I dont have a single thing you guys play with -> no side by sides, no snowmobiles, not much of anything anymore but a motorcycle... BUT I love the fun you guys have and how much you all laugh with and at each other. I drag my girlfriend and others into watching some of your antics. Just wanted to say THANK YOU.
Been watching you guys from the beginning. Gotta say, you’re doing a better job every time with machine comparisons. Trying to choose a sxs is very difficult since there are no ways of actually test driving one. Im sure your video’s are helping a lot of people. Keep it up guys👍
All the manufacturers actually have demo rides throughout the country where you can if fact test the units on the trail. Usually they'll coincide with off road events. Also keep in mind that not everyone that wants to test a unit is a responsible adult and have the car rental mentality.
Only place that let me drive one were the owners of a dealership I personally knew. I got my ass chewed for firing one up at a big dealer in Madison. I asked why they leave the key in them then?
I own the RMax 4 seater, after seeing this, I'd still pick it. Easiest to flick around in the tighter trails and switchbacks on the mountains. I run it with the front swaybar disconnected.
Love my Rmax4-dunes, rocks, mud, altitude...she eats, and does it comfortably. Installing a better sparky made a noticeable difference in power and temps. Yamaha loves to cork up a motor. R Max is set up for trails, not short course, and that's what I bought it for. Short wheel base is important for a trail machine, and big power isn't worth lesser reliability, when you're back country solo. I pulled the rear seats, and a 30" spare lays nice and flat in the bed, keeping weight low, with plenty of room left over for backcountry camping excursions. A little dynamat under the engine lid helps w noise & heat. Coming from a '21 YXZ SS SE, the R Max is the trail King! The YXZ was happiest in sand, or at Tex Plex. I carry a spare, not belts. :)
When I was shopping for my sxs, we looked hard at the build quality and general beefiness on the components, especially the suspension and steering. The rmax was leagues ahead of the others in that regard. Of course, that was just looks and not on trail but that rmax looked to be built like a tank.
I got the UA-cam notification after waking up from a night out with the boys and thought this was finally the snowmobile content we’ve all been waiting for! Come on guys we’ve all been dying to see this retro sled content, MAKE IT HAPPEN ASAP!!
Looks like everyone also apparently missed the Snowmobile content they already made with NO snow! Sleds go on dirt and water too guys and they’re antics are just as fun to watch withOut the snow. There’s always one negative Nancy in the peanut gallery with a comment 🙄
I think a lot of what happened with the R-Max is the tires. Extra traction showed the body roll (however I did see the canam 3 wheel around the tree). Tires are probably the reason it made less power on the dyno
I really liked when you test drove, riding together, on trails with live commentary in the past. Hilarious and informative at the same time. Also interaction live with significant others when trail riding. Enjoyed this one, would've liked to have all of you hot mixed, riders and observers
After riding and working on all three of these machines I know own an rmax The rmax’s has always been the ones ridin the hardest in my group and always the one pulling the others back to the trailer. They for sure aren’t the best for jumping out of the box tho with some minor suspensions adjustments they aren’t bad tho.
Can't believe it is going on 7 years I've been subscribed! I wish it was financially possible for you guys to test these machines in multiple locations across the US. People in the east would HATE the length of the commander, but people out west would HATE the handling of the RMAX at speeds. I just sold my 17' X3, still have the unbreakable teryx4. Looking to upgrade to the RMAX4!
Having driven and or have rode in an rmax4 limited and a 2 seat commander xtp, personally for me I felt that it was more comfortable and way quieter and with the commander the fast you go the better the ride is like I did 50 mph down a relatively rough trail and was super comfortable, and one neat the about the commander at least the two seat is that both bed sides come off leaving you with a location for a spare belt and tool on one side and I believe a set of jumper cables on the other.
Watching old videos I WISH y’all go back to them days with beast mode, battle tracks, blue OX and mud life I miss the original videos it’s not the same.
That pre-1994 Polaris wind breaker on Nick is absolutely priceless and worth a Grammy award. But we def need some 110 sending it in early 2023. Butterfield hook us up with some 2JP eargasms
I believe the can am is the most quiet because it’s pulling power when the tires are spinning. Can am defenders and commanders have shaft saver mode when the tires are spinning. Even tho your pedal is at 100% the computer will close the throttle valve to 50% to pull power if excessive spin is sensed.
I love my Rmax sideways! Dirt mud snow, doesn't matter. Its got a lot of sway bar and rotates controllably. I just don't think I could have as much fun in the limousines
I have an RMAX4 1000 and wouldn’t trade it for anything but I also wouldn’t jump it with the stock suspension setup. The rear end kicks up way to hard on them possibly because it was meant for 4 people plus cargo. I actually almost front flipped mine hitting a bridge that was far steeper than I realized doing 30 mph. I’m told by 2 seater owners that they are much better jumpers and launch much more evenly. I’m also told changing the suspension setup increases the cornering and jumping ability significantly but that’s not the point of this test. I think they feel top heavy because you are sitting up so high, but once you get confident with pushing them and realize it’s not tipping over you really can toss them around corners. I can tell you I’d never even consider trying to fit either of those stretch limos down the trails. The RMAX4 is almost the same length and weight as the 2 seater.
I know your content is mostly SxS and I love the content, but I am a die hard 90s sled guy and man I have been really keeping my eye open for another video to pop up
I would really really love to see a video where you show us every single machine you own. Take us back to Doug’s old House, show us around a little. I’m sure a lot of us are wondering whether you still have some of these old machines like the 4 seat wildcat, 4 seat commander, Machines like that that you used to have in your old videos. We care about you guys. We want to see what’s going on. Thanks PS, Doug is my favorite😉
Great channel guys. Had a 2023 XTP 2 seater up in Roscommon for its first ride this past week. Love everything about the machine and agree with your take
I would love to see a Pioneer 1000 vs that Rmax, I've spent a lot of time in the Honda seat and would like to see what you guys think of it. Either way, love the content!
I love these videos the adventure overland riding for me is what I love to do ..I have a 4 seat talon and me and my family always have fun ripping it through the trails
Love the content! Great job editing. Excellent decision to have Frankie drive for lap times and Sous to jump the machines. Love the honest reactions and thoughts! I have a 2019 Can-am Maverick Sport DPS 1000R and enjoy the Sport/Utility comparisons. Based on this video, I would choose the General. I think my heart still lies in the true Sport class with my Maverick Sport 1kR.
Are you going to compare the units in the Utility side of things, all we have seen is drag racing, track times, and jumping! I think the buyers of the machines would like to see towing capability, load capacity, which bed raises easier with a load.
I have been riding quads for years and have recently been considering the move to SXS and the general seems like it would handle the woods the best! Can't wait to see what else you guys do with them!
As someone who came from yamaha, to a maverick sport, then a x3 rr, I get what they are saying. When pushed, the can am (sport/commander) kind of all work together. It's limits are accessible. They interior is dated and to be honest, so is the x3's. Love these videos. Thanks guys.
"...considering the people we have here and the driving aggressiveness of the person driving..." *camera immediately zooms in on Frank, who smiles wickedly* - lol Also, I still want Franks jacket. I wish they still made it.
As a great and growing channel, I would leave politics off of it. The country is divided and you don't want a huge portion of the population to stop watching.
Keep up the great work and fire content! Y’all need to fully cab enclose the general hell maybe all three units and compare what upgrades you can get from the factory, put AC, Heat, power windows etc! Do it
Trail conditions are perfect finally in upper mi hope yall get your sleds rippin soon cant wait to see them all get some air!!! This was awesome ...Id chose any of them cause any is better then what i own lol
Thanks so much for getting into the Sport-Recreational segment, really enjoying that content, and pertains to possibly more real-world buyers who like the idea of sport, but justify the purpose based on work. Please, do include the Commander 2-seat that you have, as a foil for the 4-seat, to compare the chassis length, weight, and price (and XT-P upgrades) to give a bit of context for price point and 2-seat vs. 4-seat context. You guys still have a 2 seat Polaris General XP1000, also, right? I have been personally interested in RMAX, and test driven one so it is interesting to see how they compare. I REALLY wish there were a model between Honda Talon and Pioneer 1000-5 with iAWD and DCT, and turf-mode rear diff. Been watching every video since Doug's Garage era, thanks for all that you guys do and let us come along with you.
Wonder if the different AWD/4WD systems have more to do with handling in corners vs the tires? A locked front will push a lot more than an open if taking corners 'easy'.
So! This is my experience. My 17g4 I had I had all 4 tires that were pro armor XG and my new g4 xp has those same tires as yours. They say those pro armor tires on the front are to help steer but made it way worse. They just push in my opinion. Get xg tires in the front and it’ll make a big difference. I can turn on a dime with them all the same.
The long wheelbase of Can Am and Polaris is better for the things you have done so far. I own a RMAX 2 and it is extremely capable. If I was going 4 seat I would probably choose the new KRX 1000. I just watch too many smoking belts of Polaris machines, but +Can Am seems to make a solid rig.
Based on this video... which one are you choosing? Comment below
Do a John Deer
About time. I was about to call uncle chet and tell him yall be slackin.
Frank's gloves!!!
I’d go commander and add the sound system of my choice
General
Those retro snowmobile jackets are priceless.
Kinda want one now 😂
KINDA!?!?! I been looking online haha
I dont have a single thing you guys play with -> no side by sides, no snowmobiles, not much of anything anymore but a motorcycle... Pretty wild you can test drive any piece of junk $3000 car but you spend $30000 on a sxs and you can’t even start it up before buying lol
@@SXSBlogthat’s BS!!!!!

