Can we get a video evaluating the condition of the skid plates? They all took some hits, I’m curious to see the difference between the plastic and metal skids.
Easy answer from experience, metal or aluminum bend and stay bent, the junk aluminum skids on my pioneer are bent up and vibrate off of the motor. My thick UHMW on my Talon are just as straight as when I installed them, just have a bunch of gouges. 4500 hard miles on both machines, I’ll never do steel or aluminum again.
Absolutely love that type of riding and content, and from a Can Am guy, that R-Max absolutely killed it, best looking on the rough stuff for sure. Great work guys!!
I absolutely love this content guys. Way more realistic riding compared to wide open trails in insane machines doing 100 mph lol loved this video. You guys are crushing it. Haven't missed a single episode since 2017, keep it up guys
Love HMT! Bearwallow always has a soft spot in my heart! It'll always be one of my favs, I'm a fan of Rock House as well. Can't wait to head back there in April with my RMAX!! Everyone needs to go here at least once!
Thank you guys for the good words about WV.....they're aren't many good words to be said, but you guys are always great.....have a great time and hope someday we can rip together.....have a blast and be careful
Heck yeah dude! As BrokenWillBrute mentioned below, could've watched this for hours. Great job guys. Still need to see you guys in a KRX or KRX 4, especially doing this kind of stuff I think your minds would be blown! That could actually be one of your next feature builds, blown KRX with a KraftWerks supercharger. Won't be a Beast Mode but with all the capability of the KRX suspension plus a decent amount of horsepower.........who knows? Keep up the great work guys and as always, can't wait for the next vid to drop.
I absolutely love how everyone who does entertaining and fun things with off road vehicles for fun on UA-cam are pretty tipsy but never shows it because UA-cam doesn't want to show reality. Leo, this was a fantastic edit. Props. Another edit: Doug, your hair is ridiculously great. Sous, I love you, you're always wonderful.
Awesome love the hatfield mccoy trail systems! The Buffalo mountain Rockhouse and Devil Anse is super fun system too. Rockhouse has nasty rocky hillclimbs. Thanks for the footage
Best video I prefer this over extreme turbo machines that break at cost you guys so much money. Thank you did a great job showing what these sxs can do...huge market 😊
I honestly think when you guys do these trips id like 45 or 50min videos to get more of the riding experience from you guys but great stuff guys keep it uppp!
This video could've been an hour and a half long, and I'd still be watching. Great content my guys. Love seeing these units getting put to work on trails I'm more likely to ride when i go
Love it !!! That is the kind of riding I’m used too . Those machines will do things that will shock even you guys !! Stop racing everywhere and do more wheeling !!!!
We went to Bear Wallow for a second time in April. This is my favorite system so far. We’ve been on Buffalo Mountain, Devil Anse, Rock House, Pocahontas, Indian Ridge, and just a little bit of Pinnacle Creek. It’s been fun watching this video a second time. The crawling is excellent! I’m getting an RMax 2 LE in a week or two and my 900S will be traded in after 5 years of faithful service.
Love Bear Wallow. Seen you were staying at Rivers Edge. We stay with them every time we go to Hatfield. Keno is an amazing host. Hope you continue to have a blast!
LOVE THIS CONTENT!!!! I am soooooooo glad you branched to sport rec! I like the turbos but will never buy one, this is content I can relate to!! MORE PLEASE!
This video brought back some good memories. We did a ride on little run that was probably 5 miles long and took about 3 hrs on 4 wheelers and one Yamaha fat cat here in Western Pa. Same terrain maybe not as steep. Great video guys it was fun to watch
We bought our Talons in 19 and broke them in on these trails. 95% of our riding is in the mountains of WV. You guys should visit more of the trail system they have to offer . Also try the Outlaw trails .
Honestly love these kinds of videos. The huge power, lots is suspension top of the line machines are cool, but these are more relatable! Plus they offer a different set of challenges, and you’re just highlighting the fact you can buy a stock machine and have fun, showing how capable they are stock! Keep it up!
I'm also a Michigan Man, I have only been riding one time in WV! What a different riding experience, was there for 4 day's, went on a poker run with a bunch of locals in the rain, I was on a 00" CR125 .. Those creek crossings become very interesting when the rain is coming down the Mountains!! I stalled and water log my bike in one of them, knew I was in trouble when the front fender went under water!! Pulled the plug, kicked it for about 10 minutes and she fired up, made the whole run!! What a blast, great place to ride, great people! Would love to make it back on the SXS!
The Rmax2 is a BA over super technical rock crawling. Never been stuck in ours. Camp 5 in the Black hills was a piece of cake. Iron range in Gilbert mn was easy too. There's a reason why it's named the Mtn goat.
as a west virginia resident, these are great trails, but the local trails around me in the northern panhandle, are top notch, you guys should try them out sometime
I believe I’m correct in saying this and all those machines still have the front sway bar attached. Personally, I believe you guys would have a way more enjoyable time with the sway bars removed from the front. It allows you to get better articulation and grip over the bigger rocks a little easier. I’m sure somebody will crack me.
We used to camp at and ride from The Wagon Wheel. I can tell you there is some seriously great riding in that area and some stuff that will have you praying to God just to get you out of it. When you were done with the mountains you could come back and ride the stairsteps. Miss those days for sure.
Its crazy because these type of trails is almost every trail in AZ, so I can see how yall are a little skeptical on obstacles ( which are super normal for me) however I'd be in the same boat if I was in the dunes lol... so its cool to see other perspectives of other riders! Great vid buds
I love how you guys run around and beat on top level machines on a regular basis, but then you get in these stock utility machines and can still have a great time.
Welcome to WV. next year you should do a tour of the coalfields and ride each system 1 day each for a week. Also, those Blacks and Double Blacks are meant to go up!! lol. Hope you guys had a blast!
Hi from Arizona. I love this content. I thought the music matched to video just fine. Big thumbs up. Hey, put some sand paddles on the UDRs and go snow racing in Michigan. We'd love to see that.
Lol right when Sous was going down the hill I was wondering what that sounds was and immediately Leo explained it was the secondary clutch. Kind felt like he read my mind.
Crazy to experience the different geology, this is normal riding to me and my friends, where you guys are amazed by it. Interesting to see the difference in skill sets. Glad you guys had fun, I would love to take you guys on a ride down my way sometime!
Hey guys! As an RMAX2 owner, I knew that 4 seater would do very well with 2 inch smaller tires in that terrain! I had a 2018 2 seater general and put 200 miles on it. 4 FREAKING belts later, I traded it for the LE. Best decision ever. I would love to have a Turbo ride, but the Rmax does everything I ask out of it with no belt or any other issues. I'm super stoked you guys had fun in WV. Some buds and I are heading to Durhamtown soon. 😇 Take care, 10.
Funny thing is, there are 1000 of general owners who dont have your problems. Thus, the issue most likely is unique to your experience. Yamaha has a great clutch set up, but as per usual they also are very slow an ultra conservative in their platforms.
@M K they are just as fast as a general, and the build quality is superior. I know because I've owned both. My general liked to eat belts. Over 4000 miles on my rmax2 with 0 issues
@@paulross468 Translation, You dont know or understand how to maintain the CVT so you just run thru belts and buy a WHOLE new machine that just so happens to not have a problem at the moment but when it does you will buy another machine to fix it. The dumbest thing i have ever seen anyone do.
Finally!!! A video the common sxs rider can relate with! I unsubscribed a couple years ago because the channel just got to ridiculous. I’m considering coming back if they keep the relatable content up 👍
Boy I didn't think those machines was that capable for that kind of trails. What is up with no driving to places videos. You guys are funny on those road trips. Keep up the great videos.
that commander looks like it could eat those trails up all day. those A arms and suspension are BEEFY. those type of trails are a BLAST. The black hills have a lot of steep rocky trails like this. They are scary at first until you realize just how capable these machines really are. I have done many trails this rough or worse with my 2013 commander 1000. its not built anything like these newer rigs, but it can go up just about anything . i'm gonna buy a 2024 RZR ultimate in about a week and i'm so jacked to have a new rig!
Them are some awesome machine guys you come up to Virginia to Giles county we have forty miles of trails on a side of a mountain the resort is called Kairos resort
I came here to get a good test and review of the Commander Max XTP. I’m convinced it would be a great rig. But mostly I miss the old crew. He said…she said IDK but it’s a shame.
Awesome video guys. One thing if possible can we hear the machines working on the trail instead of music? I dont make videos but do enjoy the sound of machines. Thanks
THAT WAS PRETTY COOL, YOU WENT FROM WINTER WITH 10 INCHES OF SNOW. IT LOOKS LIKE SPRING WITH 80 DEGREASE WEATHER. MAN THOSE SIDE-BY-SIDES LOOK LIKE SO MUCH FUN.
Those machines need a lower solid protection arm onder the lower ball joint mount to wheel which is solid to the frame work , which can be bent and pulled out and chanded later ... or spring mounted for hard hits on a slide . Like telescopic .... surround the mechanism of the bar work to wheels ... a sacrificial modulating part which can be changed out or on the fky hsmmered out
Remember the KRX1000 you guys talked shit about because it was not a turbo machine, that’s where that machine shines. Glad to see the content grow.
It’s nice to hear people talking good about our beautiful state for a change!
Love it down there!
Black diamond Valley Lanes arcade card... High score on the punching bag game?? Love that place...
I live about an hour from these trails and have never been. I didn't know all this was there lol
Can we get a video evaluating the condition of the skid plates? They all took some hits, I’m curious to see the difference between the plastic and metal skids.

