Horses are a rare animal that can see with their eyes independently on the side, and use them together in the front like a human. The blinders cut off the side view but not the front, mainly to reduce distractions. Just telling you in case the thought of a blind horse being flung around a track upset you 😄 love you both!!
@@eoincampbell1584 it's just their nose/mouth/directly underneath and a few feet out in front and the size of the blind spot changes with age and head shape of the horse. ❤ some are nearsighted and some are farsighted, the farsighted horses see really really well to the front from far away. Whether they are near or farsighted dictates what the horse is better at ie jumping, riding, racing, working, etc.
Okay, I know that this is all jokes, but I thought I’d share a fun fact about the whole “lightly used”/rented coffin thing! Basically this is when the family is planning to cremate their loved one but still want a viewing beforehand, so there’s the option to “rent” a coffin that the body will be in for a viewing, but you have not had to purchase the coffin. Coffins are often ridiculously expensive, so renting one for a viewing is a more economic option for a lot of people! The body is put in a simple wooden box that slides into the rental coffin, so the body does not actually touch the lining of the coffin and it’s not unsanitary. So a “lightly used” coffin would be one that has been used for rental viewings that you can purchase at a discounted price.
@@clickclickbangbang probably not, but it's illegal to place a deceased person into a casket another deceased person has touched. (Least ways, it is in California) Experience has also shown me its also a LOT easier to slide people out of the tray than lifting them out with a lift.

As a funeral home worker, I can explain the casket rentals haha. Some people want a viewing but also want to be cremated. You can't cremate a lot of casket options out there, so families can rent the casket for the viewing and then use the traditional cardboard box for the cremation itself. "Lightly used" most likely refers to it being used for a couple hours and then returned. No rented casket would be buried. Also, the deceased wouldn't come in contact with the actual casket as there would be a thick plastic almost rubber bag, similar in shape to a dress storage bag, inside the casket that the deceased would be inside.

Fun fact: horses have ALMOST a 360 view: as prey animals, it's advantageous for their eyes to be placed slightly to either side of their face. Their natural "blind spots" are directly in front of them and behind them, at close range. That is why you often hear the rule to always approach a horse slightly from the side. Never head on or right up to his bum. He can't see you, so he'a more likely to become spooked and cause injury to you, himself, etc. The blinders that our two FANTASTIC podcasters were talking about limit the level of sight on the sides, but they are not completely blinded. They still have a window of vision between where the blinders end and their blind spot begins in their frontal view of vision. The purpose of the blinders are to limit the amount of visual distractions and potential "spook" triggers while a horse is working to pull a cart or carriage on a busy public street. Just want to personally thank y’all for getting me through tax season. The office I work at was severely understaffed and mentally exhausted me. I would only allow myself to watch 20min of the podcast per day so I got a little boost every night before going to work the next day.
This is like the 3rd time I've heard Sarah talk about the movie "Red Eye" and I talk about it all the time and feel like no one knows what tf I'm talking about. That movie stuck with me into my adulthood.
I don’t know how to leave a helpful comment, but here’s my best shot: A portmanteau is a blending of words, like breakfast and lunch for brunch; and the term “Deep Fake” is just a compound noun, not a portmanteau. Hope that helps, I love this stuff.

The Nicholas cage bit had me remember this prank a friend and I did to our high school's computer labs. We found out there was a chrome extension that changed ALL images searched and uploaded to the browser to a photo of Nick Cage and we went around to every computer lab and installed the extension on all of them. For weeks every time a teacher had to use the computer lab and show an example the image results were just photos of Nick Cage over and over again and they had no idea why. Even their own photos on our school's website were of Nick Cage, it was incredible.
Thank you guys for bringing up Joaquin Oliver! I was thinking of him when you were talking about that. The video referenced is what made me aware of that specific tragedy and learning about the details sent me spiraling into a major depressive episode and I’m still sympathetic and everything towards it. Such a very horrible event that could have been prevented if the people in positions of power actually cared about any of us
Just found this podcast about a week ago and have watched every episode! It is my new favorite. Brit and Sarah are a powerhouse duo and I get so excited for new content
Those rented and lightly used caskets are probably for cremations! A lot of people go with the cheapest option for a cremation since the body has to be burned in something. The cheapest option usuall is basically just a cardboard box. However if you want a nice viewing/wake before the cremation, you can get nicer caskets that don't look quite so grim. But then you don't burn that pretty expensive casket.
