Hi guys and gals! Hope you enjoy my videos. If you want to help me out and support channel (which is demonatized because... UA-cam) - leave a tip on PayPal: www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=EELSMENC2RZUA No pressure though - just enjoy this stuff and have a good day!
I saw Louis C.K. do a popup show around 2010, give or take, where he announced he was working out new material for an upcoming tour. Sure enough, he had notebooks he flipped through onstage and jotted notes in here and there. Even half-cooked, his shit was funny as hell. At the end, he thanked the audience for being patient with his lack of professionalism and picked up everybody's bar tab for the whole show, chicken wings and all. Good guy.
Lucky Louie felt like a stepping stone on the stereotypical path that all comedians used to do: do well on stand-up, go on a talkshow, then get a pilot for a sitcom, get syndicated for a bit, show ends after 1-2 seasons, then retire. The FX show Louis felt like the deconstruction of Lucky Louie.
Sad… sad it got cancelled man. Hate that shit. I would be satisfied with like 3 seasons at least. I wanted to see more. But at least we got Louie on FX.
Lucky Louie was a very good show. Especially for that time. Everyone was doing the cookie cutter thing and he wasn't, but in the old fashion style of sitcom making. I'm not gonna argue it was some genius show that was robbed, but it was seriously funny and I've watched it back many times. Louie is of course brilliant, but each one of his things has shown growth and something different. One of the reasons I love Louis is because Lucky Louie, Louie, and Horace and Pete are all really different but excellent shows.

What a class act, he was extraordinarily thorough with his speech for Carlins Memorial. I aways appreciated his love for the craft itself.
i don't know why but i really enjoy listening to louis talk about stuff, from movies he's watched to the breadth of his work to presidents of the US
I could listen to him talk about literally anything. I hope that woody movie gets out someday.
Don’t touch me.
He tells great stories and hes hilarious
There’s no ego to him and he’s insightful. He’s very real
I feel the same. I've never watched his stand-up, but he's an incredible storyteller.

That was the path back then. Now the path is be funny on a podcast and rake in patreon bucks while promoting your standup like Shane Gillis did.
@@barahng It clearly has a way forward, you're right.
i want to see that Entourage episode !
"Worst day of my life to date" Oh boy, get ready Lou.
Horace and Pete is the best thing Louis has ever done
Horace and Pete is high art. A masterpiece in every way.
Marc Maron and his "yeah, yeah, yeah" thing.
It was good stuff. It was a deconstruction of the sitcom formula, mocking sitcoms and audience expectations. Great shows like that rarely last.
Wow...can you imagine that show with Nick Di Paolo?
I'll get that Louie outline as a tattoo, i swear to fuckin god, i will.

I love that CK unwittingly said blacks are stereotypical cliches haha
boy the view musta changed a lot in fifteen years. i wonder what louis would say about it now
Maybe it was the dumb laugh tracks
Marc maron is the biggest loser comedian I've ever heard. Gives me thinky pain 😅
Maybe they canceled it because he was whackin it on set 😂
He did show the full monty in one episode -- maybe too many audience members were tired of seeing it.
Lucky Louie sucked, it’s that simple.
Well that's just like your opinion man.
Honestly I never saw it. I really liked the FX show Louie though.
@@FrankBoothPBR Louie on FX was original and hilarious, lucky Louie was trash.
@ekonomakos Sad da tay, sometimes you gots to say na nay no on the runny kine my dilly.

it had a lot of good or even great moments and potential. sad that it was discontinued but good to hear louis explain a lot of the bts
