Have a TP40. First year using it but it was used by previous owner. The draft fan is pretty noisy thinking of getting a new ine. The adjustment round door has fallen off and broke. The Rivet. How can I fix this?

I have a question for you, please. I have a TP440 that belonged to my dad. It was never put into use. Can you all tell me what the fire pot looks like? Is this the thing in the front of the stove that is removed with the two bolts. It doesn't look like a conventional fire pot to me. Jay

    question for you
i have a earth stove tp440 that the previous owner left in the garage when i bought my house. everything works, but is missing a part on the back bottom left side. there are 4 screws and its 5 3/4 inch x 5 3/4 inch square then in the center of that there is a 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 inch opening where the smoke comes from. what goes there? im trying to get it set up and this is holding me up.
    thanks in advance
    Jayson E.

That's just a clean out door. Facing the stove it would be back bottom right.Just take out the 10millimeter screw inside the burn area and take the tower out to clean it . Leave the back panel alone.

If it's not that then it must be a fresh air intake that smokes when you start it up. Manually of course . Just a guess but that stove must be ancient. They sold to Lennox in 1999.

there's an exhaust out port there if your install doesn't have the stovepipe that goes up through the roof. this allows you to connect to exhaust pie to go out through wall
