Can’t wait to receive my LE. This long wheelbase version has everything I have been waiting for Yamaha to include. When it was unveiled I was like…well here is my money. Lol.
The San Rafael Swell is one of my favorite areas to explore. Staging from the town of Green River, there are far fewer tourists in that area compared with Moab. Looks you had a great trip with a fun machine.
Been out west for over 10 years, met lots of offroad enthusiasts of all sorts, not one of them ever referred to an open differential as a "1 wheel drive". When both wheels are moving the same speed they both get power.
Too loud is the second biggest flaw. Biggest flaw? Pricing is rather extreme especially here in Canada. I can afford one but would rather spend that amount of money elsewhere. When I started wheeling, not a SXS in sight. Now the vast majority are SXS. I sold a fully enclosed factory heated SXS to go back to a quad. No regrets. I bought the SXS just before Covid and sold it back to the dealer 3 years later for what I paid for it. Then bought a Grizzly 700. Again no regrets. I’m thinking with these prices you may see a quad resurgence. Time will tell. Great video, thanks.
@@garybrown9062 I have a pioneer 1000 and it’s loud, and every other side by side I’ve ever been on was loud enough that hearing loss could be caused by prolonged use.
@@Commentleaver-c6x I’d much prefer the power of a 1000 but not at the sacrifice of the quiet cab of the 850. I know about hearing problems as I’ve ridden motorcycles well over 50 years and never even considered earplugs until about 20 years ago. Damage done but I still believe if enough of us complained they would fix it. After all the Can-Am 800 and 850 Wolverine have proven it can be done. It will always be a factor in my purchase of a SXS.
Nice unit - just not sure why they wouldn't put the 998 Turbo in it - sounds awesome - tons of power - works great! this motor is noisy - no growl - no likey:)
You reviewed a LE in this video. I have one and want to order that rear sliding glass. Is this the same one that fits the RMAX2?? Yamaha hasn't updated everything on the website. Could I possibly get a part number?
@SPACE-IS-FAKE-777 we take em wherever they go and there's way more places they can go than we'll ever see and we can go almost year round in comfort, rain, snow heat, dust. You couldn't give me an open one. And jeeps and trucks beat you to death, no thanks. Glad there's options for everyone.

All side by sides are loud. If a person cares about their hearing they’d be well suited to use hearing protection when riding any of them.
The 850 is so quiet you don’t need to raise your voice for a conversation.

@@garybrown9062 yeah I think intrinsically it’s a problem because you’re sitting right on top the engine on side by sides.

Great video
Thank you for the review. How long before they offer the same 3K rebate as the other models?
How does this compare to the Kawasaki 1000 4 seater?
What a view indeed my friend, should also remind the viewers don’t stuck your hands or feet outside the vehicle if you roll the side by side 😅😝🤕
Not a word about power or speed
Because there isn't any. Lol
I think it'll look great parked next to my Viking in the garage..
I bought the YXZ because it sounds awesome, while the Rmax is just LOUD. You'd think Yamaha could make an Rmax sound like a T7.
I want one next time I buy a new unit. I’m hoping this pushes Polaris to revamp the General.
How long is it?
Engine and gearbox?

sorry, we wouldn’t know
The RMAX 4 Long's rear windshield options will be unique to that model despite many of the other RMAX2 accessories being able to fit it.
Does it have an enclosed cab, heat, air cond.? No? not interested at all
No it does not
Buy a truck or jeep if you want a cab and hvac
@ can’t take those on the trails

@@outfitr9703 I was talking about trucks and jeeps when I said you can’t take them on trails. I’m talking about Pennsylvania trails in the woods.
Gutless and loud. Do better, yamaha. And yes, I'm a yamaha fan.
