Would love a colab of scrapman and matt
Yes, a definite yes
Love it
Bro i freaked out when he mentioned scrapman
Yuizie
Yea
Matt: has played Trailmakers for years.
Also Matt: only recently discovered hinges.
Lol
"Flies like an absolute dream." Seems that RCE took some marketing courses.
I love seeing Matt play trailmakers
yes
He’s so bad lol😂
I actually clicked on this video thinking it was one of scrapmans videos 😂 never thought to see RCE playing this game!
Me too!
Multiplayer Monday Hide and Seek with RealCivilEngineer, ScrapMan, Moonbo, and kAN(aka another engineer)! That would be amazing!!!
Trailmakers are back so maybe it's time for Matt to try Scrap Mechanic as well and engineer some creations
yes
Now make an aircraft using the strongest shape
Wedges
SR-71 would be my recommendation.
Why not the most efficient one?
We need a collab with scrapman i didn’t know y’all know each other
You should do a collab with ScrapMan. Engeneer vs non engeneer
Matt, Trailmakers has some interesting physics and mechanics.
Something that you could use is the difference between aerodynamics and the weird, secondary aerodynamics of wings, helicopter blades, and paddles. Their weird floaty-Ness/extra drag compared to a part JUST as flat is separate from the aerodynamics shown with the arrows. Therefor, to fly with just an up and down motion on a wing, a 4x4 wedge could go on top of a modular wing, and since it's more aerodynamic on the top, simple flapping will cause anything to go up. You can use some OR logic gates to create a looping flap.
I used this to create a realistic mosquito. It's called Asian tiger mosquito on the steam workshop, maybe check it out to get some ideas... or steal the logic gates, because it was confusing for me to make. It's great potential for a stupid build.
Just a little thanks for all the effort you put into your videos and how much your pushing out. Please don’t burn yourself out 😊
Thanks, I won't don't worry!
You’d probably get on better with controllable rudders on all of your planes. That last one might be better to fly if the wings were angled further back.
He'd get on better if he found out the difference between an aleron and an elevator
For the helicopter blades/motors, you want the blade orientation and motor direction opposite each other. Then the spin of the blades will cancel out, but the thrust from both will be in the same direction.
Hahah Matt is such a cargo cult helicopter engineer!
Matt, your D and A joke at 14:53 was awesome. Made my day
I’m very happy with myself as about 3 days after airborne update came out I made a ring wing and it works better that Matt’s both before and after modifications!
Collaboration is what is missing from most channels.
The props have to be titled to generate life - I was killing myself on your first plane with you not knowing that 😂😂
Do more timberborners it was such a great series!
When you are making aircraft, I recommend you turn on forces it can be turned on in the advanced area
I have watched every single one of your videos for the past eight months or more. I don’t know I love your videos that you post every day.
I play trailmakers a lot so I love to see videos like this.
without the tailfins for the last plane you basically had a car with 4 wheel steering, but all the wheels turned the same way. so you just end up going sideways, or in this case you got some extra lift without any pitch
matt making the seat 'more aerodynamic' hurts my soul
Always loved ur chanel but i was addicted with scrapman and his trailmakers vids, knowing u guys know each other(from what i understand) is the BEST
Love seeing you play Trailmakers and am really enjoying seeing you play the new campaign on Twitch. Hope you will continue it!!
I love your trailmakers content.
I love your content.
I love you.
You love him 🤨
What way😶😶😶😶
@@rumlejensen2686 does it matter? lol
@@JoshuaRoch its a joke chill
When you are an Italian pilot and need an idea to make reasonable to others your choice of having a plane built around a giant propeller so you name it "Meant for squeeze Billy Goats inside him".
Time to fly over to that like button 🛫👍
Nice
WAKE UP THEY HIT THE LIKE BUTTON
Time to fly to that tall building 🛫🏢👍
@@Tacojohns123those tall buildings*
@@cosmo8412 not anymore
Amazing stuff mr. Real Aeronautical Engineer!
Thanks for the content!
At 13:14 I believe was the time he says how you can’t have multiple controls on one block now correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure that you can use maybe an OR logic gate to give multiple controls
I BUILT THE RINGWING IN THE VIDEO. Im pretty excited to see my creation in a video that will bee seen by thousands of people
Tip: Using distance sensors on 0 distance with "Inverted Trigger" enabled will automatically enable anything it is connected to, stopping the requirement of pressing a button before going.
I love it when he does these type of videos
Nice to see the editor and rce worked things *ouy* 😋
heli motor needs a opposite direction one. so essentially you would have 2 motor going opposite to each other to counter the rotation it causes. this being the easiest way to do it, but there are other ways to counter the gyroscopic effect.
The connection between RCE and KAN/Dapper/Kosmo is only one person out lmao - that's crazy
The engineers favourite game trail maker
i need the Scrap mechanic trio to do a collab with this man
As a guy that likes planes, i appriciate this video more then you can imagine
I love watching Matt struggle with principles that every aerospace engineer understands
We need to see a matt and scrapman collab for sure
Today on Trail Makers, Matt discovers angular momentum.
