- Hey guys :) I hope you’re having a great day so far and welcome back to what’s for tea, I hope I find you all very well .
Quite a lot of you have asked for a ‘what I get from the supermarket’ or food shopping haul :) So I decided to pop up a wee video to show you a midweek shop :) This is the bulk of our food shopping but we’ll be back a couple of times during the week for other things we need or have forgot!

It’s interesting to see your haul and how different some items are. I love crumpets from Trader Joe’s. Oooh to find a great butcher here. The meats look great. Yummy Krispy cremes. Hope you feel better. Happy weekend. 😊💖

You poor little sausage! I'm sorry to hear you've a cold. I do hope you recover soon. I'm almost tempted to travel from Devon to Scotland just to visit that butchers! Lovely moggie! I do love cats. He's a boy, yes? I know female gingers are very rare. He does look very happy. :)
I can never walk past the pastry section in lidl. The croissants are my fave, especially first thing in the morning when they’ve just baked them! Yum 😊

lol, I hate bananas too but the grand kids love them so there are always some hanging around on the counter :( What a nice butcher store I am sure the quality is so good. Thanks for sharing, hope your cold clears up soon!

I really enjoyed watching your grocery haul...it’s neat to see how so many of your products are so similar but also so different from ours here is the US. Also..I guess it doesn’t matter where in the world you are..a Krispy Kreme is always fantastic 🍩
So enjoyed this video it's nice to see what other countries grocery stores have. Love the Krispie Kream doughnuts too yum, What a nice butcher shop too.

No Lidl here. Kroger, Meijer, Walmart, and Aldi. We also have a locally owned chain in Kentucky called Houchens. Hooray for a spoiled Jasper sighting! x

Oh I love watching grocery hauls I love seeing what other people buy, I always say I'm going to try lidl but then I always get an asda delivery only for the convenience, your butcher looks really nice X

Thanks for jogging my memory, a regular butcher. I never knew meat was sold any other way. Go in talk to the butcher, sometimes could watch cut off the cuts you wanted. To order sausage links. The first time I went into a chain supermarket, the cat had my tongue. Everything cut up and pre package. I still shop at the local green grocery and butcher when I can. Old habits die hard, lol.

A Lidl just opened not far from here. It's the first I've seen in our area. I will have to go check it out. Loved this video! Thumbs up as always xx

I wish we had Lidl market in Maryland - but we do have Aldi, and some of the larger supermarkets have a few British foods (like the Heinz beans). :) Thank you - i love your video. And the frozen jacket potatos are genius!

What's For Tea? Me too but...I don't put my toms in the fridge...I have them on my worktop...few weeks back...One of my cats for ill for five days...He had chewed the vine and it's poisonous...I didn't know that so if you have pets...beware
@@julieross5778 Hi Julie :) There's a ginger cat who lives with us :D But I always put my tomatoes in the fridge :) x
The bacon is beautiful. To me it looks like an ultra thin pork chop. The bacon here in the US is streaked with fat and comes in long strips. I could find a place for both kinds! Tesco does look like a super store Walmart.
We don't have an Aldi's here. I live in California. My stores of choice are Sprouts, Trader Joe's, WinCo, and sometimes Raley's.
Now isn't that funny I did some shopping in Lydl this morning and the bread counter is exactly the same as here in the Charente Maritime , one thing they would never dare sell peaches in May ( not in season ) there are some more differences but not a lot . When I go back to Glasgow I love Tesco for me it's such good value , come to France and see the very high prices for food whether it be in the supermarkets or le marche in the street . @@SparklyPrincessLynnette Yes me too :) There used to be a great wee fish monger in our town but it changed hands and isn't the same anymore :( The local baker is fab though x

I've just recently discovered it Lynette! We've been going to Aldi for years. Mr what's for tea (as you ken) works in Glasgow and always brings in their bakery rolls and pastries from the city centre shop....they smell amazing. So a few weeks ago I decided to give it a go for our food shop, and haven't looked back :) The quality and choice is much better! Might even be a bit cheaper too x
Butchers shop looked amazing I was looking at the beef with peppers in the window for a stir fry Going to chip shop now looking at all that food made me hungry

Never tried the aloe Vera juice and how can you hate bananas 😂😂 I don’t really like them but I eat them now and again when I, being healthy as they fill me up x
The aloe vera juice is lovely Lynette :) Super refreshing on a hot day (not that we have many :D) It has wee chunks of aloe vera in it. I only like the fruit flavoured ones....not the original. I've never liked bananas lol....unless they're in a pudding or cake :D x
What's For Tea? When I make a banoffee pie I take the banana out and call it offee pie! My husband says surely it’s toffee pie and I said no it’s banoffee without banana silly man it’s offee pie 😂😂
Hope you’re feeling better soon. I think Asda is actually the same company as Walmart. Those pastries in the front of one of the shops were expensive! I’m curious about that potato thing too (that looks like bubble and squeak).
Hiya Beverley :) The potato rosti was made for lunch with a little salad and sliced ham....it was wonderful!! It went super crisp on the outside whilst remaining soft and moist on the inside x
