He did my 1998 rm250 cylinder into a 265 kit and it dosnt even seem like the same bike his work made that much of a difference on it . Has tons a power now compared to befor and he will be doing my kx500 here soon to
thanks for sharing Robert! I was tempted to go little bigger but then decided to keep this build 250... how does 265 feel compare to 250? how about vibrations?
Dirt N Iron nothing more then normal but pulls like a freight train and I have some questions for you as well I love watching your channel and had some questions
Hey mate from Australia. I want to tell you how much i love watching your videos. I am looking really forward to seeing this yz250 build. I ride a 2019 yz450f and my 11 year old rides a 2015 yz85. We spend most weekends riding and a lot of time working on our bikes. Congratulations on your tremendous channel mate and and i wish you every success! Richard from Sydney Australia
Richard, thanks a lot for great comment, you made my day mate! Riding with your boy is the best thing ever, I bet thats the highlight of your week ;) it wont take long and your boy will kick your but!! I am so looking forward when I wont be able to keep up with my son, he is 9 now, we had crf110 last year but right now we are on the break, he lost interest a bit.. I believe he will be back soon. wish you all the best guys, stay in touch!
I used to do exactly the same on my CR 250..to detune it for slower trail and enduro use..worked great until I calculated the staggering costs..It was cheaper for me to sell the Honda get an older but great condition KTM big bore 2T and only have to play around with the head and compression and ignition timing add some flywheel weights and it's done..I now have a hill monster with at least twice the low down torque and mid range of a heavy 500 four stroke and still do over 100mph if need be..Its ALOT more tame now..less arm stretching and less ready to kill you when you give it just a little bit too much throttle like before..mission accomplished.
The cr250 is not a Ideal conversation bike. I was looking at getting a ktm xc/xcw and it was $1k cheaper to get a fairly fresh yz250 with some trail mods then to get a clapped out 04-06 ktm 250xc. But I'm sure location has a lot to do with it
He did a yz295 kit for me that I had on a snowbike kit. Holy hell did that thing scream! I had a 295 kit done by another guy and it ran like crap and detonated constantly.
Dirt N Iron Tom has built me RM265 best mod engine with vp u4.4 best for outdoor motocross other mods where done as well like cryo heat and micro polish complete engine and ceramic bearings put in the crankshaft main and trans a lot more but this was the best engine done from him pro Circuit doesn’t even come close
hello good video, what proportion of oil and gasoline do you use in the yz, I think the manufacturer indicates that you use too much, thanks in advance greetings
hello, i'm doing something similar but opposite, i have a yz 250x which i'm preparing for super enduro, as i needed more low end and engine inertia, i put in a 3.6 ounce flywheel that i made myself on the lathe, the bike improved a lot in strength at low speed, since it has more inertia, but being the "X" model we know that it has less compression, and since the engine is heavier when i accelerate, i find that it takes a long time to accelerate, I am less explosive, and for super enduro i need that explosiveness, which is why i am changing the cylinder head for a yz250 cylinder head. let's see if i can get a little more reaction when needed, do you think it will work? what is the difference by just changing the cylinder heads between yz250 and yz 250x?
thanks Justin! here is the shop tour and some bikes I had in my shop recently. Right now I am down to 3 bikes. ua-cam.com/video/l940QcMP0Tw/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/5mlWK-ZKuc8/v-deo.html
here you go bro: "The price to do the porting, head combustion chamber design and machining, exhaust valve cleaning, matching and servicing, and cylinder bore deglazing/honing is $398. This also includes my TMR tuning and tech info booklet and my cell # for tech assistance."
That a extremely port the hole brig gone Question is dose eny 1 know why he grounds to round exorst from the stock oval as i thought the oval shape was to smother And eny reson to the big squish gap on the pump?

Can anyone here help. I have a no brand big bore cylinder on my yz250. The piston say it’s size 71.94 which they don’t sell that size for Yamaha. You think a 71.95 will fit instead?
dear ones, this cylinder and the head, when assembling the engine in your hand, it will undoubtedly be an extremely excellent engine. I have no doubt . if you need a maozinha in the assembly and just call kkkkkkkkk. thanks my friends. congratulations
Tom did a couple of my bikes when I raced in pro class, buddy let me tell you my kaw screamed!!!!
Tom did a Yz134 for my son and it is awesome. Class act.. Thanks for the video, it's keeping me same durning this quarantine..

sounds good Albert, thanks for sharing! What bike did you end up buying and what are the mods you did? any links where we can see it? thanks!

I am very curious myself, cant wait to ride it!
So sweet! I’ll have to send my cylinder over to him after I go through this top end.
good idea Tim, go for it ;)
Planning on having tom do my yz for the race package
cool Tyler, she will be a ripper!!

Just wondering what horse power you started with, and what was it after the work was done ?
a hot rod crank in a TMR kitted engine... Dude1!! Like running budget tyres on your F430

That thing is gonna be a real weapon! You should do a gncc with it or something!
