    Great video, I have the same model with exception that mine is hydrostatic. On the hydraulic, there is only two shims from the factory, mechanics manual calls for four. Fixed that, mine is a beast, have backhoe, front snow blower. Only thing I hate is the seat, u have to turn it around to use backhoe, and dipstick. I have almost 600 hrs on mine

    • @ricsoutdoors7816
      @ricsoutdoors7816  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks Matt’s, I wish mine had a backhoe. Is it strong enough are you happy with the hydraulic power?

    • @matthutchinson3139
      @matthutchinson3139 2 роки тому

      @@ricsoutdoors7816 yes after I fixed the shims, dealer said the factory only puts 2 shims instead of the 4 that it calls for due to the fact that the normal owner wouldn’t know the difference. I would just get a three pt backhoe that has its own hydraulic tank. Mine digs well at 1800rpms. The only issue is that turning seat around every time u need to move or adjust is a very big pain in the ass. With a three point backhoe it will have its own stand alone seat. I live in WV next to Cumberland, so I have to dig in a lot of shale

      Great thanks for the advice. I was looking into a 3 point backhoe they are nice. Not cheap though.

      @@ricsoutdoors7816 I think you would find a cheaper backhoe attachment for your bigger tractor, than finding one for the max 26, I will keep a eye out down my way

    Hey RIC, good idea to lift the LOADED toat out back. The rear axle is three times stronger, and front loaders are at an extreme leverage disadvantage. A loader' s capacity is at best 1/3 of the base tractors weight ,without "Killing" the front axle. Quick-light & many loads will get the job done right. This rig of yours is "only" small tractor done right with all them gears (8×8), TWO brake pedals & a clutch. Just wish the loader had "bucket-linkage". Just a great tractor & vidio.

    • @ricsoutdoors7816
      @ricsoutdoors7816  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks Donald, yeah I’m very happy with this tractor and being a gear drive it will pull some big loads. Wish it had AG tires would really make a difference in traction. But the rear 3 point is very impressive with its lift capacity.

    Very Nice video of tractor. I got my in 2017, with front loader & mid mower 60" & box blade & just a blade both 60". Also if you ever need a step to help get on & off easier, go to the 1500 series (# 10443531AG0 STEP, Sub), there are holes for it on one part the other you have to drill, it's easy but it will not work with the mower attach to tractor. so for me when I take off my mower for winter , I install the step (it's really nice) & front loader & rear box blade for counter weight.

      The tractor is holding very well over all. The only problem currently is the pto broke. It’s currently at the dealership waiting for the new part. I’m going to make another video on it when I get it back but that problem is only on a few max 26 tractors. Luckily the warranty is covering it cause this is the second time.

      I don’t get why they do that. It’s not too bad as far as reach goes. But your arm does get tired if you are running long hours. Needs to be on the fender.

    I am looking at getting one of these tractors and one of the uses is going to be lifting IBC's of wood into a pickup truck. I was kind of sad to see it couldn't lift that, though it is overfilled a bit too... Have you tried lessening the load a little?... Just curious how much it will actually be able to lift.
    About the tires, we too have TONS of honey locust around here (long thorny trees) and I was thinking about getting some of the "tire shield sealant" or have them foam-filled. Did you do anything to your tires yet?

    • @ricsoutdoors7816
      @ricsoutdoors7816  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Damon, the tractor thus far has been great no issues at all. The lift capacity is 1400lbs I’m not sure how much the pallet forks weight they are heavy but for the tractor to lift the IBC tote I would have had to take at least the two top layers of wood off. So for me I’m fine with the 3 point being able to lift the tote. But even the next size up tractor which is the 1626. It only has one hundred pound more lift capacity 1500lbs. If you want to lift a filled IBC tote with the front loader get a 30+ HP tractor. As for the tires I did put this stuff called tireject tire sealant and so far I have not had any leaks. I bought it on Amazon. As for foam filled tires my old Kubota tractor had all 4 tires foam filled and they were very heavy like lead was in the tires and it road very rough. So if you are in rocky terrain I don’t recommend them they make your tires very hard and there is no give.
      Any more info let me know, thanks.

    Nice tractor
    And good video.
    Question, I was about to by this tractor on Friday. Everything was a go, and then the dealer called me in the afternoon and said the tractor I was. Up was a 2020 not a 2021 (they initially told me it was a 2021). Then they told me there was no difference in the 2021 vs the 2020, and that it is the same tractor.
    Do you know if there is a difference in the 2020 vs the 2021?

      Hi Adam. Mahindra doesn’t make big changes. Mostly cosmetics. The grill and headlights are different and the loader control stick is on the fender. But the max 26 is a very capable tractor. I think you will be very happy with it. I latest video I’m loading big logs with it definitely has nice hydraulic lift capacity. But if you have any questions let me know. Thank you.

    • @StartBuildingYourDreams

      Adam, not sure if you went through with your Max 26XLT purchase. Mines a 2019, and they really haven’t changed much over the years that I know of. Great little tractors all around! I just found Ric’s channel, and Kyle at K6 Outdoors has a 2019 or 2020 that’s basically identical engines, lift capacity. They upgraded the ergonomics and hood in 2019 but stuck with a reliable Mitsubishi common rail diesel. They’re still every bit as capable whether it’s a brand new one or a slightly used one! I believe the only other major change was when they stopped making the 28 XL due to EPA requirements for tier IV emissions to keep them at the 25HP level. So you get 25.9HP at the engine and 21HP at the PTO for a hydro. I tested a shuttle shift and it was like a rock crawler in low range, but ultimately went with the hydro. ~Jon@ SBYD!