I love your Trail Maker Videos
Hahaha yeah, we’re here screaming at the screen. I love you Matt, but you are an absolute aerospace architect!
Finally another trail makers video, I missed this game. Also I would love some more kerbal videos.
Make a parachute it would be quite the challenge i think
newtons laws of motion would have given you such a boost at the start. also a little research into how helicopters work would also help
The heliplane or helijet. Man I'd love to see that in action.
14:28 jokes on you shmichael, you misspelled "out"
The front controls on the ring-wing cannot lift the plane by deflecting upward. Front deflection will be the opposite of rear deflection and this is why standard flaps create lift by deflecting downward on the front wing. Aircraft with front and rear wings work like a seesaw.
Even if the front wing flap directions were swapped, however, the plane would not be easily controllable without the rear wing/flaps. Up and down controls need to either be ahead of or behind the main lifting surface to apply leverage. Leading control surfaces create unstable flight, however, which is why the vast majority of aircraft have them behind the main lifting point.
Even though I've read a number of books about the topic, it's always remained odd to me that the Wright brothers were inspired by birds when designing their airplane, but still decided to put the tail in the front and the engines in the back.
Right on time.
Learned so much from this
matt discovered counter torque
Love this build!
I love ur vids rce and ur vids are very nice
7:21 You can select all the same parts when you hold ctrl and double click.
Poggers. Love when a new video drops!
multiplayer monday with matto and scrapman
Day 260:Dear Matt,
I have a very good video idea
Gather all your editors and make them all have 3 chances to make the cheapest, best and most efficient bridge, or the best score on any motorway game(e.g AQR, that one train game, ect...), or who make the longest and most efficient shapes. And see who is the best editor and is worthy of the rank of a classified engineering. From me.
You should try to recreate some of the early attempts at powered flight - the ones in the old black and white footage of all the failures
pretty sure the first plane you made has already been made and if you watch all the builds ppl made in the main menu you will find it.
When he actually puts the heli blades the wrong way, they dont have a direction to spin in, but they have different side for up/down force
It'll be really cool to see you play scrap mechanic!!! Btw I'm a big fan for a long time... Keep up the good work 💪
trailmakers' aerodynamic model gets real wacky when you have that many wing pieces, as observed with the toilet seat basically hovering when the propeller is turned off. also the difficulty in controlling that is probably down to the rotational torque the single propeller applies to the rest of the vehicle; adding a second propeller rotating the other way would probably resolve it.
On your last plane, the beans are above the frank. The sack needs to be below the shaft, otherwise it creates a torque that pushes the head down.
😳
This is why I thought this was an older scrapman video
in 13:18 you could use logic (for example an or gate) to give extra controls
Do I hear Scrapman announcing a "Multiplayer Monday" with special guest RCE?! 😁😁😁😁😁
As a Real Aerospace Engineer in training, I approve of this video
MASSIVE SHOUTOUT to my mate aussie who watches these everyday and got such a bad haircut he cant leave the house
I wonder what would happen if the wing segments at the tips on the monoplane were backwards, so they had forward lift when in circle mode.
add an altitude sensor and set it to the lowest setting (so it's always on) and connect it to the steering hinges. then you dont need to press any buttons to activate the curvature.
i KNEW it i knew scrapman was involved in that barrel design
lets goooooooo TRAILMAKERS FINALLY DO MORE
You should do some Trailmakers videos with ScrapMan, that would be a dream! 🤩👌🏻
The strength of the UK military has always been the Navy and Matt is doing his best to make sure the UK Space Agency is also the best on (or under) the water.
Always a good day
YEAH SCRAPMAN OMG I LOVE IT 0:16
That's not flying, that was falling in style!
He should play trailmakers more
Please more trailmakers, also wondering if you would make another flooded video
Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose, perhaps? Hughes H-4 Hercules
i love this!
Matt is a naval architect and architect or an engineer?
He’s chief naval engineer!
Dont say the a- word near matt
@@yanosiq2 no a-words only engineer
Matt, the front propeller is facing forward but to make it symmetrical, the back ones need to be flipped also dont they?
Bro has best vids ever now dropping a supply of likes
This game is so amazing
the sec one would look cool with guns
good vid
his assumptions about helicopters are hilarious XD
Peopel all ready did this
plane was tilting to the side due to the angular momentum. thats why whe you had two i opposite directions it didnt tilt, just moved back.
Just need to move the center of thrust on the last plane to be in line with the center of mass.
Trailmakers, yesssssss
matt, is the aerodynamics section theres rounded parts, and the opposite of a rounded wedge, which if there both conbined you could make a circle
Edit: altho using round parts would make you an architect otherwise, theres no plane architects, so you litteraly cannot be an architect when building anything to do with aviation.
another edit: im talking about the first plane.
I suggest you to try playing Winter Resort Simulator Season 2, you will see a lot of ropeway and ski station engineering in it 😆
I love trailmakers
Pleas More!
I just built one one of these
