This is why you never trust some clown online with vague walk-around videos to sell you a car. If they don't know everything about it and tell you so in the video, you could do a better job figuring out if its the car for you by answering the craigslist ad they bought it from yourself.
Beautiful car. Personally I would have gone with a black top... Maybe even White. And if you happened to be a pimp all you would really have to do is dip those rims in some 14 carat gold and you're all set.
Yes. There was a Series 62 (which is what the one in the video is) and there was an El Dorado convertible. El Dorado’s had different side trim, wreath crest on the quarters and horn button, upgraded interior trim, El Dorado lettering on the trunk, sometimes bucket seats, rear panel trim differences, and other differences. There was no DeVille convertible in 1963. Hope that helps.
@@michaelforte2232Thank you for your reply. I looked up the 1963 Eldorado convertible and I certainly see the difference from the car in this video! However now I am confused regarding the difference between a Series 62 and a DeVille. I’m thinking a Series 62 is a base model Cadillac akin to a Calais. And the DeVille is next up from that. Does the DeVille have a “Series” designation? And the Fleetwood Brougham is always the long wheelbase premium sedan. And is designed “Sixty Special”. Or am I way off?
I just love this color combination and wheels/tires on this outstanding looking Caddy! Thanks for sharing the video.
Beautiful Cadillac.

Series 62
Sorry to disappoint, but this car is NOT an El Dorado.
I thought the Eldorado has wood trim in the interior. This is a 62, base convertible.
That's what I was thinking/...
This is a Series 62 - not even a de Ville.
There were no DeVille convertibles in 1963. Convertibles were all Series 62 for 1963.
@@michaelforte2232 yeah and that music sucks for that car.

I would like a black one
Wunderschön mit dem roten Dach.
It isn’t so hard to see why this was the standard of the world at one point

Идеал автомобиля (кроме топлива).
un verdadero catafalco, fuera de la realidad.
1963 was the last of the big fin Caddies (1964 were smaller). Trade that rust colored top for a white or black version to make it classier.
From reading the comments I’m led to believe that Cadillac made more than 1 model as a convertible in 1963. Is this correct?

It’s not an Eldorado!
하이퍼카 안부럽네요..기가막히네요
Not an El Dorado. And no AC.
Wha a beauty ❤❤
Certainly don’t make them like this anymore!!! Sad
Not in that year, anyway.
Таких авто не было даже у партийных руководителей тогда.
Sorry. Not an Eldorado.
Hi Dean. I love Cadillacs and fairly knowledgeable but far from an expert. What makes you say it's not an Eldorado?
@@davidkastin4240 Because it does not say Eldorado on the trunk.. Easy to spot...
@@davidkastin4240 Because it is NOT an El Dorado. It isn't even a de Ville.
@@cruisie11 There's a lot more than that. Perhaps you should educate yourself a bit.
