I’d figure that the vanilla vf4 console version did things differently, it’s the camera angle and presentation.
Final tuned has the mist hyped up music for sure. It's so much more fun to play but was never released outside of the arcade.
I like how much time they devote showing the outside of Akira's indoor stage.

Sarah's awesome VF3 stage could have easily worked for 4. Just get rid of the stairs. The random square in the middle of ancient ruins is so stupid.
They should have released Final Tuned instead of Ultimate Showdown.