Englehardts?
Controversial gloves? Best damn president ever!
I own the RMax 4 seater, after seeing this, I'd still pick it. Easiest to flick around in the tighter trails and switchbacks on the mountains. I run it with the front swaybar disconnected.
I also have rmax4 and would still pick it for the tight woods trails where I live .
You dudes killed this review, I really hope it keeps going like this every couple years or so. Great job!
Love my Rmax4-dunes, rocks, mud, altitude...she eats, and does it comfortably. Installing a better sparky made a noticeable difference in power and temps. Yamaha loves to cork up a motor. Can’t wait for more snowmobile content, but there’s just no damn snow lol
Gotta wait for the snow before they can make SNOWmobile content
If there’s no snow how you gonna use a SNOWmobile🤣
Apparently no one heard how they are heading to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where there IS snow?! Guess some people don’t pay attention 😂
Looks like everyone also apparently missed the Snowmobile content they already made with NO snow! Sleds go on dirt and water too guys and they’re antics are just as fun to watch withOut the snow. There’s always one negative Nancy in the peanut gallery with a comment 🙄
I thought this was a snowmobile channel. Unreal!
😠
SXS stands for Snowmobile X Snow sooooo there’s that🤷🏻♂️🤣🤣
I think a lot of what happened with the R-Max is the tires. Extra traction showed the body roll (however I did see the canam 3 wheel around the tree). Tires are probably the reason it made less power on the dyno
Yup 100% witch they should of considered in the comparison.
Super stoked to see your guys opinions! Definitely surprised to see how close they are
I really liked when you test drove, riding together, on trails with live commentary in the past. Hilarious and informative at the same time. Also interaction live with significant others when trail riding. Enjoyed this one, would've liked to have all of you hot mixed, riders and observers

