My heart just filled with emotion when the orcas overwhelmed the baby whale and its mother...but that's survival in the wild.I thank God for creating such magnificent creatures and making man stewards of them... over-fishing and greed is endangering our sea life.More education like this doccie should make everybody aware of protecting our oceans and marine life.Such wonderful creatures

Please join hands to stop Japan from releasing nuclear wastewater into the ocean! Stop it NOW! Japan claims that it has filtered the nuclear wastewater before discharging it. But a few times earlier, many radioactive isotopes were detected from the water sample or dead fish found in the nearby area. So far, Japan claims that the wastewater contains only Tritium at an internationally accepted level. Still, Tritium is radioactive and could pose a threat to the underwater ecosystem since the wastewater release will continue in the next 30 years! ...

But They try to rape and drown people; they gang rape their females and sometimes hold them hostage for weeks; they murder baby porpoises for fun; they kill the babies of rival male dolphins, because as soon as her child dies, a female dolphin is ready to be raped and impregnated immediately.

Nice documentary. Indeed ocean is the most bizarre world, that seems to be very archaic on its seabed. Octopus’s view was incredible, so was the female hatching inside its cave. A birth in lifetime, and short life span.
J, K, L killer whale pods have been studied and distinguished since they live permanently in The Salish Sea, where they feed on salmon. While the transitional appeared to hunt and feed. The pods are truly predators as we saw when killing the gray whale’s calf.
On the other hand, looking at dolphins being alone, is kind of rare. What impressed me the most is how they interact with people. Seems a reciprocal study. Amazing how dolphins like to be rub with algae, almost like a massage to them. So is the way they prevent other species when there might be some danger.
Curious relation between the dog and Mara, the dolphin.
Thanks so much for all the explanation and details

@@Aaron_leonard Dolphin Project Crew documents the hunts annually. Supporting them helps a lot. www.dolphinproject.com/campaigns/save-japan-dolphins/
Also simply being educated on the issues with dolphin captivity helps a lot as you are able to talk to people. Tell them where those performing dolphins came from. Not supporting places that display captive whales and dolphins is also effective.

    • @CleverClover2023
      @CleverClover2023 5 років тому +23

@Alex Grechanin Tradition and culture is more of an excuse than anything. Traditions and cultures can and should change with the times. Dolphin hunting isnt for food, it is to supply the captivity industry with new performing animals. Very few are actually killed for food. Another issue is that dolphin and whale meat is highly toxic (pcbs and mercury). Meat sold in Japanese markets has long been tested and it is all extremely dangerous to eat. www.dolphinproject.com/campaigns/save-japan-dolphins/danger-dolphin-meat-is-poisoned-by-mercury/
Perhaps you should learn why this needs to stop before ignorantly demanding that the Japanese be 'respected', because they sure as fuck dont respect other beings and their cultures.

Well i tried but nah still can't. I guess it'll be quite impossible for me to imagine a dolphon even in my wildest of dreams let alone being close to one. 😂😉😝
However, for the sake of the subject in question & to imagination in general, I could try the same but with a dolphin 🐬 😅...
Well, it is grand to say the least but, even though how majestic, creative and wild your imagination could run, it still cannot compare with a real live experience with them dolphins 😊 See, every year, i travel to islands in the Indian Ocean such as Mauritius, Reunion, Koh tao, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Perhentian, Tioman, Maldives, Seychelles, Rodrigues etc etc...and over there, for an affordable package with the hotel, you can go out to sea and literally go swimming with dolphins. Yep, imagine swimming with friends and others in the deep blue surrounded by dolphins playing and having a blast. It is nothing short of a magical experience 🦄

It gets me so mad that they kept saying that Orcas are whales, when they aren't they are the biggest species of Dolphin. There name started off as Whale Killers cause thats what they do kill whales. Apex Predators.

beautifully done documentary. for those who are watching documentaries on the marine life you are obviously interested. do not judge that they say Miss quote about orcas if you have enough intelligence and knowledge to understand that they are the largest Dolphins....Bravo but don't judge others on what they put in documentaries, these are beautifully done documentaries by people who have dedicated their lives to study marine life, what have you done for the world?

If you love dolphins then you should be more interested in having respect for them. Protecting them in the wild and ending their exploitation in captivity. It is illegal in most of the world to touch or be close to wild dolphins as they are protected. Some places allow swimming with wild dolphins, that might be an option. But remember there are diseases and viruses that can be transmitted to their kind and ours. Please dont support captivity though.

19:18 Orcas are not whales!!! They are dolphins... You cannot make such a mistake in a "documentary". However, I also recognise the great effort you made. Thanks for the videos of the marine life
