- A recent report in the Wall Street Journal finds the world at an alarming tipping point when it comes to birth rates and it could have serious economic and geopolitical consequences. The report says birth rates are dropping nearly everywhere. This is especially true in high income countries such as the US, where the CDC reported fertility rates in 2023 dropped to a historic low. All of this causing concern, that the global replacement rate is in jeopardy. The former chair of USCIRF and an advocate for International Religious Freedom and Working Family Policies, Nadine Maenza, joins to share what she thinks is behind declining numbers both domestically and globally. Maenza discusses what the implications are for dropping below the population replacement rate and what that means for a society as a whole.

I totally understand this point wholeheartedly. The problem is everything is so expensive.
All about the $$$
The wolves are upset the sheep won’t reproduce
I think very few people actually care, and that’s what makes this problem so pernicious.
Chillfree
Bears have gone BGTOW.
So we don’t have privacy for donor lists anymore now? Doesn’t that violate the constitution?
The anti-abortion people have long argued there is no right to privacy.
Free childcare. That's the only reason why I've had seven chemical abortions. Without free childcare and preschool, I don't want any kids. We subsidize every single grade after kindergarten, why not daycare and preschool too??
