Hey buddy how we doing ok , had a brilliant ride out yesterday in the lakes I did a loop of Windermere, nice roads stunning views and it was nice not to have any big climbs for the day & took about 1hr 40 mins. The west side is nice and quiet no one around

I'm good, thanks. Not been out this weekend: felt a bit 'meh' after my Covid jab on Friday. Windermere is lovely and, yes, the tourists don't tend to get that far out. You wouldn't have been far from The Old Rake if you'd fancied a Simon Warren...

@@WheelygoodCycling nice I’ll look out for that next time over there , yeah I was abit off for 3 days after jab , the 1st ride the next day took it easy as made it back . All ok now though

It's definitely got a sting in its tail! The trick, as not demonstrated by my mate on the video, is not to go so hard that you blow your doors on the lower slopes, because you'll need something for that last ramp... I'm sure you'll have no bother when you give it a try!

Very Staffordshire roadie has to do the Killer Mile once a year. It's the law.

In that case, I'll be back next year to make sure you get yours done... 😉🤣

Hi mate hope your well , can I ask about a climb you may of done , so how is the climb to tan hill from keld? I’m guessing it potentially the hardest of the three ways up on the basis it’s the shortest distance in the same way struggle is up to Kirkstone.

I’m good, thanks. I have ridden up Tan Hill from Keld and, from what I remember, it looks much worse than it actually is. There’s a steep pitch at the start and another further up. I’ve ridden the third route too, but it’s been so long that I don’t remember it particularly, but it’s not the easy choice as there’s a lot of it!

@@WheelygoodCycling yeah ok thanks for the info , it because it would be off the back of lamps moss then a loop back to Kirby Stephen. I have done the proper way from the east heading up ans that was a killer head wind felt like ages going up . Did you hear this week from mr 100 climbs about he’s found a new hardest climb , it’s in Wales again called the afon ddu with an avg 33% and tops out at 49% lol 😱 holy crap and there is yet no footage of this climb online so it’s calling for you sir

Nice loop! Lamps Moss is a bit of a swine, but it’ll get you nicely warmed up for the assault on Tan Hill! I did see something about a climb in Wales, but I was just skim reading and didn’t pay much attention at the time (I assumed it was one he’d already covered). Thanks to your heads up, I’ve had a dig and, yes, it’s an utter brute. If it takes Dan Evans (previous UK National HC champion) over 5 minutes to ride 0.2 miles, then that’s going to be interesting. It’s most definitely on the list for when I get into the Bangor area...