My thick UHMW on my Talon are just as straight as when I installed them, just have a bunch of gouges. 4500 hard miles on both machines, I’ll never do steel or aluminum again.
Physics has the answer, the thick plastic slide across, as thin or thick metal just bends and cracks.
Love hearing the positivity about the great riding in WV.
Absolutely love that type of riding and content, and from a Can Am guy, that R-Max absolutely killed it, best looking on the rough stuff for sure. Great work guys!!

They had a krx when they came out. Doesn’t fit what they like. They said it was good in the rough stuff though.

We took a vacation to hatfield macoy trails a couple years ago. It was alot of fun
Excellent video. Way more relatable to us average joe trail riders, instead of the big turbo go fast cars in straight lines.

It would've been neat to see those rigs attempt going up either of those trails.
I came to see if anyone called that out. Going down a double black is way different than going up.
That’s the type of riding we do in WV every weekend! The whole state is full of trails like these and better!
Awesome video! West Virginia is definitely on the bucket list of places to ride outside of Michigan.
The Yamaha comes down that hill all smooth and quiet and then the can am comes down like click click click squeeeaak squeak 😂
Being from WV, Bearwallow is one of my favorite trailhead systems
Keep up the hard work and the machines handled great. Look forward to the day 2 video, Stay safe everybody.
I rode the Hatfield McCoy trails down there in West Virginia in 2007 with my dad and my brother that was the best trip over.
I love when Sous uses his 99 Ruescape magic to teleport!
