The first thing you should do when you get your route book is make sure all of the pages are there. Make sure the page numbers and instruction numbers are sequential and are all present :)

Very informative video, huge thanks for sharing the knowledge!
Could you give more tech info on the impreza? Especially on the suspension/tires parameters?

Hey dear ONeil Team, I have a question.
Do rally organizers usually give the directions and you just add something to your pace notes?
I always thought the co-drivers get through the course and can detailed write everything down.
    How does it usually work?

Generally, for a stage rally, you will get the Gemba notes. These are a computerized quantitative measurement of the stage. Then, before the stage rally, or the stage itself, the drivers and co-drivers do "recce", also known as reconnaissance. This helps them better calculate the speed of the hill / turn / jump, etc. When at speed, the Gemba notes are not always accurate and then can better estimate the difficulty of the turn and estimated length of the distance before accelerating / braking. Hope this helps!