I don't really have friends in this way lol and it's so fun/ interesting to hear ya'll feed off each other. The reason i like it is that you're not always right, or have a structure, but it's real and engaging. Thanks for letting us witness a slice of your world. :)
personally i think 'deepfake' is more of a compound word than a portmanteau, also the phrase "if youre gonna die on that hill, then die" absolutely killed me
The dairy comment on breaking out is a true statement!! Just back in February I had to remove both dairy and gluten from my diet due to unknown allergies, and within a month my face cleared up so fast and has never been so healthy
i had a dream where y'all talked abt me on the podcast and like called me out and i literally have never been more embarrassed, it was the equivalent to being on stage in my underwear. Just watching brittany and sarah fumble through nearsightedness and farsightedness only for them to immediately switch to trying to understand the order of the star wars movies bless their hearts
I've seen other comments addressing the horse thing and I'd also like to chime in and say that blinders don't completely obstruct a horses vision. Just the side and rear portions of it. The can still see ahead of them. Horses have almost 360° vision. My horse uses that to hunt me down for treats lol.
I love how often I forget what the theme of each episode is every week because of all the tangents. It’s always a lovely surprise to be brought back to the actual topic 😂
this is one of my favorite podcasts not just because of all the interesting information i learn from the show but also from the comment section, the conversations generated here after every video is always so fun to hear so much from others about the topic:)
Sarah saying “that actress from that show with those people” is exactly like hearing me and my mom talk to each other with the most vague, descriptors possible yet somehow knowing what the other person is talking about
i can’t begin to explain how everytime i’m having a bad day and it feels like i’m all alone in the world this podcast magical makes it monday and releases a new episode
I remember showing my parents the Bill Hader impression video and they were like "How does he change his face to look like the person he's doing impressions of? That's crazy that he can morph his face!!" And I had to explain to them that it wasn't real, and they were 1000% convinced it was real. Gave me a good laugh though!!
I also swear by the avoiding dairy for good skin thing - I stopped all animal dairy and my skin cleared totally, literally never get pimples unless I eat dairy. I do miss cheese but good skin is better 😂
It's so weird how that works. I been eating cheese and drinking milk my whole life and never had any problems. I wonder what exactly causes some people to have such a bad reaction like acne. I know for intolerance it causes diarrhea and gas.
Ghost portraits is an example of early photo manipulation! Photographers could manipulate the way they prepped the plates(??? old timey cameras are weird idk) to make figures appear that were not sitting for that particular portrait

Someone I knew was a carriage driver just for fun, and his horse LOVED it. You could almost feel his excitement as he thundered by, ears pricked forward and ready to go! They were quite the team. Thanks for reading lol
Them struggling to describe a lot of things through out this episode resonates with me on a deeply spiritual level 😭. Favorite podcast ever! ❤️
Just want to personally thank y’all for getting me through tax season. The office I work at was severely understaffed and mentally exhausted me. I would only allow myself to watch 20min of the podcast per day so I got a little boost every night before going to work the next day.
sarah’s complete lack of pop culture knowledge only makes them more lovable
WHEN BRITNEY BURPED AND STARTED SCREAMING FOR HELP OMFG 😭😭
This is like the 3rd time I've heard Sarah talk about the movie "Red Eye" and I talk about it all the time and feel like no one knows what tf I'm talking about. That movie stuck with me into my adulthood.
I loved that movie so much and Cillian Murphy is one of my favorite actors. Sunshine is another great one with him!
RIP Wes Craven 😭
That movie made me seriously upset watching it, but also loved it and appreciated it
Yes! It terrified me to no end.
