We still have 2 man trucks. Depends on the area. This area is wide open and everyone brings carts to the curb. A automated truck is the way to go for efficiency

A different company picks up the recycle cans. I pick up what I can they leave them thrown around all the time. I like to leave all my carts standing up and not leave a mess.
