Thanks, glad I was able to give you a better look into the design of these 7000s bodies especially now since Heil Environmental doesn't make these anymore.
Great video! That was a lot of fun! These hoppers sure are interesting. Although I see it does a bad job of keeping the streams separate. I hope it is all sorted out good in the MRF.
The Sunnyvale SMART Station does a good job on the primary sort lines to remove stuff that may have been accidentally pushed into the wrong side of the truck.
Very well done. It was fun to watch, and the spit screen is still easy to follow. It's still a shame you guys didn't get to see more cardboard on that route. I would have loved to be able to gauge the rate of hit and miss.
Yeah, cardboard was really light on this route. The holidays would really be a treat on this route (or any for that matter in Mountain View. Get ready for lots of clogged Bridgeport hoppers.
From what I've heard, they aren't even really running that Bridgeport at the moment... That could have changed by now, but I'll for sure try to get some footage around holidays.
Awesome video! I was waiting in anticipation to see if a 96 gallon would show up lol. I’ve been wanting to go to Eureka and film recology there because they too have a duel recycling truck
Still sucks how they can only recycle plastic bottles, jugs and tubs there in Mountain View, whereas other cities can take any rigid plastic container or items. I've seen so much stuff in the container hopper that could have been recycled. Hopefully the markets will expand soon though. Anyway, great video - love hopper vids. Hopefully you can make another sometime.
@@vigilantwraith6005 According to the internet, they recycle glass & aluminum containers. However only those certain plastic containers I mentioned can be recycled in their curbside system, due to their higher value being able to merit the cost of collection.
It's kinda oddly satisfying to watch these garbage trucks.
Excellent Video!
Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed it.
Awesome video! I've always wondered how those split body packers work

I love this video! Great job!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Awesome video!

+Fire Productions Thanks. Glad you like the video.

California Refuse Trucks Awesome! The things that accidentally fall in the wrong sides still get recycled, right?
TheNVTrashMan Yup. They get reset onto the right line to be sorted.

if the lids did not sway as much, I bet there would be less cross collectiob
+Kyler Abend Probably, but it isn't too bad. That will get pulled out at the SMaRT station and sent to the right place.

+Sanitation94 Yeah. Thanks, glad you liked the video.
Sanitation94 are you saying that glass and aluminum can't be recycled up there

I love it! Why do they have split trash cans? What goes in each of them?
Only recycling. One side is papers and cardboard, the other is container and plastics.
+Trash Man Daniel That is correct!
+Nathan Johnson Containers on one side, paper on the other.
California Refuse Trucks I though I might have messed up somehow.

What if someone placed a can backwards😂
