If you’re going to paint your baseboards anyway, do you think it’s better than putty or caulk? You mentioned it’s not supposed to shrink. It also seems less messy. How has it held up in your closet?

So far so good. I would only say it's more convenient if it matches your paint and you don't have to touch it up.

Yea. Unless it perfectly matches your paint it's really not worth it
