  • Today we take the new Coleman B200RSV and build a 2" lift kit. I build spacers for the front forks, fab up 2 engine lift, and 11" nitrogen shock. We also change the sprocket size to get more torque. This is our new favorite mini bike on the market. The frame is strong and with this lift kit its even better.

    Just purchased my B200RSV today ! Got it out of the box and running, laid the shocks down and funny but I had the same idea for fork spacers as you ! I need to get this registered and legal before I start doing the really fun mods. Here in Nevada it's possible to make these street legal so I'm going to do that, then I can pretty much ride it anywhere on public land and streets. Love your videos, I'll be watching this build for sure !

    I really like the look of the bike lifted 2 inches. The process involved quite a chain reaction of modifications. Glad you are going to come out with a kit. Most of us do not have machine shops and MIG welders. Fun to watch you work.

    Like the content. I have 5 colemans. The kickstand brackets are death traps. I cut the brackets off the rb100 and ct100 that runs a mod 196cc. My new b200r lasted 5 minutes in the woods before I lost the kickstand spring. The ct200ex and ct200 have not been as problematic. I would like to ride 7 miles of hell on a pullstart bike. I do alot of "testing". Thanx for the content and wish yall well.

    • @psavar97
      @psavar97 2 місяці тому +1

      Solid thinking but I'm guessing no. The issue is the location of the swingarm pivot point needs to be as close as possible in a straight line with the jackshaft or engine. As the swing arm moves up and down depending on how close to an ideal location the pivot is at, the chain will tighten and loosen. Moving it down by an 1" or two would make the chain get over tight or fall off when it loosens. They could have moved the rear shock mount point closer to the swingarm pivot point though, softer but taller suspension then.

    • @Deucealive75
      @Deucealive75 3 місяці тому

      @@ikeclanton3901 Hopefully RB can answer because he has one.
      What you need to know is the jackshaft size. If the keyway is 3/16" then you have a 5/8" jackshaft. If the keyway is 5mm then you have a 16mm jackshaft.
      I have an 8 tooth on one of my Colemans. It fit on the 16mm jackshaft of the cheap ebay torque converter. I made a tiny spacer for the keyway because the 3/16 key on the sprocket is smaller than the 5mm keyway.
      The 8 tooth is small and doesn't look very robust. And it's quite a turn around for a 420 chain.
      The 8/50 gearing I use works ok. I think 8/60 would be too much gearing to control. You might find yourself in a wheelie at the wrong time without trying.

    Id like to see more of this bike, I wasnt too impressed by my MB200 in stock form but after throwing money at it, it became wildly enjoyable. Im curious if this one is better at least in stock form, I may have to switch bikes as I find the seat is really high after installing different shocks on the MB200 (stock shocks broke in half). However, I found the Mega moto 212 a little short for me and I fear this one may be the same.

    I have the B200R which looks similar to your Coleman model and the aftermarket headers come too close to the rider's left leg and barely clears the frame. I've wrapped my header and still burn holes in my pants leg. I suspect the header you've made will have the same problem when you place your feet to the ground. Just offering some constructive criticism. I'm about to install my third aftermarket header that's short and aims down and back instead of up and back.
    Love your channel. I've learned so much about small engine modification.

  • @Parents_of_Twins

    Instead of skewing the engine couldn't you use an idler gear on the swing arm and a longer chain? That way you wouldn't have to worry about your oil levels being high on one side of the engine and low on the other. Probably not a problem most of time but could be an issue on hills.

    Ok stop doing things like HACKS. Maybe cover the seat and belt cover with a welding blanket before destroying them with welding slag when tavking things together.

      That would be Ken to you, thank you. These folks are selling parts therefore should be a bit more PROFESSIONAL than your backyard hillbilly destroying a brand new seat and plastic belt cover with mig splatter for not taking literally 30 seconds to cover them is not only not professional, it doesn't instill confidence in the other parts they make.

    When are you going to get to actually building stuff? You'd get a lot more channel growth if you built original things instead of one coleman mini bike after another.

      Clicked on your channel to see awesome new content. Surprised face when nothing was there... I like the Coleman Africa bike thingy. those bikes are insanely popular and it's a fun change.

      @@RedBeardsGarage I just counted 13 minibike vidoes in the last 10 months. I'd like to see something from scratch, you could build a bike....I generally think chinese mini bikes are junk. I'm trying to build a bike myself, I bought a tig welder and a tube bender, and I'm putting together a plan. So I like to get some ideas from stuff people build on youtube, just trying to help. I bought a wildcat 459 from EC Carb, drove up there to nashville and picked it up. Not really interested in any 200cc size engines, I'm kinda like why use a 223 when they've got a 459. And the suspension on those minibikes is garbage, chain falls off, not something I'd want to ride for long distances.
