarts made in many countries, for my entire life, and long before. In any case, this type of tart is very popular and as stated in the video, the choice of filling ingredients is left to the cook. I always use two rectangular puff pastry dough sheets and fill them in between with various ingredients, but I simply cut them into strips and twist the strips, as it is easier, much faster, and I'm not trying to impress anyone. I'm going for savory and quick! 😁 The solar look is nice, though.
I'd love to hear your cover of "Black Hole Sun" au Bal-musette🌻🪗
It's reminiscent of Feuillette Savonyard. pastry
