I live Cramlington direction with Northumberland and the borders on my doorstep, we are truly blessed with some of the best roads in the country for motorcycles. I enjoyed your vlog which I can relate to in many ways so thanks for that. I recently picked up the other couch (RT) from Sunderland BMW, nice bunch of chaps for sure 👍 if you keep having battery issues I’m sure they’ll sort it for you. Looking forward to your next post on the topic.
Noticing the comments, I had the same issue as others with the Datatool tracker draining the battery. I too now use a trickle charger every time I put it back in the garage.
I recently bought a 2019 1250gs and i keep the bike plugged into a battery tender when not riding. My battery also failed (bmw Exide battery). The forums recommended upgrading to a higher power, higher output battery which i did and so far so good. The battery i purchased was a Yuasa GYZ16H (16ah 240cca) which was a direct fit, like for like size wise, if anybody is interested.
Nice vid - look forward to following once you're up and running. I had similar issue with my R1200GS and like someone else has posted, I invested in an Optimate 4.5 from Nippy Normans, I keep it plugged in all the time and have never had a problem since.
I've had my 2020 GSA for a year now and I've called BMW assist 4 times to have it recovered. Last time it was a flat battery 150 miles from home. Under warranty it's having a new alternator and a complete headlight unit. I love the bike but not the reliability. Seriously thinking of trading it in for an Africa twin. Honda reliability.
Good vid and sorry for your pain. I firmly believe these things happen for a reason and you weren’t meant to go that day. I’ve subbed to your channel as a fellow Geordie (living in Ireland for the last 23rd). I also did the N’land 250 back in March for 3 days and the rain was biblical. Watch it on my channel if you want as my GS also played up! Looking forward to your future adventures. Dave🙏🏍️
Jeez, 10 mins to tell us the bike had a flat battery! You need to stop some of the waffle, look in to the camera, reduce background noise from the mic, get to the point, other than that, a fair start.
Oh bugger that’s the sort of thing that happens to me , I feel for you mate all the prep and a dodgy battery I would probably get a new battery and if mum in law is ok slip a optimax charger on a day or two before just to be on the safe side good luck and 10/10 for the video it’s not all Charlie and Ewan blasting round the world with unlimited funds etc most of us have a very small window when we can get out for a while 👍😊
Good video mate, nice to see a local lad on UA-cam.

I think am going to purchase a trickle charger of some kind and keep it plugged in once I get the bike relocated to its perminant home thanks 👍🏻
On all my bikes over the last 20+ years I fit optimiser leads direct to the battery . I use them 24/7 - 365 .

Is there a Datatool tracker hidden on the bike draining the battery? I had this problem. I keep mine on an Optimate 4 BMW DIN trickle charger now.
It’s does have a tracker so could be the case? It’s in at BMW tomorrow for a warranty issue so going to ask them the have a look thanks.
stuff needing to do that, bmw shit
@@Shaunscrawford Yeah thats exactly what happened to me on mine. I keep it on a trickle charger now.

Nice bike. Hope your battery issue is nothing major. Those can be challenging to sort out. Lately keeping mine on a tender. Seems to be helping 🤞

The AI subtitle generator was loving your accent 😂

Nice one. Would recommend a mic for talking to camera.
Bike looks cool 👍
A male version of Saffy Sprocket?
We need to do a moto vlog bro
Yes we do
Covid didn't stop me riding my bike, at all. Nor did I wear a mask, ever. Please, get a life, stop doing what the state wants, before it's too late.
Agree with this comment fully.
