Hello Protog, Got freeze mode to work. Perhaps this will help someone else: (Please keep in mind I have the Orlit RT 610 US version of Jinbei HD 610) Set strobe to manual mode Set sync to (FRE) Freeze (only works from 4.0 - 9.0 without strobe changing sync to (NOR) Set trigger my case TR611 C to HSS Power range: 4.0 - 9.0 5 stops covered here as compared to Profoto B1 7.0 - 10.0 3 stops Nice alternative. Note: After several tests on my older 5D MKII and 7D MK II everything works like it should. All firmware is up to date on RT 610 and TR611 C Well, I'm off to a shoot... Thanks for your help PROtog. Cheers!
Thanks PROtog, Your great help is appreciated. Can you also test the 611C trigger. Same issue Can't get freeze mode to work. I followed the steps you mentioned. Problem is when you fire the 611C from hand or place on top of canon 7D MK II the (FRE) sync mode changes back to (NOR) sync on RT 610 Orlit version of JINBEI HD 610 Please test on your end with same 611C trigger. If using the TRQ6 C fixes the issue, I will place my order. Thanks Mate Respect!
Our stock of TRQ6C lands tomorrow. Yes, it will work with the Orlit. You can backorder it from us and it will ship out in 2 days time. DHL to USA is 4-5 days. www.protog.com.au/jinbei-tr-q6c-bluetooth-trigger-for-canon-dslr/JBTRQ6C
What triggers are compatible with this? What trigger comes with it? Does the included trigger support all it's functions? What other Jinbei equipment works with the included trigger?
Because this is a TTL flash, there is no trigger included. The trigger needs to be specific to the camera brand, either Canon or Nikon now, with Sony in production now. The Mars flash uses either the TRQ6 series or the TR61x series trigger. Either trigger supports all the flash functions: TTL, HSS, manual adjustment, and group control. The same trigger can control Jinbei HD610, the Jinbei 600EX-RT Speedlight, and the Jinbei MSN TTL studio flashes. For owners of older Jinbeii flashes, this light is backward compatible with manual flashes and triggers such as the HD600, the TRS, TRSV, and TRA6 triggers.
We just successfully tested freeze mode with the TR-Q6C. Set the trigger to Manual mode (M). Then on the HD610 or Mars3, set the flash mode on (M) and set the sync mode to Freeze.
No, the TR-Q6C does not have a RT radio inside. It cannot talk to the Canon RT speedlights. Only the TR611C has the RT radio, so only the TR611C has ZGB mode
No. When you connect the trigger to a tablet with Bluetooth, you can change the settings with the tablet, then the trigger will talk to the flash in Jinbei protocol, not Canon RT protocol.
I will try that
Thanks

We don't have a 7D Mk2 to replicate your setup, but you could try a lower power setting and see if the flash keeps the Freeze mode.
PROtog,
How do I get my hands on the TRQ6-C
and will it also work on the US Adorama Orlit version?
Respect Mate!

PROtog I have an HD600v, I think it too should be sold without a trigger. I would not have bought the standard trigger as it doesn't support HSS.
Thanks PROtog,
I will place my order for the TRQ6-C
Have you been able to get freeze mode to work?
If so,
Can you explain how to set up
Thanks
We just successfully tested freeze mode with the TR-Q6C. Set the trigger to Manual mode (M). Then on the HD610 or Mars3, set the flash mode on (M) and set the sync mode to Freeze.
can i trigger Mars 3,if my tregger TR611,is on ZGB mode ?
Yes, with A002 firmware the TR611C can trigger the Mars3 and the Canon RT speedlight at the same time.
perfect!
Bowens mount?
The Standard head is a micro mount, but there is a Mars PRO head available with Bowens mount.
there is ZGB mode,in tr-q6c trigger?
No, The TR-Q6C does not have ZGB, but it has bluetooth for use with the App on a phone or tablet.
so, when i connect the tr-q6c to the tablet, there is ZGB mode in my tablet?