Glad to see you breaking them in gently😂 Great content and fun, thanks!

Bunch of big kids having fun. Love it.

You just got me back on your channel with these machine!!exited to see the comparaison. Looking to buy a Rmax
I’ve driven all three of these machines out on trails in same weekend I felt like the Yamaha definitely had the most throttle pop.
Good ol fashioned Blog content 👌
150 miles in a day = Commander
I think for a utility SXS the ease of getting in and truck like seating is a plus. If you want a sport ride, there a dozens of machines for that.
I agree you have to test with stock tires. It would also be interesting to see this done again with matching tires on all three machines.
That pre-1994 Polaris wind breaker on Nick is absolutely priceless and worth a Grammy award. But we def need some 110 sending it in early 2023. Butterfield hook us up with some 2JP eargasms
I’m so glad you guys are doing thorough reviews tho! Literally why I first came to this channel! Love these videos more then anything else!
Beautiful gloves frank!!
Wow at the 16min mark the music got real funky!!! Love it, Keep up the good work boys!!
I so enjoy the content here guys!!! Thank you!
Please take these machines in tight trails in the woods!!
Im so excited to see whats next with these machines! You guys are doing an amazing job already!
Can't wait to see the trail/off road comparison with these
I believe the can am is the most quiet because it’s pulling power when the tires are spinning. Can am defenders and commanders have shaft saver mode when the tires are spinning. Awesome guy's looks like fun felt the jumps LOL can't wait for the sleds Take Off EH!! 🙂
I think the track should still be called the Dougburgring. 👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸
This is literally all but a half hour of Frankie and Sous trying to make each other say uncle 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love my Rmax sideways! Dirt mud snow, doesn't matter. Its got a lot of sway bar and rotates controllably. I just don't think I could have as much fun in the limousines
Can't wait for the orienteering videos. They've always been some of the most interesting and addicting videos you guys have made
I have an RMAX4 1000 and wouldn’t trade it for anything but I also wouldn’t jump it with the stock suspension setup. I'd honestly take the rmax and do a bit of suspension work I like the rear setup more than the other two
I'm just here for the music...that jump sequence music cracked me up...but I loved it!
I know your content is mostly SxS and I love the content, but I am a die hard 90s sled guy and man I have been really keeping my eye open for another video to pop up
Take the machines to drummond island! The turning radius on the rmax is untouchable… do some technical trails!
You really need to put it to the test. The rmax will smoke the other two machines in rock crawling esp if you have the d mode switch
Which one of these 3 will still be purring like new in 10 years? Of course the Yamaha…….nuff said
I love the energy yall have when your rippin these rigs it just makes my day better!
I would really really love to see a video where you show us every single machine you own. Take us back to Doug’s old House, show us around a little. Nice, way to start my Saturday!
Sweet Saturday surprise! Thanks guys!
I do enjoy the sound of the highway in the background. It's a familiar link between the old and new shop.
Lolol dude right?
Great channel guys. Had a 2023 XTP 2 seater up in Roscommon for its first ride this past week. Love everything about the machine and agree with your take
I would love to see a Pioneer 1000 vs that Rmax, I've spent a lot of time in the Honda seat and would like to see what you guys think of it. Either way, love the content!
Rmax destroys pioneer
I love these videos the adventure overland riding for me is what I love to do ..I have a 4 seat talon and me and my family always have fun ripping it through the trails

