Victor now has a 1.5 size in a #10 hook size. They are perfect for Crappie. He mentioned that he is looking at making some a little bigger and my fingers are crossed to some day see him put something out for Walleye.
Those I_Fish jigheads are top notch 🔥. Caught a 4 lbs bass on the 1.5 gram dressed with the Berkley Nymph. I'm going to have to give those Gekkabejin jigs a go. Thanks for the content. Great vid bro 👊🏼
Just ordered some of the 1.5g I’ve been so busy I haven’t kept up with UA-cam. Thanks for the comment and watching man, I will have a lot more time soon to get back out there heavy
Victor has those made and they are by far the best jigs in the Country that size period. I love when I see other people here on UA-cam supporting him. No one tries harder to provide the best of the best than Victor.
@@greenpea9412 I’m pretty sure he doesn’t even know who I am but I am very appreciative of his work and contributions to the community. I’ve been ultralight fishing for over 20 years and wish I had these Jigheads back then
I grew up fishin' in Florida and when I was 18 I got a Penn 430SS and 5' Ugly Stik. I filled up with 6 lb test and started catching snook with it at the beach. Back then they had to be 24" minimum, they're not small fish. My biggest was 38" and took about 20 minutes to land. Once I accidentally hooked a cobia with it and it took an hour and a half to put in the boat. That really wasn't fun after a half hour, it got painful and I rather use heavier (20 lb) line for them and for snook around structure. And now I honestly use 10 lb braid instead of 6 lb mono. It casts farther and still gets the bites. As far as durable soft plastics goes, you can't really beat Z Man Elastek soft plastics. They're super tough. They have a big line of ultralight jig tails. When I lived in Florida and used 6 lb test a lot I would use shrimp for bait and I put them on crappie jig heads for tube jigs and thin gold hooks. That's how I caught the cobia and a lot of snook, trout, redfish and flounder. Light wire is fine with light line, even for long wars with big fish.
Just saw this video and returning to some ultra light fishing after a prolonged multi year break due to health issues. I got spoiled to the sharpness and better fishability of the Diawa Ajing JDM jigs a few years back but the cost along with the shipping and spotty availability were a pain. Just placed a small sample order of the i-fish jigs to give those a comparison test and hope I find those a worthy cheaper and easier more reliable access replacement. Thanks for the video, until people actually use JDM gear including the rods, reels, line and tackle they do not truly understand just how crappy most of the American market ultra light stuff really is.
I say Gek like "cheque"....atleast that what I heard other peeps say. Thosenjigheads were all I used last weekend down here last weekend in the salt water
Mule baits in theory are great however because there so soft they are a total pain to rig. Now mule jig heads are superior to any other, I have not personally tried BG heads. NRV baits have excellent baits as well there geared towards trout but great for other species. I've caught many Small mouth on them. They are also not hard to rig due to plastic being harder. Great video though, UL love here my favorite style of fishing.
Hey great video , I’m not totally rewatching it lol 😭 but anyways . I wanted to know how long does Jdm tackle heaven takes to ship? I recently ordered a rod from there and I was wondering how long it took for your rod to get here?
Hey man yeah I ordered multiple times and lately there seems to be some delays and cancellations happening… :( I had an order canceled recently. How long has it been? Thanks for the positive words 😊👍
Daiwa Luvias 2000s lt from Japan! The jdm version has a shallow spool and is super light. Pairs great with this rod and is essentially an ultralight reel

Right on. Mule Fishing baits rule! My go to is the burro bug as of late. Also the horse fly. Donkey tail is sweet too!

@@TheUltralightLife bass love the burro bug as well. I need to keep stocked up