I don’t know how to leave a helpful comment, but here’s my best shot: A portmanteau is a blending of words, like breakfast and lunch for brunch; and the term “Deep Fake” is just a compound noun, not a portmanteau. Hope that helps, I love this stuff.
had to explain this to be best friend a couple of weeks ago because i was trying to come up with one for breakfast/ lunch and dinner, i think she almost bashed me
“Anakin Skywalker got mean” is now the best Explain A Film Plot Badly description 😂
For my future self: Timestamp for Brittany's burp/screaming help is 05:49
Thank you for this 😂
Ily both so much! Sarah for her rawness and Brittany because she's hilarious and authentic aND we are both 97 bbs!
another 97 bb here!🥰
my grandma got a scam call once where they used MY voice to say i was in jail 3 states away and needed bail money. luckily my grandma didn’t fall for it lmao but it freaks me tf out thinking they faked my voice and where they got it from
Volunteering on the Poland Ukrainian border and this podcast helps me decompress. Thanks guys you never fail to make me laugh ☺️
Thank you for your hard work man ❤️
Holy crap, I hope you're safe, you brave mf !!
@@pizzacomananas of course ❤️🇺🇦
Legend
y’all are so lucky you cornered the mentally ill market i listened to this podcast on youtube and couldn’t stand the sound of my own thoughts and ambient noise of living w roommates so i went to spotify to listen through again there you’re welcome
Brittany: "and who was the 5th president of the United States?"
Sarah: "dude, no... John Adams?"
Brittany: "sure."
😂😂😂😂😂
Me scream-laughing "NO, NO"
The Nicholas cage bit had me remember this prank a friend and I did to our high school's computer labs.
@Andra Banandra 😂😂 honestly if I read somewhere Nicholas cage bit someone I wouldn’t be surprised ☠️
It’s now my weekly schedule to watch this after my third mental breakdown of the day
Hope you are ok lovely 💕
Same and every week I forget it exists so when I get the notification it's like hell yeah my day is about to do a 180
the way this podcast makes mondays slightly less insufferable
Fav moment of the entire series so far was just now in this podcast when Britney was trying to figure out who Kate with the big yittis is 😂😂😂😂
I was yelling at my tv cause i knew she was thinking of Kate Upton
When Brittany said i know who shot Kennedy i started crying laughing
Thank you guys for bringing up Joaquin Oliver! I was thinking of him when you were talking about that. The video referenced is what made me aware of that specific tragedy and learning about the details sent me spiraling into a major depressive episode and I’m still sympathetic and everything towards it. Such a very horrible event that could have been prevented if the people in positions of power actually cared about any of us
im in a bubble bath with cheesy bread, fries, and a spiked seltzer. the pod makes this a perfect night 💖
Just found this podcast about a week ago and have watched every episode! It is my new favorite. Brit and Sarah are a powerhouse duo and I get so excited for new content
Me, 27 and feeling old, hearing that Sarah is also 27: Oh thank GODS
I forgot its monday and this comes out. Literally made my next few hours happy
This is probably the only podcast I will ever listen too. Thank y’all so much for great content!
I like you guys cause your voices are soothing, from hearing people scream all day, hearing someone speak in a calm manner is refreshing. Thank you.
I literally love this podcast so much I can’t even count the times I’ve rewatched all the previous episodes
you guys could talk about ants vs. bees and the tangents would just be fucking iconic and i’d be watching and living for it. THANK YOU FOR THISSSSS
going thru a bestie breakup so this is the only thing i have been looking forward to :")
♥️
Every week I think, "there's no way I'll laugh harder than I did at the last episode" and I'm consistently proved incorrect, love you two sm 🖤🖤
brittany’s laptop being basically stickerless is scary
personally i think 'deepfake' is more of a compound word than a portmanteau, also the phrase "if youre gonna die on that hill, then die" absolutely killed me
Literally having a whole ass life breakdown and you guys are like a tiny island of happiness that I am desperately in need of thanx bebes
LMAO then i woke up too a new podcast and just realized Sarah is wearing a Mount Rainier hoodie and i was born right near there so i am taking this as a sign that the planets are aligned and i am on the right path. love y'all and this podcast xoxoxo LOL
Just watching brittany and sarah fumble through nearsightedness and farsightedness only for them to immediately switch to trying to understand the order of the star wars movies bless their hearts
brittany inspired me to finally write a book, the fan fiction always inspires new ideas 😁😁😁😁
Love y’all so much for making me feel like less of a weirdo w too much internet knowledge. Keep up the good work friends
"hey, if that's the hill you're gonna die on, then die" what a quote
Brittany’s eyeliner is always so on point T_T
I've seen other comments addressing the horse thing and I'd also like to chime in and say that blinders don't completely obstruct a horses vision. Just the side and rear portions of it. The can still see ahead of them. Horses have almost 360° vision. My horse uses that to hunt me down for treats lol.