SXSBlog y'all rock! Peace
It would be cool to do this same kind of thing with some 50” trail machines.
Are you going to compare the units in the Utility side of things, all we have seen is drag racing, track times, and jumping! I think the buyers of the machines would like to see towing capability, load capacity, which bed raises easier with a load.
General barely over the commander. Mostly because I'm not a fan of touching shoulders while trying to drive.
I am partial to the elbow room in the Generals and I like the seating position.
I have been riding quads for years and have recently been considering the move to SXS and the general seems like it would handle the woods the best! Can't wait to see what else you guys do with them!
I dig it. I’d choose the Rmax for the short wheel base for a 4 seater sxs.
Gonna have to go with the Rmax cause.. it's not a Polaris
Might have to dig out my old Joe Rocket coat. I wore that thing through a Mountain max 600, 98 rmk 700 and back to a modded Srx Mountain max.
As someone who came from yamaha, to a maverick sport, then a x3 rr, I get what they are saying. When pushed, the can am (sport/commander) kind of all work together. It's limits are accessible. They interior is dated and to be honest, so is the x3's. Love these videos. Thanks guys.
You fellas are living the best life well done
"...considering the people we have here and the driving aggressiveness of the person driving..." *camera immediately zooms in on Frank, who smiles wickedly* - lol
Also, I still want Franks jacket. I wish they still made it.
Best product fly has ever made .
150 miles with 4 passengers, as in a family of 4. You will appreciate the extra room in the general.
Where can I find a part of those gloves? They are the best.
Love seeing this comparison
As a great and growing channel, I would leave politics off of it. The country is divided and you don't want a huge portion of the population to stop watching.
What happened with rich rules
He made a UA-cam channel. Rich Rules. No explanation yet
General for sure! Between The technology and the machine itself, it’s got the edge out of the box!
Wheel base makes a huge difference in handling… comparing is tuff..
Love my rmax for mountain trail riding I think it’s all your riding style.
Keep up the great work and fire content! Y’all need to fully cab enclose the general hell maybe all three units and compare what upgrades you can get from the factory, put AC, Heat, power windows etc! Do it
I can't wait to see all the mods that you guys will throw on those units.
Hell yes love the videos man y’all are great wish I could ride with y’all!!
The gloves are as mint as the vintage coats. 👌
Trail conditions are perfect finally in upper mi hope yall get your sleds rippin soon cant wait to see them all get some air!!! This was awesome ...Id chose any of them cause any is better then what i own lol
Those jackets are killing me. Freaking awesome!
only channel i look foward to see post from, love ya guys be safe and keep doing amazing videos and they put a smile on our faces
Love Franky's gloves. That guy knows what's up.
been loving these early uploads boys

We are looking at the general & rmax. Would have been nice to here views on cab heat and noise levels. Leaning towards the general!
omg the snowmobile coats....lol love it
Hey, where could I get a set of Franks Trump gloves?! 😂😂😂
7:24 When you try to help but make things worse. 😂
When you leave the jump don't left off the Gas stay in it it will help a little with the front end diving
Oh ya he’s in the gas listen to it
Those snowmobile jackets are like the retro 80s windbreakers keep rockin them
"Two beefy Americans" almost made sure that my monitor was wearing coffee.
Wonder if the different AWD/4WD systems have more to do with handling in corners vs the tires? A locked front will push a lot more than an open if taking corners 'easy'.

Where's Rick
He made a UA-cam channel. Rich Rules. No explanation yet
Love the gloves, and love the video, and love the Commander.
Blablabla... i miss Rick. Btw, love this channel ✌️

Can’t wait for the snowmobile videos
Great gloves haha never seen those before cool.
You guys should do a 3k sport quad shoot out after this and the snowmobiles that would be pretty cool
