2 Freak’n dollars? Gosh darn it!! Here in Brisbane Australia you will pay around $14 - $19 a bowl and it is mediocre at best! You get hardly any meat and the broth is watered down crap. I have to cook it myself or go to my mothers house to eat an amazing bowl. So jealous that you get to travel and eat such fantastic foods, some that are only a stones throw away from where you live. I have kept a list of places that you have suggested for when I finally travel to Vietnam. Can’t wait! ❤ thank you for the recommendations and your entertaining videos , you truly are very charismatic and adorable ☺️. Keep up the amazing Work Calvin!

I grew up eating pigs feet, hocks, and shanks cooked and pickled various ways. Feet and a roasted pigs head are the best parts of the pig to eat…. I think the chili and lemongrass in the Bun Bo Hue broth is what makes it so addictive. If I ate this everyday, I wouldn’t have anything to look forward to!! 😋

I live in NJ. But I cross the bridge into Philly to eat at a small family business called Cafe Diem.
On the Jersey side I go to Hên Vietnamese Eatery in Cherry Hill. Both keep their meals as authentic as possible. Most places change and leave out ingredients to match their customers palate. Which is understandable if the money spent to have everything on hand would be wasted.
This is a matter of opinion, but to say that bun bo Hue is better than pho is crazy. You’re out of you damn mind. My family is from Hue and I have never heard anyone made a comment like that. 😊

Where did you read that one is better than the other? I eat various dishes. Every person will like one dish over another. But nowhere did I trash one dish as being a bad dish…. You stated your preference. I think that other people have preferences also…. Enjoy what you pay for.

Got shafted by a taxi drivers' recommendation in Hue, a 'famous' place. They would not put blood cake in the bowl for us, even though it was available. #whitepeopleproblems BBH in Perth, Western Australia is generally pretty good, and some are very good, in my opinion.

How much is a bowl for BBH in California these days?
@@fkndeliciousness Where I live it's about $14 for a bowl, but I'm too far north of SF. Down in the city, probably $10 for a bowl. I learned how to eat Vietnamese in a little restaurant near my college in LA, back in the 90s when it still had a bad reputation amongst lots of Americans. They know better now, pho shops everywhere now. Love your work bro, keep it up

I'm going here and I'm getting two pigs feet in my soup. It's only a 26 minute cab ride from our hotel. The only Vietnamese soup I've had is pho which I love, so I'm totally down with trying something different. Another delicious episode. Keep going Calvin!!!