😂😂 awwww
I love how often I forget what the theme of each episode is every week because of all the tangents. It’s always a lovely surprise to be brought back to the actual topic 😂
I was screaming kate upton to the screen and got so frustrated XDD glad y'all got there in the end
i figured out why i love this podcast so much... it reminds me of the jnj podcast
the way i was yelling 'kate upton' at my laptop
this is one of my favorite podcasts not just because of all the interesting information i learn from the show but also from the comment section, the conversations generated here after every video is always so fun to hear so much from others about the topic:)
i would love to hear an episode on fandoms, coming from someone who’s had a special interest in superheros for 10+ years!!
WHEN BRITTANY BURPS AND YELLS FOR HELP 😭😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sarah saying “that actress from that show with those people” is exactly like hearing me and my mom talk to each other with the most vague, descriptors possible yet somehow knowing what the other person is talking about
5:50 - Brittany burping and having a panic attack, you're welcome
I love this podcast sm plz never stop posting
Please someone make a tiktok audio of Brittany saying “if that’s the hill you’re gonna die on, then die”
i can’t begin to explain how everytime i’m having a bad day and it feels like i’m all alone in the world this podcast magical makes it monday and releases a new episode
Let's all thank Sarah's throat for giving us this raspy era
I remember showing my parents the Bill Hader impression video and they were like "How does he change his face to look like the person he's doing impressions of? That's crazy that he can morph his face!!" And I had to explain to them that it wasn't real, and they were 1000% convinced it was real. Gave me a good laugh though!!
I also swear by the avoiding dairy for good skin thing - I stopped all animal dairy and my skin cleared totally, literally never get pimples unless I eat dairy. I do miss cheese but good skin is better 😂
dairy makes me violently ill, unfortunately that does not stop me
@@alexia7063 🤣
It's so weird how that works. I been eating cheese and drinking milk my whole life and never had any problems.
I wonder what exactly causes some people to have such a bad reaction like acne. I know for intolerance it causes diarrhea and gas.
im the biggest beatles fan and everytime brittany says anything about them i just fangirl so hard
y’all should do an episode or video of brittany trying to guess movies that sarah describes
Ghost portraits is an example of early photo manipulation! Photographers could manipulate the way they prepped the plates(??? old timey cameras are weird idk) to make figures appear that were not sitting for that particular portrait
I could listen to the two of you talk for hours. There's funny, insightful, idiotic, chaotic, intelligent, and fun all wrapped into one podcast!
Hello. I lost a pet today. 30 minutes ago actually. And tuning into this is helping me distract myself. I found him and it wasn't nice. So thank you for these videos.
I was in the middle of eating cereal when brittany started talking about pus in milk and you know what? I kept eating my cereal.
not you guys literally talking about going to a convention and cosplaying while i was LITERALLY getting into cosplay for a convention at 6 in the morning ..also the absolute chaos of this podcast at 6am hits so different
Al Pacino is low key still alive. hahaha
But also high key
ok but can we talk about when Brittany asked Sarah what Deep Learning is and Sarah said “it’s like distance learning but you’re underground” bc I CACKLED
Brittany’s burps were so cataclysmic this episode it rearranged my atoms🤙🏽
This comment just launched me onto the dark side of the moon 💀
I have been BINGING this podcast at work for the past week (i only have a few episodes left I’m so sad) and feel like i have genuinely become funnier and wittier after watching this podcast
