    Good video, hit the basic points. One important thing tho, is that you need to be very careful to avoid breaking the air compressor hose attachment in the process because it's right there in the mix.

      @@bigmike4316luckily I was able to just attach what was left of the hose to the compressor if I remember correctly. Then i crossed my fingers. It never came loose again.

    Just started working on mine today, I have the same 1997 model....i have a question? when I remove both the hoses to the coolent reservoir will allot of coolent come out of the hoses?? I haven't removed it yet because I was afraid it would still everywhere?
    And my second question is,
    When I put the coolent reservoir back on, how much coolent do I need to put back inside? And do I need to bleed the system?

      I think you have to bleed the system before removing that reservoir

    can u do a video on oil pan gasket replacement for this car !! since no one else cant

    • @462ANIMAL
      @462ANIMAL 7 років тому

      Are you sure you need a oil pan gasket? I had a 99 Continental, had oil leaking from the oil filter housing, there are O'rings oil and coolant.. if you have oil drops coming from that area.. it is behind the A/C compressor.

    • @buckeyesonly4903
      @buckeyesonly4903 7 років тому

      There's allot of corrosion around the oil pan and it is getting on the ac compressor but in the exhaust manifolds are right in my way I could use a different tool but its a pain in the neck . I'm a mechanic but I wana see a video just to be on the safe side

    • @462ANIMAL
      @462ANIMAL 7 років тому

      To pull the oil pan, you will need to remove the exhaust cats.. but if not on a hoist, it might be tough to get that off.. I have done a lot of work over the years on this kinda car. I've had the transmission out a few times and had to replace the valve body..

    • @buckeyesonly4903
      @buckeyesonly4903 7 років тому

      Yea I heard of blue devil oil stopper I might try that if not I'll just have to take the cats out

    • @462ANIMAL
      @462ANIMAL 7 років тому

      Hopefully that will work for you, I think it will if it's a seal leaking like rear main or crank seal. if it's due to a rusty oil pan then I'd say no. Well good luck with it, if you have any questions about it I might know as I had my Continental for 6 years.

    I have a problem with your production ! It took you longer than Seven minutes to R&R the alternator on this vehicle. You are doing the Automotive repair industry a disservice.

    Might be a good video. I will never find out. I have a particular disdain for videos that block out 2/3 of the screen. I, already have a vision problem and this weak method of hiding most of the screen doesn't make sense to me
