We have a 2022 Rmax and love it but we just bought a Talon X-4 last spring, And I will say I wish the Rmax had the 6 speed that is in the YXZ. Because the transmission in the Talon is so nice and creates a better riding experience for me when switching between gears.
I have owned two YXZ's since they were first introduced back in 2016, the manual and sport shift versions. I needed to upgrade to a 4 seater and we looked hard at the new RMAX back in 2020. I could not convince my wife, she did not like the looks of it. I ended up with a 4 seater Polaris Turbo R and now the Pro S 4 seater. I have been very happy with both of them. I had 5800 miles on my Turbo R, and now 700 miles on the Pro S. No issues at all, and these machines FLY!!! Very stable and FAST. I think deep down I will always be a Yamaha guy, but for now Polaris has stole my heart with these Turbo's. Once you have one, you will never go back to a NA machine IMO.
Happy to see the great fit and finish in the interior! Leaps, bounds and ages ahead of the general. Maybe all these companies doing color displays and center screens will force Can-Am to actually put the effort into matching them. Competition is a great thing! Only thing I didn’t like about the rmax is the upright seating position with the short height doors, really made me feel like you were sitting on the machine instead of in it. Aside from that really liked it

@@MyersRacingChannel The engine is definitely moved back in comparison to the RMAX4 Compact. This was not a ride event so I can't comment on NVH, but something I will pay closer attention to as we get more seat time in this machine.
The answers all the problems with the original now compact rmax 4. We had one and reviewed it thoroughly a couple of years ago. we ultimately got rid of it due to the poor rear suspenion in our opinion. We absolutely loved the machine for its power , front end looks and front seat interior automotive like quality. That being said the rear seats over the rear axle made the ride quality for the rear passengers pretty brutal, my kids always complained how much they were thrown around back there. even without rear passengers the limited rear suspension travel due to the design was obvious. this new model is the ticket. You do sacrifice space in garage with the added length but the ride quality and better suspension is well worth it IMO plus its still not as long as other 4 seat models from the competition and cant beat the quality from this Yamaha. Aside from the center engine design which does make it a bit difficult to service this machine is a winner and if we ever add a sxs to the stable again this will be the one.
I like the looks. The only problem I have and it’s more me is it’s to wide for some trails on that are on the state forest. They are a 64 inch max width. That’s in PA.
