I like your editing skills on the videos, very fun add. Sorry for the unluck with the box, I had 3 Surge Foils in my boxes plus the chase cards in borderless foiled eg orcist bowmaster. Giftbundle found 1 the one ring in 3 boxes plus a Surge Foil. Keep one GB unsealed. A great set that I think will keep value if not a The Hobbit set will arrive 😊
Thank you so much! I greatly appreciate it! And congratulations on your great pulls; those are pretty crazy pulls! I was hoping for a bowmaster but not all boxes are winners lol
Thank you very much! Yeah I mean if you really want to open one because you like opening packs that's cool, but there is a very very good chance you'll end up with ~$200 of stuff based on my experience and what I've seen others open.
If the prices weren't so high would this set still be sought out? It seems like the MTG community is bashing this set solely because of the hype and inflated prices behind it 🤔
That's a good question and I think there is a multifaceted answer. There has been a lot of unhappiness around Universes Beyond (IP outside of Magic like Warhammer and Lord of the Rings). In all honesty, I think they've done a really good job with the design of all of them, but all of these come with an artificial price hike. Even though this set has a 1 of 1, it's still a collector booster box that started off $100 more than regular collector booster boxes (350 vs 240), which angered a lot of people. Now it's just unaffordable for many, and almost guaranteed to be a loss unless you get a serialized card. The other thing that made a lot of people mad about this set is that it is Modern legal, which is a format in Magic that sees a lot of play. There are a lot of good cards in this set, but I think it's a combination of power creep, having outside IP in magic games, and a pretty substantial disrupting set to the Modern meta which makes people upset. Ultimately, I really like the set, I think it's well designed and flavorful, and I don't mind the IP crossovers in general. It would sell well no matter what, even without the serialized cards. I don't think this set should be a $350 set (500 was due to demand and I'm alright with that). Even the "affordable" set boxes are $180 which don't have any potential for serialized cards in them, vs the normal ~120 or so. It kind of feels like WotC is taking advantage of the consumers, and after everything they've done this year (mtg 30, micro sets, etc) people are getting tired of it.
It's cool that they made a lotr archetype. Would be awesome to see something like this in Yu-Gi-Oh. But I'm also glad to see how cheap yugioh is compared to magic, wow! I could never support a magic addiction too
It's a pretty cool set, but man I wouldn't spend $500. Although Yu-Gi-Oh prices can get pretty high for some key cards, it's usually much more calm and the boxes are a much better price. Haha I won't show you how to play magic then :D
Great work! Shame we didn't get the big hits, but that's just the magic luck.

Man thanks for your video, now not so hyped to grab a box sheeez what a drag of a booster box, lol.

It's Mcdonalds monopoly 2.0
So that Gollum hating Sam clip was epic! You got much more value than I expected!
Haha thank you! Yeah I was expecting around 100, so not bad overall. Would have been absolutely horrible for $500

Great Video! I really hope if someone pulls the one ring that they go destroy it in a volcano.
You and me both!

Pretty terrible.
