Barry and Bill seem like such great people. Makes sense how they made Demolition so successful. We'll probably never see the likes of them again.

The look on that man’s face when recounting Jim Crockett’s reply; “That’s what you deserve - you ain’t getting anymore money.”, is painful. Glad he got to work with many of the best and then got out and moved on to better things. Great guy.

This brings back great memories, i remember once when i was in the Military and stationed in Georgia(And remember i was young and one of those who like Barry said believed that Ivan was really a Russian bad guy) and driving down I-95 and i passed a car and i looked over as most people do and who do i see but Ivan driving and Dusty Rhodes in the passenger seat, i nearly shit my pants and my perception of reality changed that day.................ahhhhhhhh good times lol

@@TitleMatchWrestling Demolition should be in the WWF Hall of Fame. The three most popular tag-teams of the 80's were the Hart Foundation, British Bulldogs, and Demolition.

  • @prettynoose8497

Why Demolition is not in the Hall of Fame is criminal!
*Best Tag Team Gimmick of all time
*Holds record for longest reign time with WWF Tag Belts
*Major feuds with main event legends Andre the Giant, Brett Hart, Road Warriors (LOD)
Cmon HHH, get these guys in there!!!

Maybe it's because WWF was all I could get on TV, as a kid, and I knew of Demolition before the Road Warriors, that I never saw them as inferior to the Road Warriors. As characters, wrestlers, and people Demolition were as good (or better) in my opinion.

It might be hard to find two guys to fit the bill but I wouldn't mind seeing a Demo 2016 team . I would hope they go with big burly power lifters as opposed to body builders . I wonder if the WWE and Demolition could get together on that ? Maybe have a Japanese Manager too ? Would be great .

Considering wcw had him on the payroll from like 95-99 as Blacktop Bully, Barry Darsow, Hole in one Darsow and Krusher Darsow on WCW worldwide & WCW Saturday Night, it seems to me like Barry got that money Crocket stolen back tenfold.
Smash was probably my favorite as kid though, i absolutely loved demolition growing up.

He's got his timeline competely wrong...He's claiming being angry at the pay after Sam Houston match (Starrcade 85) then quit...Well I guess he didnt wrestled rest of 1986.. He did the Bash 86 tour and Starrcade 86 with Ivan against Kansas Jayhawks...According to historyofwwe website he wrestled a Jan & Feb 1987 matches.

I get he got shafted on his money and never got the amount he expected but I don't know how that makes the promoter a thief. Maybe my definition of a thief is different but he never actually stole anything from him, he lied about the money he would make for a nights work. The promoter is a liar, not a thief. Either way he done the right thing and told him to ram his job at the company.
